Chapter 35

Chapter 35

140.

On the day Shiori graduated, she came to his office with a box of beautifully packaged Japanese sweets.

She said, "Teacher, thank you so much for taking care of me for these four years."

He happily took it and shook it: "I'm so happy~ Is this the graduation gift that Shiori prepared for me?"

She scratched her head. "I probably won't come to school often anymore, so the chances of seeing you will probably become fewer. So I figured I should come and say thank you to the teacher."

I don't remember exactly what he said in response, but I remember being jolted awake by those words: yes, she had graduated.

Back in those days at technical college, even when they were both incredibly busy, he knew she was there. So whenever he saw a new dessert while on a mission, he'd instinctively buy an extra to bring back. And when he passed by her dorm late at night on his way back to campus, he'd habitually glance in the window to see if the light was on.

But what if she is no longer in the technical college?

When he finished his task and came back with dessert, there would no longer be a figure waiting to be fed in the office.

She will meet new people outside and enter a more lively world, and their lives will be like two diverging lines, never coming together again, let alone checking in at a newly opened dessert shop together.

She likes good-looking people so much. Maybe one day she will meet someone she likes, fall in love, get married, and give birth to a bunch of round-faced kids like her... By then, will she still remember him, her teacher who she has only been with for four years?

Four years is probably just a brief episode in her long life.

The next time they met, it might actually be at her wedding. She'd be wearing a pristine white wedding dress, holding someone else's hand as she approached to toast him, smiling and inviting him, her mentor, to speak. Maybe she'd even say, "Thank you, teacher, for your guidance back then," with tears in her eyes...

This ending is too bad.

It was obviously he who discovered her first, taught her step by step, and always stuffed her with so many desserts. How could she just say thank you and slip away from his world?

So he began to find various reasons to keep her.

Today he said, "The first-year Taijutsu class needs an assistant teacher. Shiori, please come and help."

I'll take her on a mission tomorrow: "This spell is very suitable for you to practice. I'll take you there to gain some experience."

Houtian deliberately frowned and muttered, "I really want to try the new product from that store in Ginza. Can Shizhi help me buy it?"

In this way, he would always see her when he came back from completing his mission. For this, Glass complained about him being a scumbag, but he felt wronged.

This was clearly a privilege Shiori had tacitly granted. As long as he acted a little coquettishly, like saying in a drawn-out voice, "Shiori, just help me this once," or deliberately leaning closer and gazing at her with those azure eyes, she would always blush and softly agree, "Okay, teacher."

Since she gave him this power, why didn't he use it?

Besides, even if he didn't need her, there would always be other men who would covet her, right? I was really worried that she would be deceived by those guys who were only good-looking. Besides, what's the point of being good-looking? Is she as good-looking as him?

In the dead of night, he inevitably had the physiological needs of an adult man. In the past, he would usually clear his mind in the shower, letting the warm water wash over his body, and mechanically solve the problem. But since when, Shiori's image would always appear in his mind uncontrollably.

It was when they checked in at the dessert shop together, she looked back at him with a spoon in her hand, and called him "Teacher" with a smile.

It was her birthday. She blew out the candles and looked up at him, her eyes sparkling as she called him "Teacher".

It was the look of him pinning her down during physical training, her hair sticking to her flushed cheeks, and her calling her "teacher" angrily.

The sound of water mixed with suppressed breathing. He closed his eyes and quickened his movements. The figure in his mind became clearer and clearer.

I imagined that when those eyes looked at me, what came out of my lips was not the teacher, but his name "Satoru".

"Shiori..." He whispered her name, releasing himself in the warm water.

After taking a shower and returning to the room, he took out strawberry milk from the refrigerator and stared blankly at the cold carton.

Oh no, could he really be a scumbag like Glass said?

Thinking about these things to my students...

However, this bit of self-condemnation didn't last long. He took out his phone and sent a message to the principal: "Principal, I think Shiori is very suitable to stay on campus as a teaching assistant. What do you think?"

This way, they would be colleagues, which was both reasonable and legitimate, and would allow her to stay by his side.

Later, when he came back from his spell-binding internship with Yuta and Maki, he saw her leaning against the office door waiting for him. Even her dazed look was particularly cute.

He walked over and ruffled her hair. This is the right way. Shiori must stay with him, otherwise she will be kidnapped by bad men outside.

Gojo Satoru stared at the restricted description in the document, his fingertips paused: "Hmm... this part can't be broadcast, delete it~"

After finishing the document, he picked up the notepad Ijichi had given him and typed in the email address. When he saw the name of the person, he raised an eyebrow. "Huh? Mr. Cartoonist is a foreigner."

To Charles Bernard.

The izakaya is lit with warm yellow lights at night, and the air is filled with the aroma of grilled food.

Shiori coaxed the white cat curled up on the cash register softly: "Mimi, can you let me hold you?"

