Chapter 19
The Slug Club is right next to the Potions classroom. Today they gathered together to chat. There were seniors and first-years. If Lily wasn't there, Ayala would probably want to leave right away.
"Tomorrow is Hogsmeade Day. Want to join us?"
Lily tied up her long hair today, she usually lets her hair down.
"OK."
Ayala responded and looked at the professor who was speaking happily on the stage.
"I regret coming here. I should be sleeping at this hour."
"I didn't expect the professor to hold it in the morning either."
The boring and long two hours finally passed. She had her meal and went back to the dormitory to catch up on her sleep.
Now Narcissa would write a letter every three or four days to share her happy life. She looked at the letter and then at the homework in front of her, saying that people were very different.
On Hogsmeade Day, Lily was waiting for her in the Great Hall early in the morning. When Ayala arrived, she had already finished breakfast. Feeling embarrassed to make Lily wait any longer, she quickly ate two pieces of bread and went out with her.
As a result, as soon as she walked out, she ran into the four predators. The four of them seemed to have been standing there for a long time, and the smile on Lily's face quickly froze.
"Evans, do you want to go to Hogsmeade together? I'm very familiar with that place."
"I already have an appointment."
Porter glanced at Ayala.
"Turner, Remus has been wanting to tell you something."
She looked confused, and Lupin quickly came over.
"That's right, but it's not convenient to say it here."
Ayala was forcibly taken away from here. Before she left, she looked back and saw Lily's face was uglier than ever.
"What's up?"
She had no fondness for the famous Marauders, but Lily said Lupin wasn't that annoying.
"Excuse me, I was just doing James a favor."
“…”
Hogsmeade wasn't that new to her, and Ayala only went to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer and then returned.
She met Lily again in the arithmetic divination class. In the first class, the professor wrote the number corresponding to each letter on the blackboard and asked everyone to calculate their own name.
Ayala's personality number is 1, representing solitude or individuality. People with a 1 are highly independent, focused, honest, and determined. They set a goal for themselves and then relentlessly pursue it. They dislike working with others and are reluctant to give orders. They can be self-centered, willful, and domineering. They typically keep to themselves.
Lily's number is 3. The Pythagoreans considered 3 the first number of "completion," as it can be a sequence of numbers, encompassing a beginning, a middle, and an end. 3 represents genius, energy, artistic accomplishment and talent, a sense of humor, and sociability. People with this number are often approachable and wealthy, with a high probability of success. However, they also have a downside: they may have difficulty focusing on a single task.
The boy reappeared in her dream, and in her dreams, Ayala, accustomed to his presence, sat down to talk with him.
"Today I had a divination class and the professor asked us to calculate our own numbers. My number was 1."
"A friend of mine also has the number 1."
"What about your numbers?"
"My number is 2."
"2…People with this number are highly imaginative and creative. Their personalities are gentle, balanced, and natural. They are well-coordinated, loyal, responsible, and very fair. However, the number 2 also represents contradiction, a mixture of positive and negative aspects. It often represents the two diametrically opposed sides of a situation: day and night, good and evil, and so on. People with this number may be introverted, withdrawn, moody, indecisive, and introspective."
The boy glanced sideways at her.
"You didn't memorize the contents of the textbook, did you?"
Ayala nodded and shrugged.
"I have nothing to do anyway."
"I remember that Hogwarts has many extracurricular clubs. Didn't you join any of them?"
"Are you from Hogwarts?"
"right."
"No, I don't pay attention to any clubs. I don't really like communicating with other people."
No one answered. She turned around and found that the boy was gone. The scene around her quickly turned white. A note appeared at her feet. Ayala just picked it up and was about to read it, but everything disappeared again. The strange thing was that when she woke up, she found the note in her hand.
...Nothing was written, and even after using the spell, it was still a blank piece of paper. She found an empty box and put it in. She glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside and realized that there were only ten minutes left before class.
Ayala had no time to think about the note. He hurriedly brushed his teeth and washed his face and went out, tying his hair with a magic headband as he ran. When he arrived at the classroom, it was just time for class.
This class is Potions, and she is taking it with Ravenclaw. The bad news is that most of the people here have already found partners, and it seems that she is the only one left alone.
"Ms. Turner, I hope you can come earlier next time."
Professor Slughorn came out from behind her, smiled at her, and glanced around the classroom.
"Oh, it seems Mr. Snape doesn't have a partner either. You should be in a group with him."
...Snape? He's so good at potions, how come no one wants to team up with him?
Ayala squeezed over holding her Potions textbook. Snape glanced at her and pushed two potion ingredients to her. Oh, let her deal with it. There was no communication between the two for the next dozens of minutes. She slipped away as soon as the get out of class was over. The next class was Charms.
The afternoon class was Defense Against the Dark Arts. This year, there was a new professor, a German witch named Miss Schmidt. She said she was an Auror in the past. She had short black hair and a scar on her face.
"I went to the Forbidden Forest yesterday and caught a Boggart. I put it in this box. Can anyone tell me what a Boggart is?"
Lily quickly raised her hand.
"Miss Evans."
"A Boggart can transform into the thing you fear most, thus trapping a wizard."
"So what does it look like?"
"Boggarts don't have a specific appearance."
"Very good, five points to Gryffindor. Now I need each of you to come up one by one and deal with the Boggart. The spell to deal with the Boggart is Ridiculous."
Lily walked forward immediately, and Ayala pretended to line up and stood at the back. She didn't want to know what her Boggart looked like. She saw many other people's Boggarts, spiders, clowns, and snakes.
As luck would have it, even though her position was very far back, it was still her turn. Bogut was still the balloon that the previous person had transformed into. Suddenly, Bogut turned into Ayala...
To be specific, it was a ghost named Ayala. She was floating, like other ghosts in Hogwarts. Ayala raised her wand and prepared to cast a spell. At this moment, the ghost Ayala's eyes met hers. She unconsciously let go of the wand in her hand, touched her head with one hand, and then she herself fell down with the wand.
The last thing she knew before she fainted was someone calling her name and shaking her.
The medical wing, that's where she woke up.
"Madam Pomfrey?"
She called out, and a moment later Madam Pomfrey came over with a cup of potion.
"Miss Turner, thank goodness you're awake. Drink this potion and you can leave."
She took the green potion and asked.
"What's wrong with me?"
"You passed out during Defense Against the Dark Arts class because of a Boggart, but I couldn't find out what was wrong with you. This potion should help with your headache."
"Thanks."
After drinking the potion in one breath, she slipped away. Although she had only been unconscious for two hours, the news that she had fainted because of the Boggart had spread throughout Hogwarts.
