Chapter 53 Zombies Can’t Talk
This made An Ran seem a little neurotic, but for a normal person to still be a normal person after experiencing this series of misfortunes and turning everyone in the world into monsters, it would seem that her mental quality is too good.
An Ran knew that what she was doing now was very insane, because although she didn't know what the purpose of surrounding the doll and Chen Jiao's son with potted plants was, doing so made her feel comfortable. She felt that putting the child among a bunch of flowers and plants would be very safe.
After finding a new home for Baby and Chen Jiao's son, An Ran took advantage of the time when the two children fell asleep again to run to the fourth floor to kill zombies. She slowly found her way to the door of Hu Zhen's ward and gently knocked on the door.
There was no sound from inside and An Ran didn't dare knock on the door loudly. Although she had killed some zombies on the corridor on the fourth floor, there were still a few zombies moving behind the nurses' station. She didn't know what was behind the corner of the nurses' station, and it seemed that zombies kept popping up.
An Ran stood close to the door of Hu Zhen's ward and turned the doorknob, but it was locked from the inside.
"Open the door, I'm An Ran in bed 16!"
She shouted softly outside the door, watching the zombies in the distance swimming over after hearing the sound. She held her breath and calculated the time for her escape. If the door could not be opened within five seconds, the first zombie would come to her.
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard the sound of the doorknob being turned from the inside of the ward door, but a female voice interrupted the movement of the door opening.
"Don't open it, there are zombies outside. This must be a trap. Bed 16 has been eaten by zombies long ago!"
The one who said this was Chen Jiao. An Ran put her ear close to the door and raised her eyebrows while listening. She suddenly felt amused. When did Chen Jiao climb back to the fourth floor? According to what Chen Jiao said, did she think that the zombie could still speak, or was it deliberately not opening the door for An Ran? "Zombies can't speak!"
Hu Zhen from inside the door spoke and was about to turn the doorknob. Chen Jiao seemed to try to stop him, and the two people inside the door started arguing.
An Ran turned around abruptly, killed the zombie behind him with a pair of scissors, and raised his hand as if to risk everything, knocking hard on the door, shouting:
"Chen Jiao, open the door for me. Do you still want your son? I have found your son. If you don't open the door for me, I will throw your son to the zombies to eat!"
There was silence inside the door for a moment. Chen Jiao didn't say anything, but several zombies near the door were led over by An Ran. She hurriedly ran a long distance away, quietly watching the nearby zombies rushing towards the door of the ward. An Ran stabbed a zombie to death, then quietly followed behind another zombie and started the assassination.
"An Ran, where is my son? Have you found my son?"
There seemed to be a fight going on inside the door. There was a series of rustling sounds. Amidst this series of sounds that attracted the zombies, it was Hu Zhen who shouted at the top of his voice inside the door. An Ran was behind the door blocked by zombies, happily killing zombies, and ignored Hu Zhen.
Inside the ward, Hu Zhen, who was able to stand up and walk now, was arguing with Chen Jiao. The wound on her abdomen was obviously still very painful for her, so facing Chen Jiao's obstruction, Hu Zhen seemed a little overwhelmed.
"An Ran, who is in bed 16, is a very cunning person. Do you know if she wants to trick us into opening the door for her? And then eat up all our food? Don't forget, she even forced me to jump off the building with a knife!" Chen Jiao's voice came from inside the door.