It was a ragdoll cat owned by the owner's child. The child had gone abroad and had left this ball of snow-white fur in the shop's care. Shiori was immediately drawn to it as she entered the shop. Its fluffy white fur and blue eyes matched the color scheme of a certain large cat.

The kitten tilted its head to look at her, its pink nose moved slightly, and in response to her invitation it just wagged its tail without moving at all.

"Guest, would you like to try this?" The boss handed over two cat strips.

Sure enough, as soon as the aluminum foil bag was torn open, the white cat immediately jumped into Shiori's arms.

After getting the boss's permission, she opened the door of the private room while holding the cat. Inside, Angeki was clinking glasses with Ieiri Shoko. Shiori held the cat high in her arms and said, "Look, seniors! It's so cute!"

She sat down across from them and gently ran her fingertips along the soft fur on the cat's back.

After a while, Ijichi Jiegao and Nanami Kento pushed the door open one after another. Shiori didn't see Gojo Satoru, so she asked, "Where's Satoru? Didn't he come with Ijichi-senpai?"

Ijichi Kitago pushed up his glasses. "There's something with the cartoonist that needs Mr. Gojo to take care of. He should be here soon."

Shiori nodded and sipped her melon soda. Angeki glanced at her, raised her eyebrows, and asked with a smile, "Don't you want to drink? You should be able to drink now, right?"

Shiori hesitated. Every time they drank together, she would black out and wake up the next day with no memory of what she had done... Should she drink?

"Isn't Gojo coming soon?" Ieiri Naoko added some vodka to her glass. "With him here, what's there to be afraid of?"

Shiori thought about it and agreed. If Gojo Satoru were here, he'd definitely stop her even if she drank too much. She downed the rest of the melon soda in her cup and pushed the empty glass forward. "Then, Senior, just pour it here."

As soon as he finished speaking, the door of the private room was opened and Gojo Satoru walked in, his eyes sweeping over the white cat in Shiori's arms.

"A stealing cat!"

He took a few steps over and picked up the white cat in Shiori's arms: "Where did this guy come from?"

"It's the boss's cat," Shiori said, reaching out to pick it up. "Look at its fluffy tail. Isn't it cute? Okay, give it to me. Don't scare it."

Gojo Satoru didn't give it to her. He carried the cat over and sat down next to Shiori.

Shiori didn't try to grab it. He was sitting next to her anyway, so she could still touch the cat with her hand.

She was chatting with An Geji about the school sports meet the day after tomorrow when suddenly a drunken head rested on her shoulder.

"Enlightenment?"

Gojo Satoru didn't respond, but just rubbed against her neck like a clingy cat.

Nanami Kento's expression was slightly tense: "Mr. Gojo doesn't look right."

Across from him, Jialiu Xianzi put down his wine glass and looked at him for a moment: "Is he drunk?"

Shiori was stunned: "That's impossible, I ordered cantaloupe soda for him..." She stopped talking abruptly, and her face suddenly changed as she suddenly remembered something, "Ah - he drank my cup!"

She had finished her glass long ago, and the refill was the cocktail that Jiaru Nishiko had mixed for her.

The room suddenly fell silent. Ichichi Jiegao pushed up his glasses and said, "So, what do we do now?"

Shiori carefully took the cat from Gojo Satoru's arms and handed it to the Angeki beside him: "I'll take Satoru back first, seniors, continue drinking."

Nanami Kento: "Tadono, do you need my help?"

"No need~ Thank you, Nanami-senpai," Shiori supported Gojo Satoru's arm and stood up, waving to everyone, "We'll be leaving first."

Even though Gojo Satoru was drunk, he was steady on his feet, but he clung to her too tightly. He leaned heavily on Shiori as he walked, practically hanging from her.

After bringing him back to his room, Shiori squatted in front of him, looked up and asked, "Wu, do you want some water?"

Gojo Satoru just rested his chin on the top of her head and said nothing.

Shiori sighed, thinking she'd better pour him a glass of warm water to sober him up. As she stood up, the person behind her suddenly came up to her and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.

"Meow"

Shiori's eyes widened in shock. "Satoru? Did you just say something?" No way! Could Gojo Satoru really have turned into a cat when he got drunk?

Gojo Satoru buried his face in the back of her neck and meowed softly several times in succession, which sounded very much like the ragdoll cat's cry just now.

"Am I cuter than that cat?"

"You're all so cute."

Gojo Satoru snorted in dissatisfaction: "I have a tail too, Shiori, do you want to touch it?"

Shiori wondered, "Where's your tail?"

Gojo Satoru loosened one of his arms from around her waist, and Shiori heard the rustling of fabric behind her. She tried to turn around, but his grip on her waist was so tight that she couldn't move at all.

After a moment, he held her hand and moved it down, whispering, "Feel my tail."
