Chapter 132: Rats So
An Ran went out in a sloppy manner, wrapped the baby in a baby carrier, and just as she walked downstairs, she saw Yun Tao driving a car and coming in from the gate of the community. An Ran stood on the side of the road, waiting for Yun Tao to stop the car.
Yun Tao was driving a green pickup truck that looked a bit old with many scratches on the body, but it looked of good quality. He was wearing a black security uniform and sitting in the driver's seat. Liu Yuan was sitting in the passenger seat. Liu Yuan was holding Heng Heng and turned her head to greet An Ran with a smile, "You just went out. Brother Tao took us for a walk outside and is back."
The streets outside were empty. Occasionally one or two zombies wandered over, but they were quickly dealt with by Yun Tao. Liu Yuan held Heng Heng in her arms and didn't even get out of the car, so she left quickly and came back quickly.
Yun Tao, who was sitting in the driver's seat, opened the door and got out of the car. He walked around the front of the car and came to An Ran. He just glanced at An Ran, then looked at the baby in the sling with loving eyes. The baby was already asleep, so he didn't disturb the little guy. He reached out and touched the baby's head, then pointed to the truck bed and said to An Ran, "We went out to find some diapers, milk powder and water for the baby. The zombies outside seem to have better hearing these days. Don't go out and wander around with a child. Find me if you need anything. Take good care of the baby."
Although his attitude was overbearing, his concern for the child was genuine. An Ran listened to Yun Tao's instructions and looked at the cart full of diapers, purified water and milk powder behind him. Suddenly, she felt that if she listened to Yun Tao's words from a different perspective, she would not feel so disgusted. It felt like an elder was giving instructions to a younger generation.
She nodded and accepted Yun Tao's instructions. Yun Tao turned around, opened the door of the passenger seat, picked up Heng Heng from the seat, and said with a smile: "Come, Daddy will take you to play."
Liu Yuan got out of the car and watched Yun Tao carrying Heng Heng towards the security room. She pointed to the truck bed behind her and said to An Ran, "Do you want me to help you carry it up?"
"No, I can do it myself."
An Ran shook her head and smiled at Liu Yuan, who nodded and caught up with Yun Tao and Heng Heng. They walked along the tree-lined path in the community, talking and laughing, just like a real family of three.
It seems that Liu Yuan and Yun Tao are trying very hard to pretend that they are a real family.
An Ran, who was standing next to the pickup truck, silently looked at the backs of the two adults and one child. She reached out and touched the baby's head in her arms, lowered her head, and asked, "Let's go out and have a look. We can't always rely on others, right?"
As she was saying this, the green bushes beside An Ran suddenly moved. She seemed to hear someone crying out in pain, so she looked over and saw a very large rat crawling into the bushes. A tail was wagging on its fat butt, and then it went deep into the bushes and disappeared.
Several branches of the bush were bitten off by the big rat.
Such a big rat! An Ran's heart skipped a beat, and she took two steps back in fear.
So disgusting! Rats are even more disgusting than zombies.
So the mouse ran away, and An Ran didn't think of chasing it into the bushes to hit it. She shook her head, shook off the nausea in her heart, and soon forgot about the mouse. It was just a mouse, and it ran away. Did she, a woman, have to chase it into the bushes with a child to find the mouse?
