Chapter 23 Little Headband Guy, you've really been a handful for your sister...
"Since we're going to fight, how can we leave out the Heavenly Sword Sect!" Li Chengfeng arrived in an instant, riding on his longsword. As his clothes fluttered, the young swordsman's eyebrows were like swords, and his body exuded a chilling sword intent.
As she landed, a gigantic sword phantom, hundreds of feet tall, materialized behind her, its tip pointing directly at the location of the group of cultivators from Guzhou.
A meaningful, cold laugh came from the horizon.
Everyone looked up at the sound and saw warships of the Great Li Dynasty emerging from the clouds one by one, with Li Shoumo standing with his hands behind his back in a black dragon-patterned robe.
Behind her, dozens of warships were arranged in a V-formation, with hundreds of Xuanjia soldiers standing on each ship. The soldiers were all covered in black armor, and the long spears in their hands gleamed with a cold light. Their murderous aura was almost tangible.
"I've come at just the right time. When did the Sima family's influence extend into the territory of my Great Li?" Li Shoumo said with a smile, but his words were extremely impolite.
"Since we're going to fight, let's bring one of my Hundred Flowers Valley along!" A clear, melodious female voice rang out from the left side of the group.
Everyone looked in the direction of the voice, and some recognized the woman who spoke. They whispered among themselves, "It's the current top disciple of Hundred Flowers Valley, Fairy Hua Jinhe. She's so beautiful."
Another person chimed in, "Sister, don't bring your own opinions into this. I think Pavilion Master Liu is prettier."
"Nonsense! The Great Princess is clearly prettier. She's my goddess! The true goddess of Dali!" Another female cultivator joined the gossip.
When the old man heard one person after another step forward to challenge him to a fight, his face turned ashen, the veins on his hands behind his back bulged, and his white beard trembled incessantly, clearly as he was trying his best to suppress his anger.
His verbal sparring with Zhong Jiuli was merely an attempt to salvage some of the face he had lost in public. As a sacred land of the Nine Provinces, the Sanqing Sect would not easily engage in major conflicts with any force, which was why he dared to gain some advantage through words.
But these small forces in the desolate state actually dared to jump out and make a fuss, which really infuriated him.
If it weren't for Liu Xianyue's interference, the Sima family could have wiped them out with just a flick of their fingers, given their limited resources in the Wilderness State.
Thinking that this secret realm is likely the ancient inheritance site recorded in the family's ancient books, as long as we can obtain the inheritance of this secret realm, why should the Sima family worry about not being able to join the ranks of the eight great families?
By then, these ants will be at their mercy.
"Pavilion Master Liu is joking..." The old man's face twitched, each word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, his hoarse and unpleasant voice was piercing to the ears, "The Sima family and the Myriad Elephant Pavilion have no enmity, why should we start a war?"
His words only mentioned the Myriad Elephants Pavilion, clearly indicating that he completely disregarded everyone else. The Wilderness State was not worthy of his Sima family's attention. Even the Princess of Li Kingdom was not in his eyes.
Bai was also dumbfounded. What kind of talk is this? Just because I glanced at you in the crowd, we're going to fight to the death?
She couldn't help but wonder if she was actually living in a Mary Sue story? Whenever she was in trouble, a passive ability would be triggered, and everyone present would rush out to her rescue in a frenzy.
This is... utterly ridiculous.
After the old man finished speaking his words of admission of defeat, a deathly silence fell over the surroundings. No one present paid him any attention.
His chest heaved violently, and his withered fingers clenched into fists. If it weren't for his hundreds of years of cultivation, he would have fainted from anger long ago.
At this suffocatingly awkward moment, the towering pillar of light suddenly trembled violently, and the originally dazzling light began to slowly subside, turning into a semi-transparent film.
Through this light membrane, one can vaguely see the verdant mountains and birds, as well as countless medicinal herbs and elixirs.
"The secret realm is about to open!" someone shouted.
In an instant, everyone's eyes turned to that direction.
The light membrane gradually faded until it dissipated into the air, revealing the entire scene within the secret realm.
