Chapter 118 Confiscation Operation
A brutal storm of confiscating video game consoles swept through Hogwarts, leaving wailing and barren land wherever it passed.
The professors used the Flying Spell in the classroom at lightning speed and seized a large number of illegal items on the spot. The scores of the four colleges rushed towards zero, all turned into single digits, and even the four Night Thestrals could not pull them back.
Professor Sprout took the lead in forming a special operations team, and together with Professor Snape, they interviewed the students one by one according to the notes submitted by the students. The two used both kindness and force to successfully break through the psychological defenses of many students and finally dug out the source of the game console sales -
It was their good student Yu Jian!
So the criminal Jian Yu was caught on the spot.
And faced a five-party joint trial.
There were several large sacks of stolen goods in the principal's office. The evidence was solid and all that was left was for the suspect to confess his guilt.
The four head deans and Dumbledore frowned deeply.
Snape was the first to attack, his black eyes burning with anger, and he looked like he was going to put the sack on Jane's head:
"What a marvelous work, Miss Jane?"
"He led most of the school's students to play games, and taught them to pretend to be sick, skip classes, and not do homework... and neglect their studies..."
"What you did is enough to get all your points deducted from Slytherin!"
The other professors looked at him with disapproval. Everyone knew that although his words were harsh, they also reflected his bias.
Because Slytherin's scores are already in single digits.
Dumbledore pressed his temple and coughed twice:
"Ahem, Severus, why don't you let me ask her first."
His blue eyes looked at Jian Yu through the lenses, as if he was thinking about how to start:
"Do you know the consequences of doing this, Yu?"
Jian Yu nodded repeatedly. She was overjoyed in her heart, but she still had to pretend to be calm on her face.
"I know. After all, it caused such an impact—"
"You can fire me, and I accept the punishment."
Dumbledore's heart tightened.
The word "dismissal" undoubtedly triggered the sensitive words in his heart.
It instantly reminded him of Lockhart's curse!
Look at this kid, he has taken the initiative to ask to drop out of school!
If you agree to it——
Wouldn't her next step be to leave the UK and wander around?
Impossible, absolutely impossible, not possible in this lifetime!
The curse will never come true!
Professor McGonagall hissed disapprovingly, her eyes revealing nervousness, fearing that Dumbledore would agree to this.
She didn't think this was entirely Jian Yu's fault, and quickly said:
"Albus, this item is not on the list of prohibited items listed at the beginning of the term. I think there needs to be a basis for punishing students."
"Besides, this is more of a question of the students' willpower. We can't put all the blame on one person."
Before Dumbledore could speak, Professor Sprout hurriedly followed suit. She didn't want to lose such a talented student:
"Oh, Albus, I think Minerva is right!"
"Students should learn to resist temptation and we should guide them instead of simply expelling a child."
Dumbledore smiled bitterly. He felt that he was being blamed for expelling a good student for no reason. He argued:
"Don't worry, Minerva, Pomona. I think we need to discuss her punishment further."
The two professors looked at their great headmaster with reproachful eyes. Professor McGonagall continued to speak for Jian Yu:
"Albus, I don't think this is right—"
She was interrupted by an exclamation from Professor Flitwick.
"Perfect magical channel, what beautiful image spells and voice transmission spells... "Wizards Duel", oh my goodness!"
Everyone looked at him, only to see Professor Flitwick holding a game console, his head almost touching the screen, and pressing buttons with both hands.
"Filius, you—?"
Professor McGonagall's call finally brought the Ravenclaw Headmaster back to his senses.
Professor Flitwick glanced at them awkwardly and then looked away. For some reason he suddenly had the urge to hide the game console behind his back and tuck it into his robes.
He smiled shyly and touched his smooth forehead:
"Oh my, this magic item that Yu helped design is a perfect combination of alchemy and spells!"
"I have experienced the beauty of it, and now I feel better and my magic power is full!"
He waved his hands happily, as if he wanted to fly into the sky with his short arms.
Seeing that the last dean had also betrayed his camp, Dumbledore and Jian Yu were full of question marks.
He was both surprised and happy. He was surprised that Jane Yu had such a great influence among the professors, and they were all speaking for her; he was happy that at such a young age, she could work with the Flamel couple to transform such exquisite magic props, and she was worthy of being the child raised by Albus.
The other one was both shocked and angry. He was shocked that Professor Flitwick, the head of Ravenclaw, almost became addicted to this; he was angry that the game consoles he sold clearly caused students from four colleges to pretend to be sick and skip classes, but their head of house still spoke for her!
Jane Yu looked at Dumbledore with pleading eyes, hoping that he could give her the final judgment so that she could be reunited with Aberforth or the Newts as soon as possible.
Little did he know that Dumbledore had already deleted the option of expulsion from the selection list.
"I don't think we have any reason to expel her." His white beard trembled slightly, and he said lightly, "Indeed, we did not ban this item when the school started."
The four deans breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.
Dumbledore stood up with a smile on his face, the stars and the moon twinkling on his robes.
"But I think we're going to add this item to the list of prohibited items starting today."
Jian Yu completely put on the mask of pain!
Why can such a big plan fail?
Why did the professors let her go?
A groundhog scream came out of her mind!
After thinking about it, she always felt like something was wrong.
It seems that these professors have some strange filters for her?
She could even seek leniency for students pretending to be sick to skip classes, or hanging out in groups at night.
Is there any justice in this world, any law in this world?
The professors lightly brushed aside the matter and instead began to discuss punishment plans for the many students who skipped classes. The atmosphere in the principal's office became relaxed and cheerful again.
"In the future, when assigning essays, you should specify the number of words instead of inches to prevent students from deliberately increasing the length," Professor McGonagall suggested.
This was immediately echoed by the other three professors, who had suffered greatly from this in the past few weeks.
"There is also a sick leave system. In addition to the student's handwritten note, you must get a note approved by Madam Pomfrey."
Dumbledore agreed to the proposal on the spot.
"I'm going to make them make up all the homework from the past few weeks!" Professor Flitwick got angry at the thought and stood up on his chair.
Professor Snape agreed, adding:
"Since they have so much time to play, maybe we should give these 'weak' students some extra homework, what do you think?"
Normally, the gentle professors would not agree to this proposal, but now they were filled with righteous indignation and said they would make them suffer.
Professor Sprout gave a "kind" smile and said that he would prepare a greenhouse for the students to soak the bean pods. If a bean bloomed while being peeled, he would add an extra one to teach them a lesson.
Hearing this, Jian Yu couldn't help but worry for the warriors.
But apparently the professors will not forget her as the culprit.
If you can escape the death penalty, you can't escape the living punishment - if you can't be expelled, you will definitely be imprisoned.
"You have earned a term's detention for your own monstrous behavior, Miss Jane."
Snape's 37℃ mouth uttered cold words.
But he seemed to be in a very good mood, and even the wrinkles between his eyebrows had smoothed out.
Everyone knew that he was happy that he had finally found a reason to put Jian Yu in solitary confinement.
After all, solitary confinement = special training = training excellent apprentices = the inheritance of life's work.
This caused the deans to look at him with envy and jealousy.
This put Snape in an even better mood.
