Mocking and Wedding

Mocking and Wedding

As soon as Harry got out of the car, the black dog barked at him twice, then turned and ran into the first supermarket at the street corner.

"Queenie, my stomach hurts, wait for me!"

It's not a particularly clever excuse, but it works.

Queenie watched Harry's retreating figure and figured he must be in a real hurry, so she slowly walked into the gift shop next to the supermarket and admired the various Christmas ornaments displayed at the entrance to attract customers.

The black dog ran straight into the toilet, and Harry followed without thinking.

Once out of the crowded area, Sirius transformed back into human form. Harry burst into the men's restroom and saw Sirius grinning at him.

He shoved his godfather into the innermost cubicle. "Sirius! How dare you follow me and Queenie like that!"

"Shh—" Sirius calmly pulled out his wand from his sleeve and waved it, then cleaned the toilet seat before sitting down casually. "How can you call it sneaking? I've been following you openly and honestly all along. I even smiled at you every time you looked at me."

"..." Is that so? He didn't notice.

"Queenie is really pretty, isn't she?" Sirius was clearly more interested in his godson's girlfriend. "To be honest, the last time I saw such a pretty girl was your mother."

"Queenie is the prettiest! I mean, as pretty as Mom."

Sirius laughed and patted him on the shoulder. He used a silencing spell and wasn't worried about being overheard. "She likes older men?" He was referring to Harry's use of the aging potion.

“Well, she thought I was that age…” Harry mumbled an explanation. “You haven’t answered my question yet, what are you doing here?”

"Oh, I'm here to stop you from breaking up with Queenie, and I also want to meet my godson's girlfriend. I knew she'd be a good girl!"

“She is—wait, why would I break up with Queenie?” Harry frowned; he couldn’t stand hearing that.

“That’s not Arthur… cough, I was thinking you might be afraid of causing trouble for Queenie and thus compromise your own principles.” Sirius spoke frankly. “I know you’re a kind child, or perhaps too selfless? I even prepared a set of words to persuade you—to be honest, Remus is better at this, it took me a lot of brainstorming to come up with these words—although Hermione said I probably wouldn’t need them, because you simply can’t bear to be separated from Queenie, and even if you could, Queenie wouldn’t agree.” Sirius laughed again, “But now it seems Hermione truly lives up to her reputation as the wisest witch, I think she was right about everything?”

Harry's brow remained furrowed. "I won't make any more hasty decisions, Sirius. In fact, I've thought about those lurking dangers countless times before I was with Queenie. My reason tells me that staying away is the best course of action, but my emotions won't allow it. So I will strive to become stronger, strong enough to protect Queenie, protect Hermione, protect Ron, and protect you. Voldemort wants to kill me, doesn't he? Perfect, I want to kill him too."

Harry's serious expression, coupled with his early twenties demeanor, reminded Sirius of his best friend from that summer.

"You understand why Lily and I insisted on having our wedding at this crucial moment, right, Bigfoot?"

"Of course, why should we give up our normal lives because of some troublesome dark wizard? To hell with him!"

“James…”

"What?"

“It’s nothing.” Sirius stood up. Harry, who was in his early twenties, was already as tall as him. “You’ve grown up.”

With his outstanding appearance, kind heart, and unwavering courage, Harry embodies all the wonderful qualities of James and Lily.

He deserves all that is good.

"Alright Harry, don't keep your girlfriend waiting too long." Sirius opened the cubicle door first and went out. The door to the next cubicle opened at the same time, and a boy who looked like a high school student looked at his two "neighbors" in surprise. "What are you doing? Why is there no sound?"

Sirius stared at him with his gray eyes for two seconds. The boy's expression turned blank, and he locked himself back into the cubicle, as if he were under a confusion spell.

Harry watched the whole thing in silence, then followed Sirius. "You need to go back first. Don't forget you're still on the Ministry of Magic's wanted list."

"It's Christmas, Harry, don't spoil the fun," Sirius said dismissively. "Since we've come all this way, I'm going to come with you!"

“But Queenie is afraid of you!” Harry quickly found a reason. “She’s so scared of you that she hides behind me! Don’t you remember?”

"..." He hadn't forgotten; he had seen through it back then and was quite hurt by it. But he had one advantage: he was stubborn. "If I had behaved more obediently—wait, I forgot about the transformation."