It was a blessed land that resembled a celestial abode, with spiritual herbs and precious medicines everywhere, towering ancient trees covered with bright red spiritual fruits, seven-colored spiritual springs flowing in the mountain streams, and even colorful phoenixes flying in the sky.
"Charge!" someone shouted as they rushed into the secret realm.
In an instant, thousands of cultivators transformed into streaks of light and rushed toward the entrance of the secret realm. Swords, magical treasures, and spirit beast mounts flew through the air. Before they had even truly entered the secret realm, these cultivators in mid-air had already begun fighting each other.
A group of people flew towards the location of the secret realm while fighting, while those who were already around the secret realm studying the Daoist arts arrived at the entrance first.
Bai Ye looked at the group of fools rushing in and shook her head smugly. She had read the script before; anyone with a bone age over eighteen would be kept out.
As soon as she moved, Zhong Jiuli immediately supported her head, half-squatting down and touching her head with one hand, asking, "Are you hurt anywhere?"
"No, I'm fine. I just felt a little dizzy for a moment, but I'm fine now." Bai Ye patted his chest after saying that, indicating that he was perfectly healthy.
"The Sima family has suffered a great humiliation today, and they will not let this go easily. Once you enter the secret realm, if you encounter any of their people, do not entangle with them. If you can escape, then escape," Zhong Jiuli instructed worriedly.
"Mmm." Bai nodded her little head, her bright eyes looking directly at Zhong Jiuli, and said confidently, "You know, I run the fastest, none of them can catch me."
“Yes, you run fast.” Zhong Jiuli chuckled.
While the two were talking, those people had already rushed to the front of the secret realm. Only then did people realize that something was wrong, as many cultivators were blocked outside.
At first, no one knew why, but as more and more people entered, they discovered the pattern: those who could enter the secret realm were all young people.
The ancient monsters, who had cultivated for a long time, roared angrily, "If we can't get in after killing those juniors, then nobody else can get in either!"
In an instant, shouts of battle filled the air, and the young rogue cultivators who had come without the support of elders or sects were immediately surrounded.
In an instant, dozens of young cultivators were reduced to dust and their souls were destroyed by the attacks of the old monsters.
"Suppress!" A cold shout resounded like thunder across the sky.
Everyone felt an immense pressure coming from above, as if an invisible mountain was pressing down on them, causing their legs to buckle and involuntarily kneel on the ground.
Looking up, one could see Li Shoumo standing in mid-air, her black dragon-patterned robe fluttering without wind. Her face was cold and stern, her phoenix eyes filled with anger. With a slight lift of her hand, a large seal hung in her palm, and the supreme pressure emanated from the seal.
"You brat, how dare you be so insolent before this old man!" An old monster below roared, and with a sudden flick of his withered, claw-like hand, a pitch-black snake shot out from his sleeve. The black snake grew longer in the wind, and in the blink of an eye, it transformed into a giant python tens of feet long, with gleaming white fangs, carrying a foul-smelling wind as it rushed straight towards Li Shoumo's face.
Li Shoumo remained indifferent, not even glancing at the black snake out of the corner of his eye.
"Slay the evil!" she uttered softly.
The moment the words fell, it was like a divine decree.
The entire void froze, and the two golden characters "Exterminate Evil" transformed into two massive mountains, pressing down on the crowd below.
The moment the ferocious black snake touched the golden light, it didn't even have time to hiss before turning into a cloud of black ash and vanishing.
The old monster's expression changed drastically. Before he could even flee on his sword, he felt an unparalleled pressure crash down upon him.
With a "crack," his protective aura shattered instantly, and his knees slammed into the ground, with most of his body sinking into the earth.
The old monster's eyes were bloodshot, and a hoarse, grating roar escaped his throat, "The Human Emperor...this is the power of the Human Emperor...how did you obtain it? Spare me..."
The pleas for mercy abruptly ceased, and the words "Exterminate Evil" descended from the sky. The old monster's body exploded instantly before everyone's eyes, his flesh, blood, and soul turning to ashes in the golden light, leaving not even a speck of dust behind.
Dead silence!
