Chapter 3

Chapter 3

9.

In the indoor training grounds, Tadano Shiori was concentrating on another round of sword swings. When she arrived, Hyō Kinji and Hoshi Kirara had already finished their training and were packing up to leave, leaving her alone in the training grounds.

Compared to the sound of the bamboo sword swinging, the sudden footsteps behind her entered her ears first. Shiori wiped the sweat from her forehead and turned to look at the two people approaching her.

"Yo~"

Gojo Satoru put one hand in his pocket and raised the other high, smiling and greeting her. Next to him was a young boy with soft black hair plastered to his forehead and a slightly evasive look in his eyes, looking like a shy puppy.

Shiori withdrew her gaze, turned to Gojo Satoru and asked, "Teacher, is there something you want to talk to me about?"

"I do have something I'd like to trouble you with, Shiori," Gojo Satoru said, smiling as he took two steps closer. "But before we get down to business, I need you two to get to know each other first."

He put his arm around Yuuta Otsutsuki's shoulders and gently pushed him towards Shiori, introducing him cheerfully, "Jianjiang! This is the first-year student, Yuuta Otsutsuki." Then he turned to Yuuta Otsutsuki and raised his chin, "Yuuta, say hello to Shiori. She's your senior."

"Hello, Senior Shiori. I'm Yuta Otsutsuki. Thank you for your guidance." Yuta Otsutsuki bowed hurriedly, and the loose hair on his forehead fell to the tip of his nose.

Shiori looked at him and nodded slightly: "Hello, Yuta."

Gojo Satoru clapped his hands, drawing their attention back. "Alright, now that you've met, I'll get down to business." He moved closer to Shiori's side. "Shiori, please teach Yuta how to use a sword. You need to train him thoroughly."

Shiori instinctively shrank back. Gojo Satoru's face suddenly so close to hers made her heart skip a beat and she felt a little dizzy. She quickly averted her gaze and turned to Otsutsuki Yuta, who was nervously clutching the corner of his clothes.

"Okay, leave it to me." Shiori nodded in agreement.

Gojo Satoru stood up, raised his hand and gently rubbed Shiori's hair: "I knew Shiori was the most reliable. I feel very relieved to leave her to you. Then you two should get familiar with each other first. Ijichi is still waiting for me, I'll leave first~" After saying that, he waved his hand, turned around and left quickly.

Shiori watched him walk away, the heat in her ears still lingering. She quickly turned back to look at Yuta Otsutsuki, who was still in a daze. "Come on, I'll start by teaching you how to hold a sword."

Yuta Otsutsukota suddenly came back to his senses and quickly responded, "Okay, okay, please give me your guidance, senior."

Shiori stared at him and said seriously, "Just so you know, I'm very strict. Are you okay with that?"

Yuta Otsutsuki immediately stood up straight and replied firmly, "It's okay, senior."

Shiori looked at his obedient appearance and confirmed in her heart that he really was like a puppy.

10.

During the Taijutsu class, Shiori stood on the sidelines, her eyes fixed on the first-year students.

Panda sat cross-legged on the grass beside the track, occasionally counting to remind the students on the track of the remaining laps.

On the track, Zenin Maki always maintained an even breathing rhythm, and her high ponytail swung out neat arcs behind her with her steady steps.

Inumaki Satoru's speed was slightly slower than Zenin Maki's. He turned his head from time to time and looked at Otsutsuki Yuta who was lagging behind. His lips moved silently, as if he wanted to say something encouraging, but in the end he just pursed his lips into a shallow arc, turned his head and continued to move forward.

Yuta Okkotsu, who was at the end of the group, had his shirt already soaked with sweat and stuck tightly to his back.

His steps were so unsteady that every time he passed Shiori, his long eyelashes would flutter in panic, as if silently saying, "Sorry, I'm too slow."

When he finally finished running twenty laps, Yuta Otsutsuka's knees went weak and he fell to his knees on the track, supporting himself with his hands on the hot plastic floor and breathing heavily. Beads of sweat the size of beans fell on the plastic track, leaving a small dark mark.

Shiori squatted down beside him and encouraged him: "Yuta, you did a great job."

Yuta Otsutsuki opened his mouth to respond, but his throat was blocked by a burst of rapid coughing. He could only nod vigorously, and the strands of hair on his forehead stuck tightly to his sweaty skin.

Shiori stood up, clapped her hands, and said loudly, "Take a ten-minute break, then we'll start sparring. Maki and Yuta will be one team, and Panda and Soji will be one team."

Ten minutes later, the sparring officially began. As soon as Yuta Otsutsukota took his opening stance, his bamboo sword was knocked away by Zenin Maki.

Shiori watched this scene silently: ...

It seems that this child really needs more basic training.

11.

Shiori walked out of the tent that had just been raised, and the scorching air hit her face, like an airtight net, wrapping her tightly in an instant.

The mission that just ended was not difficult. It was just dealing with a second-level cursed spirit wandering around the residential area.

The assistant supervisor handed the water to her and said, "Ms. Tadano, would you like me to take you back to the high school?"

Shiori took the water: "No, I still have something to take care of, you go back first." She looked past the assistant supervisor and looked at the street in the distance. There was a good bakery nearby. After buying things, she could just take a taxi back.

After saying goodbye to the assistant supervisor, Shiori turned into a quiet alley, intending to buy some bread first. After walking a few steps, she saw something fall out of the shopping bag of a passerby in front of her.

"Ma'am! Your things—"

She subconsciously opened her mouth to remind him, her eyes dropped down, but she suddenly stopped mid-sentence, her eyes wide open, her tone full of disbelief:

"Hey? Your fried steak and double eggs fell on the floor!"