Sirius turned and went into the cubicle again. When he came out, he was all big feet. He circled around Harry at the door, as if urging him to hurry up.

It seems Sirius isn't going back. Well, he can come up with a good excuse: he'll say this is a new member who joined the family after his aunt's house was attacked...

"Harry?"

Queenie's voice suddenly rang out.

Harry, who was trying to come up with an excuse, was startled to find Queenie waiting at the supermarket entrance with a shopping bag. She quickly walked over and asked, "This dog... is it the one downstairs from my house? Does it know you?"

“Well, he is—” Harry’s words were cut short by Sirius’s cheerful shouts.

Queenie smiled at the black dog. "By the way, who was the man you were talking to just now? I saw this dog come out after he went in?"

Harry, “…!”

Sirius, “…!”

He needs to change his story.

"Um... that person was Sirius, a colleague of mine..." Wait, he could have just said Sirius was his godfather or some stranger he'd met! He was used to making up characters on the ship!

“I haven’t heard you mention this before?” In Harry’s intermittent contacts with her, he had mentioned Third Officer Ron, Ship’s Doctor Hermione, Cook Neville, and two mechanics named Dean and Seamus. This was the first time she had heard the name Sirius.

"Well, we're in charge of different areas, and he's still my superior..."

Queenie blinked, imagining Sirius as the colleague Harry had mentioned who had been promoted. Perhaps Harry hadn't mentioned it to her because he still felt a little uncomfortable?

“This black dog is called Bigfoot, he’s Sirius’s dog. He wants to—well, he has a terrible stomachache, so he asked me to look after the dog for him.”

Queenie half-squatted down, supporting herself on her knees, and tentatively reached out to touch the black dog's head. Bigfoot was very clever and immediately put his head into her palm, obediently letting her stroke him.

Queenie happily petted the black dog. "But why was it downstairs at my house earlier?"

"..." Good question, he also wants to know the reason.

Sirius whimpered twice in time, and Queenie's attention was immediately drawn to the unexpected cuteness of a huge black dog making a puppy-like sound.

"Oh my god, you are so majestic and cute, just like your owner!"

...She thinks Sirius is cute? That makes sense; she always calls strange men "cutie" when they first meet them!

Harry pursed his lips. "Honey, aren't you afraid of dogs?"

“I’m not afraid at all!” Queenie said in a light tone. The black dog became like a golden retriever in her hands, extremely docile. “I was just pretending to be even more scared because I thought you were scared. After all, you’re my boyfriend, and I want to take your feelings into consideration.”

"...You think Sirius is handsome?"

“Don’t you think?” Queenie finally turned her gaze to him. “Is good looks a prerequisite for becoming a sailor? You’ve gotten used to it? If you ask me, your colleague would definitely turn heads if he walked down the street.”

Very well, she had a high opinion of Sirius's appearance, and that was based on a single glance from afar.

Harry had never imagined he'd ever be jealous of Sirius! ...And this time, he clearly saw Sirius smiling!

"Okay, let's go. He'll catch up on his own." He took Queenie's hand and then took the shopping bag from her with his other hand. "What did you buy?"

"Couple's Christmas scarves—Mr. Potter, are you jealous? Because I complimented your colleague? Hmm?"

“I don’t have any—uh, why is there green?” He genuinely dislikes green.

"Of course there are green Christmas scarves—really not?"

"...just a tiny bit."

"Don't worry, darling, although Sirius is indeed the most handsome man I've ever seen—"

"..."

"—But because I like you, you are the more handsome one."

Room on the third floor of number 12 Grimmauld Place.

Hermione and Ron unpacked the gift Queenie had specially bought for Harry's "colleague" while listening to Sirius vividly recount his "haul" from his sneak-out.

Hermione laughed so hard she couldn't stand up straight, "Hahahaha—so Harry really is jealous of you? Hahahaha!"

Sirius beamed, "I'm going to tell Harry and Queenie about this at their wedding!"

“I support you!” Ron raised his hands.

“…No way!” Harry threatened viciously, feeling mercilessly mocked. “Otherwise, I’ll tell you all about how you chased Fleur at your wedding!”

Ron and Hermione were no longer laughing.

The only thing that remained unchanged was the happy look on his big feet. "Relax, Harry—"

Harry breathed a sigh of relief, thinking Sirius had given up on the idea.

"I definitely will."

"...?"

"Ha ha ha ha!"