The cultivators present felt as if they had fallen into an ice cave. Some old monsters who had been eager to make a move turned pale and staggered into the crowd.
That was a Nascent Soul cultivator, yet she couldn't even withstand a single move from this Great Princess of the Li Kingdom. Keep in mind, she was only at the Golden Core stage, and the Human Emperor's Seal was terrifyingly powerful.
Li Shoumo put away her seal and stood with her hands behind her back. She glanced down at the crowd below and said in a cold voice, "Within one breath, give way to the entrance to the secret realm."
"Those who do not retreat will be killed without mercy!"
"Kill without mercy!!!"
"Kill without mercy!!!"
"Kill without mercy!!!"
The thousands of Xuanjia soldiers standing behind her roared in unison, their voices shaking the heavens.
Bai was also very excited, her face flushed, she felt like she was about to explode with passion.
Many young people shared her sentiments; the young cultivators, their cheeks flushed, shouted at the top of their lungs, "Long live the Great Princess!"
Amidst the increasingly loud shouts of "Long live the Emperor!", a statement that seemed completely out of place suddenly rang out: "Great Princess, I want to be your Daoist partner."
The crowd stopped shouting and turned to look at the female cultivator who had spoken. She shyly covered her face and rushed into the secret realm.
Only then did everyone seem to wake up from a dream and rush into the secret realm.
The old folks exchanged glances and then reluctantly stood guard at the door.
It doesn't matter if they can't get in; they just need to wait and see.
Li Chengfeng hovered her sword in front of Bai Ye and asked with a smile, "Little guy, do you want to explore the secret realm with your older sisters?"
Bai also shook his head and refused. Once you enter this secret realm, you will be randomly teleported, so it's impossible to travel in groups. You won't even know where you'll end up once you're inside.
"Alright, take this." Li Chengfeng tossed over a signal flare. "If you encounter any danger, pull the trigger. I can see you within a radius of ten thousand miles, and I'll come looking for you as soon as I see you."
Without waiting for Bai Ye's reply, she leaped away on her flying sword, pulling Li Shoumo along as they entered the secret realm together.
Bai put away the signal flare and waved goodbye to the two women beside him: "Zhong Jiuli, I'm going in too."
"You ungrateful little thing, your older sister just stood up for you, and you won't even call me by my name?" Liu Xianyue raised her eyebrows and glared at her with her almond-shaped eyes, about to pinch her cheek.
"Liu Xianyue, I'm leaving!" Bai Ye shouted, then leaped out of the spirit boat. His small body moved through the air a few times before rushing into the secret realm.
"Little thing, you run really fast." Liu Xianyue sighed softly, then turned to Zhong Jiuli beside her, "Stop looking, they've already gone inside. Let's go back to the cabin and wait."
Zhong Jiuli's gaze lingered on the entrance to the secret realm for a long time, as if she were pondering something. Finally, she sighed and said, "I'm a little worried. Xiao Hei has only been cultivating for a short time, and the cultivators entering the secret realm are all more powerful than her. That secret realm is too dangerous for her."
Liu Xianyue shrugged: "What's the use of worrying? Even if the two of us old folks wanted to get in, we couldn't, could we?"
Zhong Jiuli looked at her and said calmly, "I have a way."
As if realizing something, Liu Xianyue cried out in terror, "Zhong Jiuli, you damned woman, what are you trying to do? No!!"
Unfortunately, she cried out too late. Zhong Jiuli had already made her move. Her jade-like fingertips traced intricate Dao patterns in the void, and each stroke caused a spatial tremor.
"Lend me a drop of your essence." She grabbed Liu Xianyue's wrist and forced a drop of blood from her fingertip.
"Hey... don't drag me into your madness, I didn't agree! It hurts!" Liu Xianyue shouted.
As she cried out in pain, Zhong Jiuli also forced out a drop of blood essence from her fingertip. The two drops of blood essence hung in the center of the magic array and filled the array eye.
The formation took shape at this moment, the spacetime passage opened, and amidst the raging spacetime turbulence, two figures gradually solidified, walking out of the spacetime passage side by side.
