Chapter 61 Oh ho, what are you barking like a dog?

Chapter 61 Oh ho, what are you barking like a dog?

The explosion resounded through the sky.

The violent shockwave instantly vaporized the seawater within a radius of a hundred miles. Amidst the rising mist, it looked as if a bored god was holding a ladle and scooping up a spoonful of seawater from this boundless ocean.

In this apocalyptic scene, the golden tortoise shell phantom firmly protected the people on the tortoise's back.

Zhong Jiuli, holding the golden tiger cub, stood on the turtle's back, looking at the group of people above, and understood what Hei Yang meant by "save your energy."

So there was a group of people waiting for her up there! This made her even more curious about Hei Yang's cultivation level.

The other party was merely a remnant soul, yet he was so much stronger than her.

"Zhong Jiuli!!!"

The Wang family patriarch stepped out into the air, his immortal sword radiating brilliant divine light.

In today's cultivation world, the path to ascension has long been severed, and true immortal artifacts are extremely rare. The reason why these ancient families have been able to stand firm is because of the foundation left by their ancestors.

Even if their own cultivation level is not as high as Zhong Jiuli's, they may still be able to suppress her with the power of the immortal artifact and the sheer number of people.

Bai was also jolted awake by the shout, his head throbbing. He lazily lifted his eyelids and saw that the sky was densely packed with people.

"Why is there still an ambush?" she murmured softly in Zhong Jiuli's arms.

"It's alright, they're just a bunch of clowns." Zhong Jiuli gently stroked her head. "Continue refining the Dragon Pearl to heal your injuries, don't get distracted."

Although Zhong Jiuli spoke softly, it did not escape the ears of the group of old monsters in the sky.

The Wang family patriarch laughed in fury, "You destroyed the spiritual veins of Tiankui Island, killed the direct descendants of my clan, and destroyed my Dharma Body! You have committed countless evil deeds, and yet you still dare to be so arrogant?"

"Zhong Jiuli, do you really think that you can contend with the tens of thousands of years of heritage of the eight great families by yourself?"

Bai also looked at the old man speaking in the sky. He had only glanced around and seen that the sky was full of people, so he hadn't paid attention to the old man's appearance.

Upon closer inspection, it became clear that this was none other than the golden-haired patriarch of the Wang family.

"What are you barking like a dog?" The little tiger's cute yet fierce voice echoed across the sea.

Bai also leaped up from Zhong Jiuli's arms, spread his wings, and hovered in front of everyone.

With a single glance, Bai saw through the true nature of these people, his golden pupils burning with divine fire.

I thought a bunch of old monsters had really come, but they were all just clones.

"You little beast, you're courting death!" The Wang family patriarch attacked in a rage. Wherever his sword pointed, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth gathered wildly, instantly condensing into a terrifying sword shadow that stretched for hundreds of miles in the void.

This sword strike contains the power of a powerful cultivator and a celestial artifact.

Before the sword even arrived, the sea had already split open into a bottomless abyss.

The moment the Wang family patriarch made his move, the patriarchs of various other families who had been watching from the sidelines also joined in.

The cultivators in the Mahayana stage unleashed their full domains, each wielding a celestial artifact. Under such power, the entire space cracked, and dark spatial rifts appeared in the sky.

At the same time, a crimson array appeared in the sky, illuminating the entire sea area in a fiery red.

As the array rotated, meteors rained down from the sky, bombarding the people on the sea.

Zhong Jiuli gently raised her hand, and a silver wheel engraved with time runes appeared above her head.

With a light tap of her fingertip, the ancient inscriptions on the roulette wheel lit up one by one, activating the power of time.

Attacks powerful enough to destroy the entire sea were frozen in mid-air, including those old spellcasters.

After doing all this, Zhong Jiuli's aura instantly weakened. Forcibly blocking this wave of attacks was no easy task for her.

Bai also looked at Zhong Jiuli with concern. Of course, she knew that dealing with these people was not as easy as she made it sound.

