Chapter 13

Chapter 13

53.

"Teacher, I know why most sorcerers are single." Shiori Tadano imitated Conan's signature move, pointing her finger forward, as if there is only one truth.

"Hmm? Smart Shiori, tell us quickly, why is that?" Gojo Satoru immediately became interested. He cupped his hands to his ears as if receiving a receiver, and leaned forward with his upper body, as if he was listening attentively.

"Because even Valentine's Day has an emergency mission!" Shiori continued to imitate Conan, putting her hands in her pockets and said confidently.

"There's nothing I can do about it," Gojo Satoru smiled and ruffled her hair. "After all, this is a special-grade cursed spirit created for Valentine's Day."

Ijichi Jiegao walked over quickly, holding information about the cursed spirit. He introduced it to the two in a deep voice, "This special-grade cursed spirit was born in Shibuya, a place that is especially bustling every Valentine's Day. It can instantly turn lovers against each other, leading to fatal attacks. It has already caused many casualties."

He paused, frowning slightly. "What's even more troublesome is that it's not only good at hiding its whereabouts, but it's also very fast. Plus, the huge flow of people in Shibuya provides it with excellent hiding conditions. This is why the original sorcerer failed."

"This special-grade cursed spirit is currently hiding somewhere in Shibuya. While I can track it, its speed makes it impossible to pinpoint its exact location." Ijichi Jiegao flipped through the information and continued, "However, based on observations, it often appears when couples are exchanging chocolates. It also seems to be particularly interested in handsome men, specifically targeting them."

After saying this, he turned to Shiori and said, "Considering the special nature of the cursed spirit, I will ask Ms. Tadano to assist Mr. Gojo in carrying out the mission this time."

"What a bitter curse," Shiori muttered silently, "It sounds like a collection of resentment from someone who's jealous of the handsome guy getting tons of chocolates while she herself receives no chocolates."

"I see," Gojo Satoru suggested, clapping his hands. "Then let's go buy a box of chocolates first~"

Shiori took out two small bags tied with ribbons from her pocket and said, "As for chocolate, I have some here." Then she handed the bags to Gojo Satoru and Ijichi Jietaka respectively.

Ijichi Jiegao was a little surprised when he took it, and quickly thanked her, "Thank you very much, Ms. Tadano!"

Gojo Satoru, however, drew out his words in an exaggerated tone, pointing at the bag in Ijichi Jiegao's hand: "Eh! Why does Ijichi have one too? And it's heart-shaped!?"

Shiori hurriedly explained: "That's because..."

54.

"Do you want me to teach you how to make chocolate?" Shiori Tadano blinked and her eyes fell on the two little girls in front of her.

"Yes!" Nanako took a half step forward, her voice full of joy, "We want to make chocolates for Master Geto!"

Mimiko nodded vigorously as well, looking up and softly asking, "Can I ask you?"

Shiori scratched her hair in distress, feeling a little embarrassed: "But I've never made chocolate before."

Even so, she curled her lips and patted her chest: "But Valentine's Day is still two days away, let's give it a try together, right? There must be a way!"

Over the next two days, the home economics classroom became the three girls' secret base, the clatter of weighing ingredients and the occasional quiet laughter filling the room to the brim.

But on Valentine's Day, an awkward silence filled the home economics classroom.

Nanako took a bite of the chocolate on the plate, and her brows knitted together. The taste on her tongue was a mixture of bitterness and sourness, and she couldn't help but mutter, "Why does this taste so strange?"

Shiori picked up a piece and examined it for a long time, then poked the soft surface and said in confusion, "I clearly followed the tutorial."

"Let's do it again quickly." Mimiko looked at the sun setting outside the window, with a hint of anxiety in her tone.

Shiori watched the two little girls slump their shoulders, listless like deflated balls. The wall clock ticked, and the hands reached four p.m. She sighed softly and activated the spell: "There's nothing else we can do. We'll have to call in some help."

——【Cooking Badge】With the badge, you can automatically make the delicious food you want.

Shiori pinned the badge on her chest. The next second, her movements suddenly became smooth, as if guided by an invisible force. The air was gradually filled with the rich and slightly bitter aroma of cocoa, which was completely different from the previous failed product.

"Wow!" Nanako and Mimiko approached curiously, looking at the silky, smooth chocolate in the basin. They carefully poured the chocolate liquid into the mold, gently shook it to smooth the surface, and then put it in the refrigerator to solidify.

"The molds you prepared are all in the shape of hearts?" Shiori looked at the rows of small heart-shaped molds and gently poked the edge of the largest heart-shaped mold.

After Nanako and Mimiko finished packing the chocolates for Geto Suguru, there were still enough finished products left on the table to form a small mountain.

Shiori then began to pack them up and planned to distribute them to other people in the high school.

55.

"So, the one Shiori gave me is the biggest one!" Gojo Satoru said with his hands on his hips, looking proud.

"Yes, yes." Shiori raised her hand and scratched her cheek a little embarrassedly. In fact, considering that Gojo Satoru loves sweets, she specially left the biggest portion for him.

Now that the props were ready, the two found an alley away from the flow of people, intending to lure the cursed spirit to appear.

Shiori walked up to Gojo Satoru and solemnly handed him the chocolate: "Gojo-kun, please accept my chocolate!"

