Chapter 009 Hatori Yui
Without Shirabu Kenjiro to lead the way, Higashino Higashi had to go to the club activity room alone. But he didn't know the exact location and almost got lost on campus.
Fortunately, he saw the recruitment notice for the Criminal Psychology Research Society on the bulletin board when he passed by. It listed the address of the activity room: Room 404, Third Teaching Building. He studied the school floor plan again and finally found the right direction.
I finally found the activity room and opened the door, but there was no one inside.
Dong Yexi breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he didn't have to deal with the club members right away; he didn't know any of them.
He saw various documents and a stack of application forms for joining the company on a desk by the window in the last row, and thought: This should be the president's seat.
He sat on the chair, rummaged through the drawers, and found the file sheets of all the members.
In order to simulate the police investigation process, their club made a file of all members' information, which not only included information such as positions and departments, but also photos.
This was convenient for Dong Yexi. He happened to have the skill of "Photographic Memory", so after quickly flipping through the book, he remembered everyone.
Moreover, his three "good friends" were not in this club, and he felt relieved instantly.
He still doesn't know who wanted to poison him!
The best thing to do is stay away from them!
With a happy mood, Higashino Hiroshi began to process the application for joining the club.

The volleyball team's practice was over, and Hatori Yui was packing up. His teammate Sakusaya Shinta said as he took off his clothes, "Want to go have a barbecue together later?"
Hatori Yui shook his head and refused.
Sakuhaya Shinta said, unsurprisingly, "Hey, I knew you wouldn't agree. You don't drink carbonated drinks or eat junk food. Are you entering retirement mode early? Or are you holding yourself to the standards of a professional player now?"
Hatori Yui said calmly, "I don't have any intention of becoming a professional. It's just a habit I've developed over the years."
"In that case, I suggest you give it a try. If your seniors invite you for drinks in the future, you can't refuse, right?" Sakuhayano Nobuta leaned in close to him and whispered, "Sports events are very strict with superiors. If you don't go, they'll think you're being disrespectful. What if they try to make things difficult for you in the future?"
Hatori Yui looked at him and said nonchalantly, "If they go too far, I'll just quit the team."
Sakuhaya Shinta's face changed. "What are you talking about! You're such a good fighter, but if you quit, it will be a loss for the team! The coach won't agree!"
Hatori Yuiichi smiled faintly. "You know it very well, don't you? If that's the case, there's no need for me to flatter them."
Sakuhashi Shinta smacked his lips and exclaimed, "This is what we call speaking with strength!"
Hatori Yui packed up his things, picked up his bag and said, "I'll be leaving now." He pushed Sakuhaya Shinta's chest and said, "Hurry up and put on your clothes. Who are you exposing yourself to?"
Sakuhaya Shinta made a few poses to show off his muscles and said narcissistically: "I have such beautiful muscles, I must show them off!"
Hatori Yui felt like she was going blind. "I suggest you find your audience and stop showing off here."
"By the way." Sakusaya Shinta remembered something when he heard this, and asked, "Have you applied to join the Crime Club?"
"It's the Criminal Psychology Research Club," Hatori Yui corrected.
Sakuhaya Shinta waved his hand: "Oh, they're all about the same."
Hatori Yuiichi: "That's a huge difference! The meaning has changed."
"That's not the point." Sakuhaya Shinta said seriously, "I advise you not to join."
Hatori Yuiichi asked in confusion, "Why?"
"I knew you, a gossip-shy person, wouldn't know about that," Sakuhaya Shinta said. "A few days ago, news came out from the medical school that their campus idol is gay. That guy is the president of the Crime Club!"
"You believe this rumor?" Hatori Yui glanced at him sideways.
"This isn't a rumor!" Sakuhayano Shinta said seriously, "His friend said it in front of the goddess of the literature department. There was a crowd of people around at the time, and everyone heard it. Later, someone confirmed it with someone who had a crush on him, and it was confirmed that the president of the crime club is gay!"
Shinta Sakuhaya said he never eats fake melons!
Hatori Yui didn't bother to correct him and asked, "What does that have to do with me?"
Sakuhaya Shinta immediately said, "How can it have nothing to do with you? Look at you!" He said a little sourly, "You are tall, handsome, and have a good figure. You are the most popular girl in that circle!"
Hatori Yui looked at him amusedly: "You seem to know a lot about this, huh?"
Sakusaya Shinta looked slightly embarrassed. He had a fujoshi sister who kept whispering these things in his ear, so how could he not be familiar with her?
He coughed lightly and said, "Anyway, that president likes men. What if he takes a fancy to you and makes a move on you? You'd better not join."
Hatori Yui shook his head and said, "Don't worry about it. With my physique, I won't suffer any loss." After that, he turned and left the locker room.
Sakuhaya Shinta thought about it and felt that what he said made sense. Hatori Yui could knock down those weaklings in the medical school with just one punch!
Training ended early today, and seeing that he still had time, Hatori Yui took a detour to the Criminal Psychology Research Club. He wanted to see if his application to join the club had been approved.
When he reached the door, he saw that the door of the activity room was ajar, so he raised his hand and knocked lightly three times with his knuckles.
"Come in." A gentle male voice came from inside the door.
Hatori Yui pushed open the door, and his eyes immediately focused on the people sitting at the innermost table.
The black-haired young man lowered his head slightly, looking at the documents on the table seriously. The rays of light from the window shone on his face, making him look as beautiful as a painting.
She's quite pretty, Hatori Yuiichi thought.
At this moment, the young man looked up at the door and asked, "Hello, what can I do for you?"
Hatori Yuiichi walked in, stood in front of the table, and said, "Hello, my name is Hatori Yuiichi. I applied to join the club a while ago, and I wanted to know if I was accepted."
