Chapter 63 Chapter 63 Hate Whom I Like

Chapter 63 Chapter 63 Hate Whom I Like

After they carried him downstairs, Pei Shuyu suddenly patted Lu Hean's shoulder and mumbled something incomprehensible.

Lu Hean guessed that he probably wanted to go down by himself.

"Are you okay with this? We're almost home. Let me carry you up." Lu Hean weighed it and continued walking, with no intention of letting go.

Pei Shuyu struggled for a few times, but found that he couldn't jump down, so he fell asleep on Lu Hean's shoulder again.

After climbing up the stairs, Lu Hean carefully put Pei Shuyu down and put one hand on his waist. "I'll open the door. You stand here for a while."

Pei Shuyu seemed a little ticklish and shrank when his waist was touched. Lu Hean opened the door with great difficulty, half hugged and half dragged Pei Shuyu in, and put him on the bed.

Seeing Pei Shuyu sleeping soundly, Lu Hean simply lay down on the bed, looking up at the ceiling, and resting for a while. Pei Shuyu was sleeping next to him, breathing steadily. Lu Hean turned his head to look at Pei Shuyu's peaceful sleeping face beside him.

The usually cold and hard lines became softened by the effects of alcohol and sleep, the long eyelashes drooped, and the lips appeared redder than usual due to drunkenness.

As if possessed by some strange force, Lu Hean pulled himself up, slowly lowered his head, and placed a gentle kiss on Pei Shuyu's slightly heated cheek. It felt soft and warm, tinged with the scent of alcohol. Lu Hean's heart inexplicably quickened. He immediately lay back down, clutching his chest. Then he laughed a little at his own behavior.

After calming my heartbeat, I rested for a while before getting up and trying to get something to sober me up.

Opening Pei Shuyu's refrigerator, there were only a few boxes of frozen food that looked not very fresh, instant noodles and a few bottles of mineral water.

I looked at it carefully and it seems to have expired.

Lu Hean frowned as he packed all these things up, closed the refrigerator door, took out the terminal and quickly placed an order for some fresh ingredients and hangover soup, having them delivered as soon as possible.

After waiting for about ten minutes, someone knocked on the door. Lu Hean went to open the door and took over two large bags of things. He also handed over the pile he had sorted out and asked them to deal with it.

He sorted the food and stuffed it into Pei Shuyu's refrigerator. Then he took out an unopened jar of honey from the bag and mixed it with warm water to make a cup of honey water. Returning to the bed, he gently helped Pei Shuyu up and put the rim of the cup to his lips.

"Pei Shuyu, drink some honey water, you will feel better."

Pei Shuyu drowsily took small sips of the cup from his hand. The warm water seemed to sober him up a little. He raised his eyes and looked at Lu Hean, who was standing nearby, with a somewhat distracted gaze. There was a rare innocence and inquiry in his eyes. He just stared at him without saying a word.

Lu Hean found his gaze somewhat amusing. He took the cup and placed it on the bedside table. His fingertips gently brushed the water stains on the corners of his lips, and his voice softened unconsciously: "What? Don't you recognize me again?"

Pei Shuyu blinked, as if trying to identify him. After a while, he hesitated and said slowly: "Lu Hean..."

"Yes, it's me." Lu Hean's heart softened, and he sat down on the bed and handed over the remaining half cup of honey water. "Would you like some more?"

Pei Shuyu was obedient and lowered his head to drink a few more sips.

The room was very quiet, and the only sound was Pei Shuyu taking sips of water.

Lu Hean looked down and felt that it was almost time. He coughed twice, raised two fingers, and began to ask: "Pei Shuyu, what is this?"

Pei Shuyu stared at him for a few seconds as if he was an idiot, but still answered cooperatively, "2."

"Who do you hate?"

"Lu Hean."

“…”

Lu Hean forced a smile and continued asking.

"Who do you like?"

"Lu Hean."

A very unexpected answer.