Gojo Satoru took the chocolate with a smile: "Okay."

But a minute passed and there was still no movement around.

Shiori tilted her head in confusion: "Where's the cursed spirit?"

Gojo Satoru was also puzzled: "That's weird. Didn't he say he only targeted handsome guys?"

At this moment, Ichichi Jiegao, who had been hiding not far away, came out, pushed his glasses, and said seriously, "Mr. Gojo, is it possible that the problem lies with your appearance?"

Shiori and Gojo Satoru exchanged a glance before realizing, "Yeah! Half of his face was covered by bandages!"

So Gojo Satoru replaced the bandage with sunglasses and prepared to attract the cursed spirit to appear again.

But the result was exactly the same as before, nothing happened.

"What's going on! I'm the super handsome guy Gojo Satoru!" Gojo Satoru yelled in dissatisfaction.

Ijichi Jiegao pondered for a moment and offered another possibility: "Perhaps it's because the two of you don't look like a couple? After all, the information from the window says it will target couples first, and handsome men second."

56.

On Valentine's Day, the streets of Shibuya are crowded with couples, and a sweet atmosphere permeates the air amidst the hustle and bustle.

In the quiet alley, the dim street lights made the two gradually approaching figures appear particularly clear.

A tall, white-haired man stood in the halo, his ironed blue shirt accentuating his shoulders, his black trousers draped over his straight, long legs. He lowered his eyes slightly, gazing at the girl running toward him, his azure pupils gleaming in the light.

"Gojo-kun, sorry to have kept you waiting." The girl ran to him and stood still. When she looked up, the ends of her hair were still trembling from running.

The man leaned in closer, his cool fingertips brushing away the strands of hair from her forehead. "You didn't wait long."

The warm breath brushed against Shiori's ears, and her mind went blank. Her eyes fell uncontrollably on the buttons of his shirt.

"Relax a little," Gojo Satoru looked at her tense profile and couldn't help but poke her cheek with his finger. "If you act like this, others will know you're pretending."

"...How can I relax?" Shiori pursed her lips. Face! The face was too close! It was impossible to think at this distance!

"Just like usual." He smiled even more broadly and suddenly lifted her chin, forcing her to look at him. "Give me the chocolate quickly. I can't be late for Valentine's Day."

The coolness of his fingertips passed through his jaw, and Shiori could even see herself reflected in his eyes. Her heartbeat was like a drum, and she pinched her palm hard, forcing herself to look away.

"Um, um, Gojo-kun, please accept my chocolate!"

"Shh." Gojo Satoru blinked and suddenly took her hand, "Here I come."

Before he could finish his words, a cold curse force rushed out from the gaps in the crowd, so fast that people could hardly react.

"Now!" Gojo Satoru's voice rang close to her ear. He suddenly tightened his grip on her hand and moved her to the side.

Shiori immediately formed a seal and closed the tent: "Born from darkness, from darkness to darkness, all filth and impurities are exorcised."

"So this is what it looks like." Gojo Satoru chuckled, but his eyes instantly turned cold. "Infinite Space."

The domain expanded instantly, enveloping the special-grade cursed spirit. The cursed spirit's movements suddenly froze, and it struggled in vain in the domain, letting out a shrill scream.

"Done~" Gojo Satoru retracted his domain and watched the cursed spirits turn into ashes under the impact of the cursed power. A smile returned to his face, and he shook her hand while still holding hers. "Mission accomplished, Shiori."

The warmth of her palms came through the touching skin. Shiori pulled her hand back as if she had been electrocuted, and rubbed it hard behind her back, as if this could wipe away the remaining warmth.

She looked at Gojo Satoru's back as he turned and left, his white hair gently sweeping in the evening breeze, and couldn't help but mutter under her breath, "Beauty is such a misleading thing."

57.

Watching Gojo Satoru put on his sunglasses again, Tadano Shiori suddenly remembered Panda and Angeki's exaggerated reactions when they learned that he had given them kimonos, and couldn't help but ask, "Teacher, when you gave me the kimono before, did you have any other meaning?"

Gojo Satoru tilted his head slightly and replied in a light tone, "No, I gave it to you if I wanted to."

"I knew you'd think so, Teacher." Shiori replied with a smile, adding, "Besides, you're my elder, after all. An elder's gift..."

"Huh? Elder? Are you talking about me?"

Shiori was startled by his suddenly raised tone, and subconsciously wanted to step back, but his wrist was firmly grasped in his palm.

Ijichi Jiegao observed the delicate atmosphere between the two and tactfully pushed his glasses up. "Now that the curse has been exorcised, I'll go back and prepare the mission report. Mr. Gojo, Ms. Tadano, thank you for your hard work."

"What's wrong?" Shiori swallowed, her eyes a little dazed. "You are indeed much older than me. And when we were in technical high school, you were the teacher and I was the student. In terms of seniority, aren't you the elder?"

Gojo Satoru released her wrists and reached out to pinch her cheeks, gently pulling them apart. "Much bigger? Do I look old?"

"No, not old!" Shiori's cheeks were pinched so hard that they were a little deformed, and her words became slurred. "You look very young! You look younger than many people your age!"

"Then the word 'elder' is even more wrong, isn't it?" Gojo Satoru loosened his grip, his fingertips still brushing against her cheek, his tone a little aggrieved, "I don't consider myself an elder."
