Chapter 23

Chapter 23

93.

Shiori Tadano leaned against the car window, looking at the street lights passing by. Gojo Satoru beside her didn't say anything, but she could clearly feel his eyes on her.

"That black rope..." She suddenly heard her own voice come out first, and even she was stunned. She had clearly made up her mind not to think about it anymore, so how could she blurt it out?

Gojo Satoru turned sideways and said, "Hmm? What happened to the black rope?"

Shiori bit her lower lip quickly: "Nothing." She mumbled, trying to swallow the rash words back into her throat.

Gojo Satoru didn't intend to let it go: "Are you wondering why I gave it to you?"

Shizhi turned her head and looked at him with her eyes wide open: "Teacher clearly knows..."

"I know." Gojo Satoru interrupted her, "That's why I gave it to you."

The carriage suddenly fell silent, leaving only the rustling of the wheels on the road. Shiori's heart was beating rapidly. What was this? A test? Or...

"Teacher, aren't you afraid that I will use it against you?" She said in a soft voice.

Gojo Satoru laughed, his shoulders shaking slightly. "Shiori wouldn't do that." He reached out and ruffled her hair. "I trust you."

Shiori lowered her eyes: "... whatever you want."

94.

The taxi stopped at the Gaozhuan entrance.

Shiori suddenly felt the alcohol rising up and her steps staggered slightly.

Gojo Satoru reached out and held her arm, his voice coming from above her head: "Hold on tight."

"I told you I'm not drunk." Shiori broke free from his hand and took a half step back, her cheeks burning as if they were about to burst into flames.

"Yes, yes, yes." Gojo Satoru agreed with a smile, took her hand and walked towards the dormitory, "I can walk you to the door, right?"

Moonlight fell on their clasped hands. Shiori's slender fingers were half-wrapped in his broad palm. She didn't struggle anymore, letting him hold her hand, listening to the sound of their footsteps echoing in the silent campus.

When they reached the dormitory door, Shiori stopped and broke free from his hand: "We're here."

"Yeah." Gojo Satoru looked at her, "Go in and have a good rest."

Shiori nodded, turned around and took out the key, but her fingers were a little out of control and she couldn't align it with the keyhole for a long time.

A low laugh came from behind her, and her hand was gently held. Gojo Satoru helped her insert the key into the keyhole and opened the door.

"Good night, Shiori." His voice was too close, with a hint of warmth, falling on the earlobe, feeling a little itchy.

Shiori suddenly pushed the door open and slipped in. She turned her back to him and mumbled "good night". She closed the door and leaned her back against it, her chest still pounding.

She slowly slid down the door panel and sat on the ground. She raised her hand to touch her ears which were incredibly hot, then looked down at her hand. The place where he had just held her hand seemed to still be warm.

The wall in my heart seemed to have had a large brick knocked down.

She hugged her knees and buried her face in them. What exactly did this man want her to do?

95.

When Geto Suguru went to the self-service machine to buy a drink, he saw Gojo Satoru standing motionless downstairs of the teachers' dormitory from a distance.

"Satoru, what are you doing here?"

Gojo Satoru turned around, cupping his cheeks with his hands, shaking his head slightly from side to side, his tone sickeningly sweet: "Nothing, Jie."

The corners of Xia Yujie's mouth twitched, and he complained mercilessly: "Your smile is so disgusting."

96.

It turned out that the world of curse arts was truly short of talent. From the time Yoshino Junpei requested to transfer to a technical high school to the time he packed his bags and moved into the dormitory, it took only a day.

He has no skills and his cursed energy is very weak. In the future, he will probably develop into an auxiliary supervisor like Ijichi Jie Gao.

The trio of second-year students who had been away on a support mission had returned. Gojo Satoru suggested a party, both to celebrate Yoshino Junpei's enrollment and to allow the first and second-year students to get to know each other better.

Panda shook his paw and said, "There are four people in the first grade now, just like us in the second grade."

Inujuan Ji nodded: "Salmon."

Kugisaki Nobara asked curiously, "Who is the other second-year student?"

Fushiguro Megumi raised her eyes and replied, "It's Otsutsuki-senpai, he's overseas now."

Zenin Maki glanced at the door and asked, "Why haven't Shiori and that idiot come yet?"

Yuji Itadori immediately raised his hand to explain: "Gojo-sensei and Tadano-sensei are on a mission together! They said they would come over when the mission is over!"

Junpei Yoshino sat quietly in the corner, watching the new classmates chatting and laughing, and occasionally exchanging a few words with Yuji Itadori beside him.

On the other side, Shiori and Gojo Satoru had just successfully completed the mission at the juvenile detention center and recovered a Sukuna finger from the special-grade cursed spirit.

As the two walked side by side towards the meeting place, Shiori's attention was attracted by a tandem bicycle that had passed by them three times.

It was normal when she passed by for the first time, with two people pedaling side by side. But seeing a tandem bicycle in such a place made her pay a few more glances at it for some reason.

When the bike passed by for the second time, only the male high school student in the front seat was pedaling hard, and the girl in the back seat was sitting sideways with her feet dangling in the air, like a small pendant hanging on the back seat of the bike.

