Chapter 22 Go Down Quickly
"Hurry up!"
An Ran stretched out his hand, took the back of the knife and scratched Chen Jiao's arm. Chen Jiao screamed wildly, grabbed the rope, and shrank her whole body on the rain shelter. Then An Ran climbed onto the windowsill with a knife in her mouth, sat on the windowsill, grabbed the rope with one hand, took the knife from her mouth with the other hand, and stabbed Chen Jiao's head.
She didn't intend to really stab her, she just wanted Chen Jiao to go down so that she wouldn't have to untie the rope for her in the ward.
Chen Jiao had no choice but to hold on to the rope tightly, clumsily climbed down the shelter, and hung herself with both hands to the shelter on the third floor.
An Ran, who was still climbing on the windowsill on the fourth floor, heard the door of the ward being knocked again. She turned around and looked at Bed 17 lying on the bed. Seeing the fear and worry on Hu Zhen's face, An Ran comforted him:
"Don't make a sound. Don't worry. You have enough food to last you for several days. I'll be back as soon as I find help. Don't worry, it won't be long. It will only be an hour or two at most."
If it takes more than an hour or two, she will come back whether rescue comes or not. If there is no rescue, she will save her daughter by herself!
In the bright light, Hu Zhen looked at An Ran and shed two strings of tears. She lay on the bed, unable to move. She could only look at An Ran with pleading eyes and nodded.
That look was engraved in An Ran's heart, making her feel very uncomfortable. The troubled times had arrived, and even though Hu Zhen had the will, he was physically powerless. In fact, she wanted to leave, and Chen Jiao wanted to stay, but now, Chen Jiao was forced to leave, and Hu Zhen stayed.
An Ran's throat choked for some reason. She stopped looking at Hu Zhen, put the fruit knife into the sheath, and directly put it into her clothes bag. She grabbed the rope and jumped off the rain shelter, then went down to the third floor, kicked Chen Jiao who was squatting on the third floor rain shelter crying, and whispered:
"Come on, get down quickly!"
In the darkness, Chen Jiao's face was filled with fear in the light coming through the window. She covered her mouth and pointed inside the window of the ward on the third floor, not daring to cry out loud.
Anran looked back and saw a zombie's face suddenly appearing in the window. It was pale and swollen with blue veins. On its white fangs stood an unknown mass of blood and flesh. No one knew when it had stood in the window.
She was startled, and before she could react, the zombie leaned out of the window, raised his hand, grabbed An Ran's shoulders, and dragged An Ran towards the window.
On the rain shelter, An Ran and Chen Jiao screamed in fear. The screams echoed in the night, attracting the zombies wandering downstairs to gather together. The zombies in the ward also came to the windowsill, but the windowsill was relatively small, and with another zombie there, it was difficult for the other zombie to reach out through the window.
As for An Ran, she struggled and struggled in the zombies' hands, holding on to the rope tightly with one hand to prevent herself from falling off the shelter.
Then An Ran suddenly remembered the fruit knife in her pocket, so she took out the fruit knife with her free hand, drew the knife out of its sheath, and stabbed the zombie's arm that was holding her.
If it were a normal person, he would have retracted his hand after being stabbed like this, but the zombie was different. It felt nothing at all and still leaned forward to drag An Ran into the window. Seeing An Ran being dragged closer and closer by the zombie, the zombie opened its mouth, showing its fangs, and was about to bite An Ran's face.