Zhong Jiuli met her concerned gaze, her eyes softening. "You can lead them away from here and break this great formation, right?"

"Take the Chu sisters and A-Lian away from here, then come back for me, okay? With your speed, you can shake off those people, right?"

Bai wanted to say no, she wanted to fight alongside Zhong Jiuli, but she felt like something was blocking her throat, and she couldn't speak.

She knew that Zhong Jiuli's decision was right. They couldn't implicate the innocent and had to send these people out of the formation. Otherwise, they would only be a burden to Zhong Jiuli if they stayed here.

Just like before at the bottom of the sea, the moment they encountered the Primordial Demon Chapter, Zhong Jiuli was arranging an escape route for them.

"I almost forgot, you still have to protect her." Zhong Jiuli chuckled, taking the small crimson egg out of her storage ring. "Our young hero, Bai, will definitely be able to protect everyone, right?"

Bai hugged the egg, which was almost as big as her, tightly, and asked in a trembling voice, "I will protect them, Zhong Jiuli, and you will be alright too, right?"

"Snap!"

A crisp cracking sound rang out, and cracks appeared on the time-space wheel, with dazzling silver light shining through the cracks.

Zhong Jiuli did not answer.

She simply patted Jiao Jiao's head lightly, "Good girl, come on, let's take them away."

"Mmm!" Jiao Jiao nodded emphatically, bursting out of the water like a shooting star.

Bai also held the egg tightly in his arms, his pupils reflecting Zhong Jiuli's figure facing the enemy alone.

"boom!"

"boom!"

"boom!"

One explosion after another rang out, and the entire sea area was engulfed by the blinding light.

The figure was no longer visible in his sight, and Bai Ye's eyes were already blurred with tears.

"Yezai...don't cry," Jiaojiao whispered to comfort her.

"I didn't cry." Bai wiped his face vigorously. "The light from the explosion was too blinding. I won't cry."

"I need to find a way to break the formation quickly and get you out of here. Every second I delay, Zhong Jiuli is in greater danger." Bai Ye's voice was very calm; she really couldn't cry.

"Don't cry, little one, I'll help you break the formation." A-Lian patted Bai Ye's shoulder, her voice a little weak.

She was also seriously injured, and all she could do at the moment was to work with Bai Ye to break the sealing formation as soon as possible.

Bai nodded, his Golden Eyes of Illusion circulating at full power, instantly transforming the world before him into countless chaotic currents of spiritual energy.

The complexity of this sealing array far exceeded Bai Ye's imagination. The layers upon layers of array patterns were like a net covering the sky and the earth, and each pattern contained the power of laws.

A sharp pain shot through Bai Ye's pupils. Overusing the Eye of Truth had blurred her vision, and the intricate array patterns transformed into sharp blades, striking directly at her soul.

"How could it be so complicated? How could it be so complicated!" She covered her tear-filled eyes and murmured to herself.

"Ye Zai, calm down." Xiao Wang whispered in her mind, trying to comfort her.

[Don't forget, we have a script. Zhong Jiuli, like you, survived to the end, right?]

"I know." Bai took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. She sent the little egg that Liu Xianyue had transformed into into Xiao Lü's space, placing it in the center of the blooming white lotus of creation. The primordial energy enveloped the entire little egg, nourishing Liu Xianyue's soul.

With his hands free, Bai closed his eyes and focused his mind, reconstructing the array patterns he had just seen in his mind.

A moment later, Bai opened her eyes again, her panic gone, replaced by determination. She waved her claws, drawing hundreds of points of light in the air. "A-Lian, let's split up. You're in charge of clearing these array flags."

Before A-Lian could reply, she spread her wings and the tiger disappeared onto the tortoise's back.

Next, thousands of white tiger cubs appeared on the sea. Bai also pushed his Void Escape Technique and movement skills to the limit, each afterimage appearing as if solidified.

