Chapter 32 Why did she kiss me even though she hates me?
Jiang Xiliu, who was being questioned, hadn't reacted much yet, but Yi Sile, who was next to her, was so shocked that she trembled all over.
Jin Zhao glanced at Yi Sile, who had just been holding his head high and telling him to wait, but now his shoulders slumped and his head was almost touching his chest.
"What pomegranate?" The young lady, still half-asleep, was extremely impatient.
She never remembers trivial matters, and now she's furious, only knowing that Jin Zhao, that ungrateful idiot, has kept her awake!
"You dare to bang on my door now for a worthless pomegranate?" Jiang Xiliu tilted her chin up and approached him, pointing her finger at him rudely. "If I get you a durian another day, will you still dare to beat me up?"
Jin Zhao stared at her self-righteous appearance, and then thought of the mess under the blanket. This time, he was genuinely amused by her.
Jiang Xiliu saw that although he was smiling, his eyes were gloomy, making him look like a lunatic.
She instinctively wanted to take a few steps back.
The next second.
Before Jiang Xiliu could react, Jin Zhao suddenly approached her, bent down, reached out, and swiftly pulled her up from the ground, hoisting her onto his shoulder.
"Ah—" Jiang Xiliu let out a scream.
"Young Miss!" Yisiluo was also startled.
Jin Zhao carried Jiang Xiliu and headed straight for the next room.
Jiang Xiliu twisted and struggled wildly on his shoulder, using both hands and feet, and her threats continued unabated: "Jin Zhao, put me down right now! I think you're really tired of living, daring to lay a hand on me! I'm going to get A Biao to come and beat you to death, and I'll get Liao Zhu to kick you out of my house! I'll make you sleep on the streets..."
Yi Sile was also anxiously pacing around, wanting to reach out and grab Jin Zhao's arm, but afraid of hurting Jiang Xiliu by pulling too hard. So she could only hold onto him, trying to stop him from leaving: "Put the young lady down quickly, Brother Jin Zhao, let's talk this out, don't hit her."
How much strength could a child have? She couldn't stop Jin Zhao at all: "Miss has delicate skin, how can she withstand your hitting? Brother Jin Zhao, if you're angry, hit me instead. I was the one who put the pomegranates, it has nothing to do with Miss..."
When Yi Sile was a child, before Jin Zhao went to university, he was the one who took care of her.
Jin Zhao may seem gentle, but he is actually strict. No matter how loudly she cries when she makes a mistake, Jin Zhao will still beat her without hesitation, so Yi Sile has been afraid of him since she was a child.
Jin Zhao didn't stop walking until he reached his doorstep.
The moment he reached for his keys, Jiang Xiliu grabbed his hair, pulling so hard that the bones on the back of his hand were clearly visible. Judging by her grip, she was sure to pull out at least several clumps of his hair when she let go.
Jin Zhao endured the sharp pain in his scalp, glanced at Yi Sile who was still trying to block him, and said coldly, "Go back."
Just as Yi Sile was about to shake her head in refusal, Jiang Xiliu turned around and said, "Yi Sile, the teacher will be here soon. Go back and wait."
She can't afford to lose face in front of this child any longer!
"I—" Yisiler looked at the young lady, whose head was upside down, with concern, and wanted to say something more.
"It's alright." Although the young lady was a little dizzy from being jostled on Jin Zhao's shoulder, her fingernails had already scratched several bloody marks on Jin Zhao's back. She arrogantly shouted as if riding on Jin Zhao's head, "Little Jin Zhao is no match for me."
"Smack—"
With a crisp and loud sound, Jin Zhao's hand landed firmly and mercilessly on the young lady's buttocks.
All voices fell silent.
Jiang Xiliu stared wide-eyed in disbelief. She froze on Jin Zhao's shoulder, even the hand that was grabbing her hair lost some strength, and the numb and burning pain in her buttocks gradually spread to her brain.
She! Jin Zhao hit her! And he spanked her!
From childhood to adulthood, even when Jiang Xiliu caused huge trouble, drove away Jiang Fuhuai's business partner due to her ignorance, or ruined a nine-figure business deal, she was never beaten!
Jin Zhao's hand was still pressed against her soft, delicate pajama pants, and he could even feel the muscles below her taut in his palm.
His Adam's apple bobbed, he lowered his hand, and clenched his fist at his side.
Yisiluo, who was standing next to her, was so frightened that she covered her mouth to prevent herself from screaming.
Because of her short stature, she could clearly see the young lady's eyes turn red and wide open in an instant.
How dare Brother Jin Zhao...
Jiang Xiliu snapped out of her shock at being hit. She was so angry with Jin Zhao that she was trembling all over. She didn't know where the strength came from, but she grabbed Jin Zhao's hair with one hand and used the other hand to climb up Jin Zhao's neck, her nails digging directly into the flesh of his neck.
"Jin Zhao! You're insane! How dare you hit me? You'll lose that hand! I'm going to chop it off and feed it to the dogs, the cats, and throw it in the trash for the rats to eat!"
Jin Zhao let her pinch and hit him, as if he had lost the sense of pain. He pushed open the door without any change in expression, carried the noisy person into the house, and quickly closed the door behind him, leaving the terrified Yisile outside.
Jin Zhao strode into the room, his neck and arms exposed outside his clothes...
Wherever the young lady could reach, there were red marks left by her scratches, some even oozing blood.
He kicked open his bedroom door, turned the restless young lady on his shoulder around, and steadily carried her in a princess carry.
Before Jiang Xiliu could even scratch his face with her fingernails, she suddenly felt her body continuing to fall.