A girl of about sixteen or seventeen, wearing a fiery red dress, covered her fingers and muttered, "Zhong Jiuli, did you get my permission?"
Her eyebrows and eyes were almost identical to Liu Xianyue's, except that she still had some baby fat on her cheeks.
Another girl in white stood quietly, her long, black hair tied up high with a red ribbon. If Bai were here, she would recognize that the familiar ribbon was exactly the same as the one on Bai's head.
"Now, you can go in." Zhong Jiuli's aura was much weaker, but the corners of her lips were slightly upturned, and her eyes were smiling.
Da Liu Xian Yue frantically dragged Zhong Jiu Li's arm into the cabin, yelling, "I'm so annoyed with you, you stinky woman! Go inside and take your medicine!"
The young Zhong Jiuli flew towards the secret realm without looking back, and Xiao Liu Xianyue followed helplessly. The two figures arrived at the entrance of the secret realm one after the other.
The entrance to the secret realm shimmered with light, seemingly harboring some suspicion towards the two "young cultivators," but after only a few flashes, it opened the entrance and allowed them to enter.
The old men who were kept outside were furious, lamenting that they were the same old men, so why were these two allowed in?
Only after everyone had entered the secret realm did the old man Sima, who had been standing still, turn around and walk into the cabin. A short while later, he respectfully followed behind a young man in a purple and gold robe.
The old face that Zhong Jiuli had just slapped was now even more swollen, suggesting that he had been punished again in the cabin.
The young man in purple robes was imposing and carried an air of dominance. His gaze was sharp, and he ignored the clan members standing to the side. With a flick of his sleeves, he flew straight toward the entrance of the secret realm.
Upon seeing this, the other young men in fine clothes quickly followed with their respective guards, disappearing from the entrance to the secret realm in the blink of an eye.
......
As soon as Bai Ye stepped into the secret realm, he discovered that the concentration of spiritual energy here was dozens of times higher than that of the outside world. Even without activating his cultivation technique, the rich spiritual energy was rushing into his body.
If one were to cultivate here, it would likely take a thousand miles a day.
She looked around and saw lush green grass and towering ancient trees reaching into the clouds. Just a hundred feet in front of her, a dragon scale fruit tree with a bluish-green spiritual light stood out.
The dark blue dragon scale fruit has a surface covered with fine scales that shimmer in the sunlight. Its fragrance can be smelled from afar, and a light sniff makes her feel comfortable and refreshed.
Bai did not act rashly, as there were always demonic beasts guarding the spirit fruits. She lightly touched the ground with her toes, leaped onto an ancient tree beside her, concealed herself behind the dense canopy, and released her divine sense to explore the surroundings.
Wherever his divine sense reached, besides the giant snake hidden in the dragon scale fruit tree, he only saw a few low-level spirit beasts foraging on the grass. After confirming that he was the only one within a hundred feet, Bai withdrew his divine sense and sat down cross-legged.
She closed her eyes and began to circulate the Formless Technique. As the technique circulated, her joints made a crisp "crackling" sound, and her body grew at a visible speed, like bamboo shoots breaking through the soil in spring.
In the blink of an eye, she transformed from a little girl into a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy. Her features were still faintly visible, but compared to her previous porcelain doll-like cuteness, she now possessed a more refined and youthful air.
The robes she wore were made of some unknown material; as her body grew larger, her clothes also grew larger, which saved her the trouble of changing clothes.
Bai straightened his clothes, then as if he had thought of something, he raised his hand and pulled off the hairband. He used his long fingers as a comb to gather all the strands of hair on top of his head in a few quick movements, neatly tying up his long hair.
They're all grown up now; they can't just wander around with two little buns on their heads—that would ruin their image.
After tidying himself up, Bai raised his hand and summoned Xiao Lü, pointing to the dragon scale fruit in front of him and saying, "Shall we rob you?"
Xiao Lü glanced at the tree laden with fruit, inhaled the fragrance in the air, and watched the tender branches sway. Clearly, she was already tempted. She asked, "How do we pick them?"
