Chapter 14
"Ayala!"
She turned her head subconsciously and found that it was Wood. She was standing on the Quidditch field, preparing to mail a letter.
Wood was holding a beautiful broom in his hand, wearing a red jersey, his thick hair looked beautiful in the sun, and his face was covered with sweat.
"Hello."
Ayala was wearing a large sunhat, and Wood's eyes drifted to the letter in her hand.
"Are you going to mail a letter?"
"Obviously."
"I can go with you."
He turned his head and talked to a senior student. Ayala turned her eyes elsewhere and found that a girl with brown pigtails was looking at her with a dull look in her eyes. The moment her eyes met, the girl immediately looked away.
Wood followed her and talked about what happened at Christmas.
"Who is that girl?"
"who?"
This sudden question made Wood stunned.
"Just now on the court, there was a girl with brown hair who kept staring at me."
"That's Anne Smith, the sister of a player on our team. She's a year younger than me. What's wrong?"
She shrugged.
"She kept staring at me."
Ayala walked into the owlery and quickly found his owl.
"Give it to my aunt, go ahead."
She adjusted her hat and headed outside.
"Want to go back to training?"
"I'll take you back first. Do you want to go to the dormitory?"
"I'm going to the library first."
"I send you."
She didn't say anything, and Wood took it as her consent and continued to follow her... Finally, they arrived.
"You can go now."
"goodbye."
She nodded, then walked into the library, taking off her hat as she walked. The classification of spells... she finally found it.
She picked out a few books that interested her and then found a seat.
"Ayala!"
...Why did I meet so many people who knew her today? It was Evans.
"What's wrong?"
"Would you like to sit together? I'm alone too."
There were several books and several sheets of parchment on Evans' desk.
"good."
It was perfect, there was no need to look for a seat, she pulled out the chair opposite and put down the book.
Evans's red hair had grown longer and she smiled at Ayala, who froze for a few seconds before looking down at her book.
"Ayala?"
"What's wrong?"
"I've been thinking about electives for third year. Which ones would you like to choose?"
"I don't know much about course selection. How many courses can I take at most?"
"I can choose 5 courses, but many of them will overlap. Professor McGonagall told me that she can help me apply for a Time Turner."
"At least?"
"At least two. The electives are Divination, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Fantastic Beasts, Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies."
"I'm not very interested in Magical Beasts and Muggle Studies. I'll probably choose the other three."
"I heard that there was someone in Hogwarts' history who got 12 O's. I hope I can do that, but five subjects probably won't be enough."
“Are you writing a paper?”
Ayala looked at her blank parchment.
"Yes, the History of Magic paper. This time the topic stumped me."
"Do you know Anne Smith from your college?"
Evans looked up and thought for a moment.
"Remember, she and a fourth-year Chaser are siblings. Why are you asking that?"
"I was just passing the Quidditch pitch and she kept staring at me."
She immediately showed an expression of understanding.
"...Why do you look like that?"
"She's become a huge fan of Miles Wood's ever since she saw him play Quidditch. She probably doesn't know he has a crush on you, so she'll probably give up after today."
"...is there anyone else who has a crush on Wood?"
"He's a pretty good Quidditch player, and he's not bad looking either, it's just that you don't have any feelings for him."
"...At this age, it's too early to talk about love."
"Agree."
Ayala lowered his head to the book in his hand, flipping through one spell after another.
"Thank God."
It was Evans' voice that brought her back to reality.
"I finally finished it."
"How long has it been?"
As she spoke, she looked at the clock not far away.
"An hour has already passed."
"Do you want to continue watching?"
"No, I'm going back to the lounge."
Ayala stood up, gathering the books and preparing to return them to their original location, and Evans returned them with her.
"Potter is here."
She had just returned the book when she saw a Gryffindor figure. Evans was visibly stiff for a few seconds, then left at a speed she had never seen before.
"Turner, have you seen Lily?"
"Yes, because she saw you, she left."
Potter ran towards Evans at a faster pace, while she walked slowly out of the library and then slowly to the lounge.
Narcissa arrived at the dormitory at some point. She was chatting with a few girls, looking very excited. She became even more excited when she saw Ayala.
"Ayala, come on."
"……What's wrong?"
"I'm going to pick out my wedding dress this Easter!"
"...You're getting married?"
"Yes, the preparations have already begun. You have to be the maid of honor when the time comes."
"...Isn't it too fast? This marriage is too early."
"As long as you meet the right person, it doesn't matter how early you meet me."
Looking at the rainbow bubbles in her eyes, Ayala chose to keep his mouth shut and not ruin this fantasy scene.
Although Evans' paper was written in one hour, it did not affect its quality at all. This was the first time that Professor Binns praised a student's paper, and this student was Evans. Ayala looked at the E on his paper and fell into deep thought. It would have been fine if he hadn't received any praise, but he hadn't gotten an O yet.
But she soon turned the tables in Charms class.
Narcissa was not at all anxious about the upcoming NEWT exam, as her mind was focused on the wedding arrangements. However, her grades were generally good, so she probably didn't need to worry.
Ayala, on the other hand, was tortured by writing papers every day and had to deal with Wood's harassment. Recently, she always received Anne Smith's attention when she was eating, which was what bothered her most.
And every time she turned to look at Smith, she lowered her head and pretended nothing had happened, which annoyed Ayala.
The content of the transfiguration class is becoming more and more interesting, from turning matches into needles, to plates, knives and forks, and water cups.