She subconsciously turned her head to the side. The bluish-green and grayish-white downy fungus on the bed was decaying yet swaying vigorously. Some of the hyphae were intertwined and formed into clumps, while others had dense black spots within their fluffy texture.
"Ah!" Jiang Xiliu was startled and, with a strong will to survive, tightly hugged Jin Zhao's neck, which she had scratched, and raised her legs high with extra strength.
She cried out in a panic, "Jin Zhao, don't put me on your filthy bed—"
Just one glance at the mold, mixed with a damp, foul smell, made her stomach churn. She hadn't eaten much last night, and hadn't eaten much since she woke up this morning. She wanted to vomit but couldn't, and could only swallow dry.
The mold growing evenly on the bed not far from where she was lying was even more disgusting than the foul-smelling black water in the alleyway before.
"I stayed at the hospital for three days, and whenever I had a spare moment, I was busy fixing the data that was lost that day." Jin Zhao's voice was very low, and if you listened carefully, you could hear a hint of fatigue. "If I hadn't turned on the light when I came back today, I probably would have just lay down."
Jin Zhao was bent over, and Jiang Xiliu was still hanging less than half a meter away from the bed. If he let go, she would fall and roll around in that moldy area.
How terrifying!
The young lady dared not move again, much less threaten him with bared teeth and claws. She obediently wrapped her arms around Jin Zhao's neck, and her voice softened: "Okay, Jin Zhao, can you put me down first? Let me stand on the ground, and then we can talk face to face."
Once he put her down, Jiang Xiliu wouldn't talk to him properly; she would simply run away and disappear without a trace.
"What?" Jin Zhao's voice was like a devil's whisper as he looked down at her. "Isn't this your masterpiece? Don't you want to admire the result?"
Jiang Xiliu felt as if she had sunk a little deeper, and the faint smell of mold instantly filled her nostrils.
Jin Zhao seemed to have really been driven crazy by her. Jiang Xiliu was so afraid that he would go insane that she didn't care and dragged her into the bed to roll around together.
His life was cheap, so it didn't matter to him, but it was different for her.
He who knows the times is a hero.
The young lady's eyes immediately reddened, and she sobbed as she buried her face in Jin Zhao's shoulder, saying in a sticky, whiny voice, "Jin Zhao, I didn't do it on purpose. Why did you have to buy me a pomegranate that wasn't sweet? You were mean to me first, and I was so angry that I threw the pomegranate on your bed..."
She paused for a moment, her mind racing, and then came up with a new reason: "And you also bear some responsibility for this. If you had gone home to sleep every night, you would have found the pomegranate in the blankets long ago, and it wouldn't have grown so much mold."
The young lady felt more and more justified in her argument: "So it's not my fault at all, it's all your fault for not coming home at night."
Jin Zhao held her in his arms, slowly straightened up, his arms taut, not looking like someone whose hands would tremble.
In his line of sight, the bed, now transformed into a bacterial culture dish and covered in various types of mold, and the pampered young lady in his arms with slightly red eyes, seemed to exist in two completely unrelated worlds.
After hearing Jiang Xiliu's words, the color in his dark eyes deepened: "Jiang Xiliu, don't you know why I don't come back to sleep?"
Sensing the danger had receded, the young lady immediately raised her chin, as if she had suffered a great injustice: "How would I know about your affairs? You didn't tell me!"
Jin Zhao stared at her expressionlessly, enunciating each word clearly: "Who insisted that I sleep with her?"
I hugged him like a pillow all night, only caring about starting fires but not putting them out, and I wouldn't let him sleep, making him massage my lower abdomen all night.
Jiang Xiliu's voice immediately softened a little: "It's just one night, isn't it?"
"Who came and messed with me, destroying the things I've been working on for days?"
Jiang Xiliu denied it: "You touched something randomly yourself, what does it have to do with me? Don't blame everything on me."
Jin Zhao called out to her sternly, "Jiang Xiliu!"
The young lady's voice was even louder than his: "What are you doing!"
Jiang Xiliu turned her head and accidentally saw the disgusting moldy bed again. She was so frightened that she quickly turned back and shrank into his arms.
She thought for a moment and then said very generously, "Okay, although I won't forgive you for spanking me just now, you've already done it, so you should be over it now, right? You can't keep holding a grudge against me."
Jin Zhao remained silent with a sullen face.
The young lady suddenly raised her face and quickly kissed his chin.
She said crisply, "Don't be angry anymore. If you keep being willful, it'll get annoying."
Jin Zhao was also at a loss with her. He asked, "Don't you hate me? If you hate me, why did you kiss me?"
"Didn't you hate me back then too?" the young lady said indifferently. "But in the end, didn't you still sign a sugar daddy/sugar baby agreement? My reasons were the same as yours."
Taking advantage of Jin Zhao's momentary lapse in attention, the young lady suddenly exerted force and pressed herself against his back.
The moment his feet touched the ground, Jiang Xiliu's expression changed immediately. She slapped him hard on the back and tried to push him onto the bed.
Jin Zhao was prepared. Instead of falling onto the bed, he tried to turn around and reach out to grab her.
Jiang Xiliu ran out as fast as she could, shouting, "Jin Zhao, you're finished! I'll have someone kick you out of here today!"
Jin Zhao took two steps after her, but stopped when he saw that she was so anxious that she almost slipped.

Author's Note: Yi Sile called Assistant Liao: "Assistant Liao, something has happened to the young lady!"
Assistant Liao: "What's wrong, Miss?"
Yisiluo: "She was..." The young lady seemed to not want anyone to know that she had been beaten.
Yi Sile: "...Brother Jin Zhao carried Miss to his house and locked me out, not letting me in."
Liao Zhu was silent for a moment: "Children shouldn't meddle in adult matters."