“There’s a sixth-tier dragon-horned serpent in that tree. I can’t beat it. You go lure it away while I pick the fruit. I’ll give you half of it after we’re done,” Bai said, revealing her plan.
Little Green protested: "Why can't you lure the snake and I pick the fruit?"
"Because you're good at stealing food. You eat so fast, what if I go to lure the snake later and you've already eaten all the fruit and then tell me you only picked two? I'll be at a huge loss."
"You can't believe it?" Little Green said in surprise. "I never thought of that before. How could you be so naughty, you little rascal?"
Bai covered her mouth, thinking, "Oh no, could this little brat have been corrupted by her?"
Little Green said, "I think it's better for you to lure the snake. I can't run as fast as you, but I can definitely pick fruit faster than you. I won't steal any. I, Little Green, am a tree of noble character."
"Are you sure you won't steal food?" Bai asked suspiciously.
"Fine, don't pick it then. Anyway, I don't necessarily need to eat that dragon scale fruit." After saying that, Xiao Lü made a move to return to Bai Ye's body.
Bai quickly stopped her, "I'll go pick it, but I'll leave within ten breaths. I can't hold it off for too long."
Little Green readily agreed, and its emerald green roots detached from White's palm, silently coiling around the branches like a small, emerald-green snake lurking in the bushes, poised to strike.
Bai casually broke off a branch and held it in her hand, weighing it in her palm. She took a deep breath and suddenly pushed off with her toes.
With a sharp crack, the branch snapped, and the slender figure shot out like an arrow, quickly approaching the branch where the dragon-horned snake was located.
"Go!" Bai Ye flicked his wrist, and the branch lashed out with a whooshing sound as it struck the hard scales of the dragon horn snake.
"Snap!" The sharp sound was particularly jarring in the silent woods.
The dragon-horned snake, which had been resting with its eyes closed, slowly opened them. Its cold, green, vertical pupils locked onto the fleeing figure. Unlike ordinary snakes that crawl, it took off directly into the air and soared through the air, its body moving like a dragon, already showing some of the characteristics of a serpent.
Bai hadn't heard any noise behind her and assumed the dragon-horned snake hadn't chased after her. She was hesitating whether to turn around and harass it again when suddenly the hairs on her body stood on end, and an inexplicable sense of crisis washed over her. Almost instinctively, she dodged to the side.
A ball of black flame silently landed where she had just stood. Almost instantly, the ground was corroded into a deep pit, from which wisps of black smoke rose, emitting a pungent stench.
After rolling several times on the ground, Bai knelt down on one knee to steady herself. She looked up and met the dragon horn snake's emerald-like vertical pupils, which held a human-like mockery as it looked down at her.
“Junior,” the dragon-horned serpent suddenly spoke in a hoarse, grating voice, “you are the first person to dare to whip my head with a branch. You are very bold.”
Bai also stood up, supporting himself on his knee with one hand, and chatted with the other party to buy time, "Senior Snake, you are a magnanimous old snake. I was just joking with you. I'll leave now so as not to disturb your rest, okay?"
"I will make you die a horrible death." As soon as the dragon-horned serpent finished speaking, it suddenly sprang up and spat out another ball of black flame. This time, the black flame that spewed out was obviously much larger, and while it was still in the air, it split into dozens of streams, blocking all of Bai Ye's escape routes.
"Get out of here, you stinky snake, don't chase me, or you'll lose your fruit!" Bai Ye roared, covering his head with his hands and slithering away as fast as he could.
As for the black flames falling from the sky, Bai didn't even blink before charging into them. Anyway, it wasn't like he hadn't been roasted by fire before. Black flames and red flames are all fire. Being roasted won't kill him. At worst, it will just hurt a little.
Just as the black flames landed on Bai Ye's head, the red ribbon tied to her hair suddenly emitted a soft red light, enveloping her entire body.
Bai didn't even have time to be surprised. How could the hairband Zhong Jiuli gave her have self-defense effects? She took off running as fast as she could.
Upon hearing this, the dragon-horned snake turned around and saw that all the dragon scale fruits it had painstakingly guarded for nearly a hundred years had been picked clean. It was so angry that it almost collapsed to the ground.