When the car passed by them for the third time, the girl in the back seat didn't just sit there. Instead, she didn't hold the handlebars, but instead tightly grasped the corner of the clothes of the high school boy in the front seat - was this a shojo comic?

"Let's go." Shiori looked away and quickened her pace. "They must be getting impatient."

After walking a few steps, she realized that Gojo Satoru hadn't caught up with her. Turning around, she saw him talking to two people on a tandem bicycle. When she approached, the two had already left, leaving only the tandem bicycle.

Gojo Satoru patted the cushion and smiled at Shiori, "Shiori, come up quickly."

Shiori refused without a second thought: "I don't want it."

"Hey—" Gojo Satoru took off his sunglasses, blew a kiss with his fingers, blinked, and said, "This is the exclusive seat I reserved for Shiori~"

97.

The two people gradually walked away.

Sakura Chiyo raised her head and looked at Nozaki Umetaro beside her: "Nozaki-kun, do you know that person just now?"

She thought of the white-haired man who had stopped them to buy a bicycle. That man was actually taller than Nozaki-kun, which was really rare.

Nozaki Umetaro replied calmly, "I don't know him, I just used him as a reference."

Sakura Chiyo blinked and said, "But your voices are similar." It felt like listening to a conversation between Nozaki-kun No. 1 and Nozaki-kun No. 2.

98.

The door of the KTV box was gently pushed open, and the waiter leaned halfway in with an apologetic smile on his face. "Sorry to bother you, guests. Is that tandem bicycle downstairs yours? Please move it somewhere else."

The noise in the box seemed to be paused, and everyone looked at each other.

Gojo Satoru, who was using a tablet to order songs, raised his hand high: "My, my! I'll move it right away~"

Panda came up to Shiori and asked, "Did you come here on a tandem bicycle?"

Shiori nodded. In the end, she couldn't resist Gojo Satoru's constant nagging, and finally, she pedaled the wobbly tandem bicycle all the way from the mission site, facing the curious or teasing gazes of passers-by.

"Life is really getting better for us sorcerers." Kugisaki Nobara's fingertips moved quickly across the screen of her mobile phone, studying the new mobile software launched by the Spell Safety Committee.

Zenin Maki leaned over to take a look, "It should have been like this a long time ago."

This software is only for real-name authenticated sorcerers, assistant supervisors and windows. The committee's task assignments and related information are clearly listed. Even low-level free tasks are updated in real time. Sorcerers can accept them at any time without waiting for assignment.

"Hey!" Yuji Itadori suddenly shouted while looking at his phone screen, "A new section has been updated!"

Megumi Fushiguro: "It's a communication forum where you can post anonymously."

Shiori complained, "That slow-paced sorcerer web forum that seems like a relic from the last century, is there finally a replacement?"

"Isn't this Mr. Gojo and Mr. Tadano?" Yuji Itadori pointed at the screen with his eyes wide open.

Panda and Inuma immediately came over, squeezing in beside Itadori Yuji on the left and right:

"show me!"

“Salmon!”

The communication forum had just been launched and there were only a few posts. The most eye-catching title was "I met the strongest person on the way home from get off work."

The original poster: I ran into the strongest on my way home from work! Honestly, the strongest was too conspicuous.

Attached below is a photo of Shiori and Gojo Satoru riding a tandem bicycle, slowly passing through the street, with the sun falling on them.

2L: I have this inexplicable feeling that a simple and ordinary life is the real thing...

27L: Wait, no one complained about them riding tandem bikes in Shinjuku?!

Shiori stared at the photo on the screen, the corners of her mouth twitching. Wasn't it said that life wouldn't have so many viewers?

"What are you laughing at?" Gojo Satoru, who had just moved the car, pushed open the door of the box and saw the students laughing. Shiori was sitting next to them with her hand covering her forehead, looking like she needed to restart her life.

"Wu! A video of you and Shiori riding bikes was posted on the forum!" Panda immediately held the phone in front of him.

Gojo Satoru said proudly, "I am indeed very popular."

99.

Shiori moved to the sofa next to her, creating some distance between herself and the others, and then took out the donuts she had packed when she passed by the dessert shop from the paper bag beside her.

She took a bite, and the soft bread mixed with the rich aroma of cinnamon exploded on her tongue. Shiori narrowed her eyes in satisfaction, muttering through half a mouthful of donut, "The cinnamon flavor is so strong."

Gojo Satoru suddenly came over and took a bite of the other end of the donut.

A warm breath brushed against her cheek, and Shiori froze, her breath skipping a beat. She could clearly see his long eyelashes casting tiny shadows under his eyes, and could even sense the extremely close distance between them, separated by the dessert.

Shiori suddenly came to her senses and stuffed the remaining donut into his mouth: "Teacher, can you please pay attention to social distance!"

Gojo Satoru finished chewing a few mouthfuls and leaned forward again, his nose almost touching her earlobe: "Shiori."

Shiori turned her head away from his breath, raised her hand to press her burning earlobe, and glared at him unhappily: "What are you doing?"

"Don't call me teacher all the time," he said coquettishly, "just call me by my name."

Shiori pursed her lips and asked tentatively, "Gojo Satoru?"

"That's not right," Gojo Satoru pulled down his sunglasses, his eyes fixed on her, "It's Satoru! SA-TO-RU!"