Nearly a thousand figures were simultaneously trying to dismantle the array flags. The array was far more sturdy than Bai Ye had imagined, and she had to exert all her strength to destroy each flag.

The rear, the center of the battlefield.

As the light from the explosion faded, a figure stood in mid-air.

Blood stained the corner of Zhong Jiuli's mouth, her clothes fluttering in the wind. Her slender white fingertips gently brushed the corner of her lips, wiping away the trace of blood.

She looked up, her eyes as calm as ever.

"If this is all you have, you can't kill me." A voice devoid of emotion resounded in everyone's ears.

The Wang family patriarch, however, was not angry. His eyes gleamed with an almost manic excitement. "She's injured! She really is injured! Heaven is on my side!"

"Zhong Jiuli, today is your death day!" The Gu family patriarch roared, and the immortal artifact in his hand emitted a dazzling light.

A mountain large enough to fill the entire sea descended from the sky; this was the immortal artifact left behind by the ancestors of the ancient family, the Mountain-Turning Seal.

Its imprint is as large as a mountain, enough to suppress all enemies in the world.

Facing the slowly descending mountain, Zhong Jiuli's palm flashed with crimson light, and a crimson longbow appeared out of thin air.

There was only a bow, but no arrows.

The moment Zhong Jiuli raised her hand to draw the bow, a silver-white arrow of law instantly materialized.

When the old men saw the large bow, their expressions changed. They scattered and avoided the direction Zhong Jiuli was aiming.

Zhong Jiuli smiled, letting those people dodge, and suddenly released the bowstring with her fingers.

"Buzz!" The bowstring vibrated slightly.

The arrow was shot silently; its existence could not even be detected in the air.

The next moment.

"Pfft!"

The arrow pierced through the domain of the ancient patriarch.

He looked down at the bright, gaping hole in his chest, disbelief in his eyes.

How could it be him? He couldn't detect any trace of the arrow.

With a "plop," the Gu family patriarch sank helplessly into the sea. The Gu family's elites were shocked and rushed into the water to retrieve their patriarch.

With the release of the arrow, silence fell over the sea.

"Attack together! Don't give her a chance to draw her bow; she must be at her last gasp!" the Wang family patriarch roared, slashing down with his immortal sword once more.

Zhong Jiuli's figure flashed, instantly moving a thousand miles. But no matter how she moved, the giant mountain remained above her head.

"boom!"

A massive mountain looms overhead.

Zhong Jiuli raised her hand and struck out with a palm, blocking the ever-pressing mountain.

In the instant she paused slightly, the sword light unleashed by the Wang family patriarch had already reached her.

A massive mountain loomed overhead, while a sharp sword light flashed before her. Zhong Jiuli had nowhere to dodge and could only sidestep to avoid a fatal blow. The sword light grazed her shoulder, taking away a piece of flesh.

Blood splattered, and the pure dragon blood fell into the sea, causing the sea beasts below to frantically leap out of the water and greedily devour the blood containing Zhong Jiuli's aura.

Zhong Jiuli's palm surged with silver light, shattering the giant mountain above her head.

Amidst the billowing dust, she raised her hand and drew her bow, sending three arrows of law piercing the air.

The arrow, formed from the laws of time, was nearly unstoppable. The moment it was released, within Zhong Jiuli's laws, the arrow already existed simultaneously in three dimensions of time: past, present, and future.

No one can avoid it.

"puff!"

"puff!"

"puff!"

Three muffled sounds of flesh being pierced rang out simultaneously. The domain space of the Mahayana cultivator was as fragile as paper before this arrow of law.

This is what makes Zhong Jiuli so terrifying. No one else could break through the domain of a Mahayana cultivator so easily. You must know that within the domain of a Mahayana cultivator, they are gods who rule over everything.

Three more people fell into the sea. The remaining old monsters looked at each other, each seeing deep fear in the other's eyes.