"Shameless little thief, you're asking for death!" the dragon-horned serpent roared as it chased after him.
A man and a snake engaged in a chase through the forest. Black rain fell from the sky, destroying vegetation and billowing black smoke wherever they went, creating a scene reminiscent of the apocalypse.
......
On the other side.
The moment Zhong Jiuli stepped into the secret realm, she felt her feet sink into the mud, her white shoes sinking into a swamp. Dark green bubbles churned in the silt, emitting a pungent, fishy stench.
"I never expected my luck to be so bad. I stepped into this forbidden land as soon as I entered the secret realm." Zhong Jiuli murmured to herself, her brows furrowing as she looked at the mud under her feet.
She has always been a clean person, so walking in the mud was really uncomfortable for her.
Before she could survey her surroundings, with a splash, mud flew everywhere, and a massive, armored crocodile, dozens of meters long, burst out of the water, opening its blood-red maw to bite her.
Zhong Jiuli's eyes turned cold. She raised her hand and pressed it against the giant crocodile's head, using the force to leap into the air. Her snow-white skirt fluttered in the air, avoiding the splashing mud, and landed on the giant crocodile's uneven carapace.
Just then, the hair ribbon on her head suddenly glowed with a soft red light. Zhong Jiuli raised her hand and stroked the ribbon. It was a love ribbon that she had made herself in her spare time. Another one was being worn in Bai Ye's hair. The two ribbons came from the same source and could sense each other even though they were thousands of miles apart.
The red light emanating from the hairband at this moment serves as a warning, indicating that the troublesome little fellow is once again in mortal danger.
"Get me out of here." Zhong Jiuli's voice suddenly turned cold, and the slender hand pressing on the giant crocodile's head exerted force.
The crocodile's cloudy eyes suddenly became clearer, and with its brain, which was barely larger than a soybean, it could sense the terrifying aura suddenly emanating from the woman on its back.
It opened its mouth and let out a low whimper, its thick, long tail swaying rapidly as it carried the evil spirit on its back quickly toward the edge of the swamp.
"Faster," Zhong Jiuli urged, her toes touching the top of the giant crocodile's head, a rare hint of anxiety in her eyes.
......
Meanwhile, Bai had already been chased for hundreds of miles by the dragon-horned snake.
To make matters worse, their commotion along the way was so great that it attracted other monsters to join the battle.
In short, after Bai had been fleeing for a long time, the number of monsters behind him... had increased.
This is a really bad thing.
Bai Ye's figure darted through the dense forest, leaving billowing dust behind him. A torrent of dozens of demonic beasts knocked the ancient trees along the way to the side.
Her neatly tied-up long hair was now disheveled, with a few loose strands falling across her forehead and fluttering lightly as she ran.
Even as she was being chased by a group of demonic beasts and fleeing for her life, a fearless smile remained on her lips. She would occasionally pick up stones and other objects from the ground and throw them behind her. The carefree and arrogant demeanor of the young girl only made the demonic beasts roar even more angrily.
In the dense forest, several cultivators were intently digging up the spiritual herbs in their hands when one of them noticed a slight movement under her feet. She looked up and her eyes widened in surprise.
Her appearance caused her companions to look up, and they were all shocked.
A red blur was seen approaching the area at lightning speed, followed by a group of demonic beasts running wildly, raising clouds of dust and causing the earth to tremble.
"Get out of the way, run!" Bai Ye saw several cultivators ahead, but it was too late to turn around, so he could only shout to warn them.
The group of people turned pale with fright and, forgetting about the half-dug spiritual herbs, ran away and disappeared without a trace.
This frantic chase lasted from sunrise to sunset, and then from night to day.
Just as Bai was about to exhaust herself, a tender green branch suddenly sprouted from the ground and wrapped around her leg.
"Little Green, you're finally back!" Bai said, panting heavily.
"Stop talking nonsense and eat quickly." Little Green tossed her a dragon scale fruit.