Looking at his rare docile appearance, Lu Hean finally couldn't help but let out the question that had been suppressed in his heart for a long time. He lowered his voice and asked tentatively: "If you like Lu Hean, why did you break up with him in the first place?"

Pei Shuyu paused holding the cup, said nothing, and just lowered his head, his expression unclear.

Lu Hean continued to speak to himself, his tone hinting at an eagerness to explain: "Is it because of his marriage to the Qiao family? That has been dissolved, really, and it will never happen again."

Pei Shuyu shook his head, slightly but with certainty.

Isn't it because of this?

Lu Hean became even more confused. He moved closer and asked in a coaxing tone, "Why is that? Can you tell me?"

Pei Shuyu finally raised his head. The alcohol made his eyes wet, but they also revealed an unusual clarity and coolness. He stared at Lu Hean for a few seconds, then spoke clearly and enunciatedly: "Because he is sick."

The smile on Lu Hean's face froze instantly.

???

Are you using the excuse of being drunk to...scold him?!

Lu Hean was stunned by these five words, feeling both angry and amused. He looked at Pei Shuyu's drunken yet self-righteous appearance and didn't know how to refute him for a moment.

He tried to get more questions out of him, but Pei Shuyu seemed to have exhausted all his strength, or perhaps the alcohol had completely taken over. He closed his eyes, tilted his head and was about to fall asleep again. No matter how much Lu Hean asked, he just hummed vaguely twice and made no response.

Lu Hean had no choice but to help him take off his coat and shoes, and then he struggled to stuff him into the quilt and cover him up.

After doing all this, he looked at the defenseless person sleeping on the bed, then looked at the narrow sofa, turned around decisively, brought in the blanket he brought, and lay down directly next to Pei Shuyu.

He turned sideways, and looked at Pei Shuyu's peaceful sleeping face in the faint moonlight coming in from the window, feeling mixed emotions.

Sick? Not really...

Yu Jingheng had said before that he had pheromone disorder, but as far as he could remember, he had never suffered from this disease. Was Pei Shuyu worried about this?

Care about him?

Oh, that's possible.

He imagined it in his mind and then gradually fell into sleep.

The next morning, sunlight streamed into the room through the gaps in the curtains.

Pei Shuyu was awakened by a headache. He frowned and opened his eyes, his consciousness still not fully restored. The first thing he saw was his ceiling, and then... the extra figure wrapped in a blanket beside him.

He stared at the figure for three full seconds before his brain managed to reboot successfully and recognized it as Lu Hean.

The next second, Pei Shuyu raised his foot and kicked the man almost reflexively!

"Ugh!" Lu Hean was sound asleep when he was caught off guard by a kick in the side. He groaned in pain and rolled to the ground. He sat up awkwardly, rubbing his waist, and looked at Pei Shuyu, whose face was ashen, lying on the bed with sleepy eyes and grievance. "Why did you kick me? And in the waist?!"

Pei Shuyu sat up, pressing his aching temple, his voice hoarse and cold: "Why are you still in my house? Didn't I tell you to pack up and get out?"

Lu Hean rubbed the painful spot and complained with a grin, "You tormented me all night last night, and you treat me like this? Pei Shuyu, you have to be responsible for me."

"Responsible?" Pei Shuyu sneered, "What if I don't?"

"Are you going to be a scumbag?" Lu Hean's eyes widened, an expression of disbelief and hurt. "You're going to take advantage of everything and then deny it?"

"It's the same excuse again," Pei Shuyu said, his irritation clearly hidden in his eyes. "Lu Hean, do you think I'm stupid?"

"What do you mean by again?" Lu Hean looked innocent and confused. "This is the first time I've said that."

Pei Shuyu was too lazy to continue this childish conversation. The headache and inexplicable irritability made him just want some peace and quiet. He threw back the quilt and got out of bed, ignoring Lu Hean who was still sitting on the floor, and went straight to the bathroom.

Lu Hean looked at his indifferent back, then suddenly stood up, leaned against the bathroom door frame, and slowly spoke to Pei Shuyu, who was squeezing toothpaste inside: "Hey, I still prefer Captain Pei after drinking. He's a good boy and talks a lot."

