Chapter 311: Man Conquers Nature

Chapter 311: Man Conquers Nature

Dumbledore's calm eyes finally stirred:

"You're growing at an alarming rate, Harry."

He sighed, then motioned for Harry to take the glass ball from the shelf:

"Only the person mentioned in the prophecy can take it down from there, because fate is in one's own hands."

The small, fluorescent glass ball was held up by Harry's hands, and Jane Yu saw a look of relief on his face.

"It's not as heavy as I thought... I thought it was as heavy as a stone, but it's like a feather..." He murmured, "Is it my imagination?"

"I don't think so." Dumbledore carefully observed the expression on his face. "You think it is light because your state of mind has changed."

Dumbledore took the prophecy ball, and his face looked particularly relaxed:

"When you said 'I don't need to hear the prophecy', it means I can tell you the full content of this prophecy."

Jian Yu and Harry both let out a puzzled "ah".

Dumbledore did not respond. He moved his hand and the prophecy shattered.

The cracked glass made a very crisp sound, and some glass shards fell to the ground.

A huge milky white figure rose into the air, and began to speak in a hoarse and ethereal voice:

"The one who has the power to defeat the Dark Lord... born in the Three Resistances... born at the end of July... he possesses... power... one must die at the hands of the other..."

The air fell into dead silence again.

Jian Yu was not surprised by the content of this prophecy.

This is the ending of the entire Harry Potter story, but unfortunately, it does not tell the story in the process.

She was somewhat surprised by Harry's attitude towards the prophecy after his mood had gone through such a drastic change -

He seemed to accept everything calmly, and even had a somewhat relaxed look.

"Why do I know the prophecy now?" he asked Dumbledore. "You didn't seem to want to -"

Dumbledore's tone became more relaxed, like a wrinkled shirt that had finally been ironed:

"The reason is simple, Harry, because you no longer regard the prophecy as a command to strangle your life."

"If you had never heard of the prophecy, you would still want to get rid of Voldemort, and you would still want to do it."

"Indeed." Harry's voice sounded more determined. "I want to do it."

Dumbledore's laughter echoed in the Prophecy Hall, and Jian Yu found that she had never seen him laugh so happily.

"Your destiny is in your own hands."

Dumbledore repeated this sentence again, but he no longer looked at Harry, but looked meaningfully into Jane's eyes:

“Being forced into the vortex of fate by prophecy is different from walking into it on your own initiative.”

"This is why I brought you two here. I hope you can break free from your shackles and gain some new insights."

Jian Yu looked back at his eyes in a daze, black against blue, and the night was filled with shining stars.

Trelawney's deep voice seemed to ring in her ears again... It was the prophecy of fate that only she knew...

She brought death, betrayal, and pain to others... She seemed to be the source of disaster... She pushed the situation that should have been won into a dead end...

Unable to tell, she alone kept the secret of the future of the final, tragic Battle of Hogwarts...

That was what she wanted to avoid...it was the shackles that held her hostage...but she never got what she wanted, and fate was forcing her to go there.

She felt as if she was being sucked into Dumbledore's magical blue eyes, and a voice in her subconscious seemed to be asking:

If the final result is a life-and-death fight, what is the difference between being forced into the fight and walking into it on your own?

It seemed that Dumbledore understood, and Harry understood too - there was a whole difference.

"I understand what you mean." Harry did not notice the abnormality between her and Dumbledore. There was a kind of pride on his face. "Even if I am the one who dies between us in the end, at least I am not waiting to be killed by him. I will definitely fight him like my parents did."

The mature look of the young man when he said this was just like Sima Qian when he said, "Everyone has to die, some's death is heavier than Mount Tai, some's death is lighter than a feather."

Jian Yu laughed for no apparent reason at the thought that suddenly popped into his mind.

But at the same time, she felt as if something in her mind that had been restraining her suddenly loosened.

Perhaps the final fate was inevitable, but she thought she had to do something...at least she had to enter the arena standing.

......

On the way back, Dumbledore took them through the Hall of the Dead again.

The stone archway was still there, and the tattered curtains were still fluttering there.

Jian Yu raised his head and glanced at the curtain, only to find that the feeling of rejection seemed to have weakened a little.

"You're here." Dumbledore suddenly laughed helplessly and raised his hands in surrender. "Sorry, it took too long, Amelia."

Jian Yu looked forward and found Minister Bones, who was looking for them, standing at the door.

"I'm really worried that something might happen to you. You've spent much more time than you agreed with me." Bones' stern face softened and he joked, "Could it be that you have an occupational disease and treat the Department of Mysteries as your Hogwarts, a place to educate students?"

Dumbledore choked strangely, and then he smiled a perfect and kind smile:

"Oh, Amelia, you know that educational opportunities are everywhere, and extracurricular expansion is also a good choice."

With a little embarrassment, he hurriedly avoided the topic and said:

"The prophecy has been destroyed. This news does not need to be kept secret. I originally wanted to keep it here as a bait to lure Voldemort into his trap - but since we are short of manpower, the priority is to ensure the safe operation of the Ministry of Magic."

Minister Bones nodded without surprise, her eyes calm and firm:

"There will always be a next bait. We may be short of manpower now, but we are not short of the will to fight against the Dark Lord. The number of people who have signed up to be Aurors in the past few days speaks for itself."

She stopped in front of the black door and shook hands with Dumbledore, Jane and Harry one by one:

"I am very happy that we are gathered here with the same heart. My brother and his whole family have sacrificed their lives for this, and I am always ready to do so. Even if I die, as long as there is still a person named Bones in the world, no matter who it is, she will inherit my legacy."

Dumbledore's robes fluttered behind him. He looked deeply moved and spoke in a powerful voice:

"Oppression breeds resistance. Voldemort has created the enemy he fears most. He is on the road to his own destruction."