Higashino remembered that he had just looked at his application form and asked as he searched for it, "Is that Hatori Yui from the Law Department?"
"Yes."
Dong Yexi quickly flipped to his application form, looked up at him and said, "You've passed the preliminary review, and the next step is the interview."
Hatori Yuiichi asked, "Can I ask who is in charge of the interview?"
Dong Yexi: "If nothing unexpected happens, it should be me."
"Can we meet now?"
Dong Yexi was stunned; "Huh?"
Hatori Yuiichi explained, "I'm also on the school volleyball team, so I'm training a lot, so I might not be able to come for the interview later."
"Is that so..." Dong Yexi thought for a while and agreed. After all, the club interview was just a formality.
He stood up and was about to move a stool for Hatori Yui, but was stopped.
"I can do it." Hatori Yui easily picked up another solid wooden chair and placed it opposite his desk.
Dong Yexi stared at his arms and thought: He is a volleyball player as expected, his arms are so strong!
The two sat facing each other, and the atmosphere suddenly became a little subtle.
Higashino Xi: Uh...what exactly are the interview questions?
Seeing that he hadn't spoken, Hatori Yuiichi looked at him with some confusion.
Dong Yexi coughed lightly and said, "Don't be nervous, I'll just ask a few simple questions."
Hatori Yui smiled and said, "I'm not nervous." But you look very nervous.
Higashino Xi organized his words and said, "Your basic information is already on the application form, so I won't ask any more. Can you tell me why you want to join our research club?"
Hatori Yui put away his smile and said seriously, "I'm studying law and want to be a criminal lawyer after graduation, so I'm bound to interact with criminals. Studying criminal psychology will help me understand the reasons why criminals commit crimes, and I'll be able to make more accurate judgments when analyzing cases and sentencing. I also heard that the club's database contains analysis reports and final sentencing results of major cases from the past fifty years, which club members can borrow. This is one of the reasons why I applied to join the club."
Higashino was surprised by his seriousness. He had thought that university clubs were just for fun, but he had never expected that the reason for this junior to join was related to his future career plans.
This made Dong Yexi, who didn't know the location of the club before today, feel a little embarrassed.
Since others have already made plans, how can he, as a senior, be a stumbling block?
So, Dong Yexi nodded directly and let him pass the interview.
Hatori Yui blinked and asked, "Is that a pass?"
Higashino: "Yeah. Our club doesn't have so many twists and turns. Since you're sincere about joining and are so interested in criminal psychology, there's no reason for me to reject you."
He took out a stamp and pressed it on Hatori's unique application form, and the bright red word "passed" appeared on the paper.
"Are you relieved now?" Dong Yexi looked at him and said, "Once I submit it to the student union for record, you'll be a member of our club!"
Hatori Yuiichi smiled slightly and said, "Thank you, President."
Dong Yexi felt that this address was strange and said, "Change it. You can call me by my name or call me senior."
Hatori Yui scratched his face awkwardly and said, "But I don't know the senior's name yet..."
Dong Yexi was embarrassed: "My bad, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Dong Yexi, you can call me whatever you want, just don't call me President."
"Okay, Higashino-senpai!"
Dong Yexi took out his phone and said, "Let's exchange contact information. If you can't come to training one day, you can just ask for leave from me!"
Hatori Yui laughed when he heard that, and the two exchanged phone numbers and added each other as friends.
In just a short while, the sunlight outside dimmed a lot.
Dong Yexi looked at the remaining application forms and decided to leave them for tomorrow.
He locked all his things in the cabinet, closed the door of the activity room, and walked out of the teaching building with Hatori Yui.
The two walked together all the way until they parted at the school gate.
What they didn’t know was that just by walking together for a while, their photos spread all over the campus forum.
Title: [Image Gallery] News! The Medical School Dean and the Law School's new Dean are together!
Original Poster: As the title says. Side/back view of two people walking together.jpg*9
1L: Sofa~
2L: Holy crap!!!
3L: The clickbait title has been identified.
4L: How is this clickbait? The medical school's top student just came out a while ago, and now he's hanging out with another new top student. That's really problematic!
5L: Is walking together a problem? I also saw him entering the school gate with another senior from the medical school. Are they related too?
6L: The point is that these two people shouldn’t have any intersection!
7L: The two of them are so far apart, it’s obvious that they are not a couple, stop spreading rumors.
8L: Frog fun! The size difference in these photos is so obvious! Putting myself in the shoes of the gentle and refined senior and the athletically inclined junior, I suddenly feel a bit cheesy!
9L: Eating everything will only help me achieve a balanced diet.
10L: If nothing else, their looks are a good match. Can anyone clarify this? If not, I'm starting to ship it!
…
Since the school forum allows anonymous comments, everyone is very free to express themselves. After a night of fermentation, the couple's CP building has been built.
Saku Hayanobu likes to read gossip posts. The first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning is to open the forum, and then he sees a bunch of posts about his teammates.
Sakuhaya Shinta: Pfft! What the hell!? How come Hatori's innocence is already at risk after just one night?!
He quickly clicked on Hatori's unique contact information and sent the post to him.
Hatori Yuiichi replied, telling him not to worry about it.
Sakuhaya Shinta just thought it was outrageous.
Buddy, rumors have been spread about you, why don’t you clarify them in time?
He hesitated for a while and suddenly thought of a question.
Yesterday, Hatori said, "He won't suffer any loss," right? Does this implicitly mean, "If there's any loss, it's going to be on the other side"?
Then... this... he didn't say he didn't like men...
Sakusaya Shinta frowned and fell into deep thought, he began to doubt his teammate's sexual orientation.