Bai caught the fruit, not even bothering to wipe the skin, and took a big bite. The flesh of the Dragon Scale Fruit melted in his mouth, instantly turning into a scorching torrent that flowed through his limbs and bones.
"Mmm...delicious." Bai mumbled indistinctly, and finished the fruit in a few bites, even chewing up and swallowing the pit.
The spiritual energy transformed from the Dragon Scale Fruit surged wildly within his body, filling his depleted meridians. When the surging spiritual energy completed a full circuit through his meridians and entered his dantian, Bai Ye's cultivation level was forcibly pushed up to the seventh level of Qi Refining.
She let out a satisfied sigh; the feeling of this surge of power was truly captivating.
When the dragon-horned serpent saw Bai eating its fruit right in front of it, it became so enraged that it went berserk on the spot. It flew into the air and began to indiscriminately spew black flames onto the ground.
Bai also glanced back, a provocative smile playing on his lips. "Hey, big snake, thanks for the fruit, it tastes really good. Here's one back, now stop chasing me, okay?"
"You little thief, you deserve to die!" the dragon-horned serpent roared angrily.
Bai didn't care what it was yelling. She took out a dragon scale fruit and threw it at the group of monsters, shouting, "Guys, grab the fruit!"
For a moment, the frantically chasing group was thrown into chaos, seemingly contemplating whether to obediently snatch the fruit or continue chasing the human.
They didn't know why they were chasing; they just saw other beasts chasing, so they followed suit.
It seems that chasing humans did have its advantages; we got the fruit this way.
After throwing away the fruit, Bai stopped caring and continued running wildly.
Little Green, however, let out a slightly distressed burp and complained, "You actually lost a Dragon Scale Fruit."
"So what? I can't keep being chased around by them forever. How am I supposed to find good things elsewhere if I don't get rid of them?"
"Go ahead and throw it away. I've already finished my portion. Everything in the space is yours. I'm going to sleep. Don't bother me unless it's important." After saying that, Xiao Lü fell into a deep sleep. She had eaten too many dragon scale fruits and needed to sleep for a while.
"Okay, go to sleep. I promise I won't bother you unless it's something." After saying that, Bai Ye took out another dragon scale fruit and started eating it.
After finishing the fruit, Bai's physical and spiritual energy were replenished, and he walked faster and faster, so the group of demonic beasts behind him could no longer catch up.
Only the dragon-horned snake in the air was still relentlessly pursuing them. Bai also pondered that he still had to kill this guy, otherwise, with it flying in the sky and him running on the ground, he would never be able to get rid of it.
Having made her decision, Bai stopped blindly fleeing and began to think about how to bring the giant creature down. Since it could fly, while she could only hop around on the ground, fighting the giant snake in the sky would definitely put her at a disadvantage.
We need to find a way to lure the dragon-horned snake down.
"Xiao Wang, scan the map and see where it's a good place to lure the giant snake down," Bai said in his mind.
"Hey kid, run southwest. There's a blood-red plain over there. If you run that way, all the monsters will avoid that area."
Upon hearing this, Bai immediately changed direction and ran in the direction Xiao Wang had indicated.
Soon, a familiar dark red area appeared in the field of vision. Bai thought to himself, no wonder Xiao Wang called this place the Blood Plain, it really is very red.
On the Crimson Plain grew many enormous, mushroom-like plants, which were also blood-red and looked rather eerie.
Bai also felt a sense of familiarity with this shade of red, after all, he had spent the previous six months struggling and working on these mountains.
Without looking back, she rushed into the red soil area. As soon as she stepped in, she felt something strange. The ground under her feet was soft and damp, and with each step, a light red liquid seeped out, like blood. But she couldn't smell the blood; instead, she could smell a faint, sweet fragrance that was very tempting.
Bai unconsciously took a few deep breaths, finding the taste indescribably tempting.
"Hey kid, stop running! The dragon-horned snake isn't chasing you anymore."
Bai seemed not to hear Xiao Wang's words and kept running towards the giant mushroom on the plain.
"Little guy, you've really made your sister look for you a lot. If you run away again, you'll end up feeding the mushrooms."