Pei Shuyu paused in squeezing the toothpaste, his body stiffening imperceptibly. He stared at Lu Hean outside the door through the mirror, his tone slightly tense, "What did I say?"

Lu Hean caught his subtle reaction and deliberately dragged out his tone, saying in a serious tone: "You said I was very good-looking and wanted me to be your boyfriend."

In the mirror, Pei Shuyu's face instantly darkened. He put down the toothpaste, turned around, and looked at Lu Hean, who was leaning against the door frame and smiling like a fox. He squeezed out a cold sneer from between his teeth: "Ha."

Keep editing.

Drama queen.

Lu Hean was amused by his reaction and was about to add some exaggeration when Pei Shuyu slammed the bathroom door with an expressionless face.

Fortunately, Lu Hean withdrew his hand quickly, otherwise his hand would have been pinched.

While Pei Shuyu was washing up, he ran to the kitchen to make breakfast.

The ingredients sent over last night came in handy.

When Pei Shuyu came out, he saw Lu Hean fiddling with something in the kitchen, making a lot of banging noises. He walked over to see what he was up to, but halfway through, he heard Lu Hean muttering, "What can I eat in the morning to relieve a hangover headache... millet porridge... milk..."

"What are you doing?" Pei Shuyu interrupted him.

"Isn't it obvious? Cooking." Lu Hean turned around and compared himself with the spatula, "But you have such unique taste." He was wearing the cartoon apron that Pei Shuyu had bought during the supermarket sale. It didn't matter if Pei Shuyu wore it alone at home, but now it looked very funny on Lu Hean.

Pei Shuyu stared at it for two seconds and felt that one really shouldn't be greedy.

"You don't have to do it. There are instant noodles and other food in the refrigerator." Pei Shuyu rubbed his neck and walked towards the refrigerator.

I was stunned when I opened it.

"What's all this? Where's my instant noodles?!" Pei Shuyu asked with genuine emotion, his voice cracking a little at the end. It was like a TV drama where a master's concubine had died.

Lu Hean's voice came from the kitchen: "It's expired. I've dealt with all of it."

Pei Shuyu: ...

Expired...it seems like this instant noodles were wholesaled several months ago...

Pei Shuyu looked at the other ingredients that he couldn't name and closed the refrigerator door with reluctance.

Breakfast took place in an eerie silence.

Pei Shuyu buried his head in his food, deliberately avoiding the overly focused gaze from the opposite side. But Lu Hean's eyes seemed to be glued to him.

Finally, Pei Shuyu put down his spoon, leaving a little porridge at the bottom of his bowl. He wiped his mouth with a tissue and stood up. "I'm done. You can leave after you finish."

Lu Hean also put down his chopsticks, slowly wiped the corner of his mouth, looked up at him, and a vague smile appeared on the corner of his lips: "Are you kicking me out now? Throwing it away after use, Captain Pei, this is not a good habit of yours."

"It's just a bowl of porridge from you." Pei Shuyu frowned.

"More than that..." Lu Hean stood up and walked closer step by step. He walked around the dining table and stopped in front of him. He leaned over slightly, and the distance between them instantly closed. "You even let me be your human pillow for the whole night last night."

"If you keep talking nonsense, get out now."

"Captain Pei knows whether he is talking nonsense or not." Lu Hean chuckled, his eyes deepened.

Then he quietly stood up and cleaned up the dishes for both of them, and walked leisurely towards the kitchen. The sound of running water could be heard, and Lu Hean hummed a tuneless song, acting like the man of the house.

Pei Shuyu had no other choice but to talk to a scoundrel.

"I can only bear it until you're reinstated." Pei Shuyu picked up his coat from the bed and prepared to go out. The new employee training that was mentioned last time seemed to be a few days ago, and he still hadn't looked at the watch Xiao Qingyang gave him.

Hearing the sound of changing shoes, Lu Hean poked his head out of the kitchen, "Are you going to work? I want to go too."