Shiori was shocked.

Shiori felt very strange.

Shiori took another look.

Curiosity drove her to move closer. The golden steak had slightly charred edges, and the egg on top was fried to perfection. Broccoli and corn were scattered around, and even the matching knives and forks were neatly arranged, as if it had just been served from Sayya.

Shiori quickly pulled out her phone and took a few photos to send to Gojo Satoru. "Teacher, look! I saw a wild steak on the side of the road! It's exactly like the one in Sayari!"

Gojo Satoru: "Hahaha! Really!" Then another message came: "Did the mission go smoothly?"

Shiori's lips curved slightly as she looked at the message on the screen and replied, "It went very smoothly! Now I'm going to buy some bread."

After waiting for a while without receiving a reply, she guessed that Gojo Satoru had probably gone into the tent to complete a task, so she put her phone back in her pocket and continued walking towards the bakery.

12.

Shiori stood in the shade of a tree, holding a bag of freshly baked bread in her left hand and a cold drink she bought from a convenience store in her right hand.

She had originally planned to take a taxi back to the technical high school after buying the bread, but her attention was drawn to the noisy crowd in the children's park not far away. A group of people in winter clothes were crowded around the slide, and the camera lens was facing the center. The figure in the bright red Santa Claus suit was her sister, Shino Tadano.

It was a scorching summer day, but my sister was singing in her winter clothes. Her colleagues were even more outrageous: one was wearing a bunny costume, another a bear costume, and two boys were wrapped in thick sweaters, scarves around their necks, and even cotton hats.

Even from a few meters away, Shiori could clearly see the large beads of sweat rolling down her sister's face. Is this what a corporate slave is like? Sister, you're so strong!

During the pause in filming, Shino Tadano collapsed like a popped balloon, folding her hands in front of her face, desperately fanning herself. Seizing this momentary opening, Shiori scrambled through the crowd, bag in hand.

"elder sister!"

Tadano Shino suddenly looked up, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes: "Shiori? Why are you here?"

"I'm on a business trip nearby and just happened to be passing by." Shiori handed over the bag of cold drink, "Replenish your energy first."

Tadano Shino's eyes lit up, and she turned to call her colleagues over to share drinks. Amidst the noisy thanks, she grabbed Shiori's wrist and ducked behind the bushes, not letting go until they were completely out of sight. She leaned closer to her sister and lowered her voice, "Shiori Amu, please help me."

Shiori looked at her sister's cheeks which were flushed due to the heat, hesitated for two seconds, and finally sighed softly and activated the technique.

After several attempts of summoning, disappearing, and then summoning again, a small yellow jar appeared out of thin air in her palm.

——【Hot and Cold Contrast Cream】Apply it on your body and you will feel warm when it is cold and cool when it is hot.

Shiori unscrewed the lid, scooped out a little and smeared it on Tadono Shino's body. The cool touch made her hum softly in comfort.

"It's only good for five minutes," Shiori warned as she sealed the jar tightly. "And you absolutely cannot tell anyone else."

Tadano Shino nodded repeatedly and just as she had straightened her clothes, she heard the director shout, "Everyone, take your positions." She immediately turned and ran to the set, where a kotatsu covered with a thick quilt was waiting for the four of them to sit in and shoot the winter scene.

When the cameras started up again, Tadano Shino was in perfect shape. Curled up in her kotatsu, her shoulders trembling slightly, she looked as if she were truly in the snowy winter.

"Sister Shino, you are so amazing!" Rabbit Man and Omoteda Rimichi exclaimed.

Brother Chi Zhao, however, was so hot that he looked confused and interjected, "Steamed rice balls?"

13.

Shiori stopped abruptly, suspecting she was hallucinating—how could she hear Gojo Satoru's voice here?

She looked left and right, but there was no sight of the familiar tall, white-haired figure that always caught her eye at first glance. It was not until she looked in the direction of the sound that her eyes were fixed on the man who was putting a bear costume on the director.

She just stared at him motionlessly until the other person turned around, and the face finally came into her sight clearly.

Although it was a completely unfamiliar face, his voice was so similar to Gojo Satoru's!

"Shiori? What are you looking at?"

Tadano Shino's voice suddenly came from behind her, and Shiori froze in shock.

At this time, the filming on the set had been completely interrupted. The staff were busy carrying the director to the shade of the trees. Some people pressed an ice pack on his forehead, some held up umbrellas to block the scorching sun for him, and some were hurriedly looking for the first aid kit. The scene was in chaos.

"Nothing." Shizhi quickly looked away and said, "Sister, I have to go first. I still have work to do."

Tadano Shino smiled, stood on tiptoe, and gently rubbed the top of her head with her hand: "Then next time we meet, I will treat you to sukiyaki."

Shiori was puzzled. Why did everyone love to touch her head? Gojo Satoru did it, and so did her sister. But her sister was obviously half a head shorter than her, yet she insisted on standing on tiptoe to touch her head.

14.

There were two people sitting on a bench not far from the set.

Omoteda Ritsuji glanced at the rabbit man beside him and asked, "Why are you holding your drink so carefully?"

The rabbit man chuckled and held the can closer to his chest like a treasure: "This is a gift from Shino-sister's lovely younger sister!"

"Then drink it quickly." Omoteda Ritsuji raised his hand and pulled off the scarf around his neck that was already soaked with sweat, and casually put it on the back of the chair.

The Rabbit Man shook his head vigorously like a rattle: "I want to savor it in every sense later."

Omoteda Ritsu had no choice but to repeat himself: "Drink it quickly, it will be hot soon."