"Damn it, wasn't she already injured? Why does she still have the strength to shoot this arrow of law?"

"Don't panic, she can't hold on any longer." The Wang family patriarch forcibly suppressed the shock in his heart. "She had a great battle at the bottom of the sea earlier, and she can't shoot more than a few arrows with the remaining spiritual power. This is when she is at her weakest."

The old monsters fell silent for a moment, none of them wanting to step forward and challenge Zhong Jiuli's power.

The Wang family patriarch roared again, "Everyone, if Zhong Jiuli doesn't die today, the day she recovers will be the day our family is destroyed."

The old monsters' eyes sharpened, and they simultaneously gave orders.

"Self-destruct! All of you, self-destruct!"

At this command, thousands of assassins, like emotionless puppets, flew forward fearlessly, their spiritual power surging wildly within them, and a blinding light shone from their dantian.

"Boom!" The first assassin to reach Zhong Jiuli's side detonated his dantian.

Immediately following this were a series of explosions.

Amidst the deafening explosions, the old monsters launched their relentless and insidious attacks.

Zhong Jiuli struggled to dodge the dense attacks. Old Ghost Wang was right; she didn't have much spiritual power left.

More and more wounds appeared on his body, and his clothes were gradually soaked with blood.

"Quick, she can't hold on much longer." Old Ghost Wang grinned and unleashed a series of sword strikes, each one powerful enough to pierce through the entire sea.

The elders seized the opportunity and attacked simultaneously. The immortal artifacts in their hands shone brightly, and all their killing moves descended at the same moment.

The shield that Zhong Jiuli had erected in front of her shattered in less than a breath, and her figure drifted slowly down in the air like a leaf in the wind.

In that instant, time seemed to slow down.

The old monsters' ferocious expressions froze on their faces as they watched Zhong Jiuli's figure slowly fall, her blood-stained clothes fluttering in the wind, and the bright moon of the Nine Provinces continent fall in their hands.

Just as she was about to touch the water.

A silver ripple spread out from her center.

The light waves from the explosion flowed back to their origin, and Zhong Jiuli's figure, which had fallen into the sea, rose again as if from a reversed image.

She lightly touched her brow with her finger, and a dazzling silver light burst forth in her eyes. Her aura began to rise steadily, instantly breaking through the shackles of the Mahayana stage.

"Ascension Realm..." The Sima family patriarch's voice was distorted and changed. He had been hiding in the shadows, thinking of delivering a fatal blow to Zhong Jiuli.

If we were to name the person present who hated Zhong Jiuli the most, it would undoubtedly be the Sima family patriarch. Yet, at this moment, his eyes were filled with horror.

Zhong Jiuli raised her hand, and a bright moon appeared in her palm. Where the moonlight shone, everyone was horrified to find that they had lost control of their bodies.

Their already aged skin became wrinkled in an instant, as if their time was being taken away from them.

"What a pity..."

"If your original bodies were here, you would be spared the trouble of making another trip to Guzhou in the future."

Zhong Jiuli's voice was very soft, as if she were talking to herself. She looked at the figures frozen in mid-air with some weariness, raised her hand, and snapped her fingers casually.

"Smack!"

In an instant, frozen time and space began to flow again.

The old monsters struggled to escape, but they were horrified to discover that their bodies were decaying at a visible rate.

The skin cracks and peels off, and the flesh dries up and shrinks.

As the sea breeze blew, the decaying and aging body turned into dust and scattered, leaving not a trace.

The entire sea was deathly silent, with only Zhong Jiuli's solitary figure in the void.

She lowered her eyes and looked at her palm. Suddenly, she spat out a mouthful of blood and could no longer maintain her posture. Like a crane with broken wings, she slowly fell into the sea.

"Ha ha ha ha!!!"

A shrill laugh escaped through the cracks in the space.

The true form of the Wang family patriarch stepped out of the crack, holding a real immortal sword. Immediately afterwards, the figures of the other old monsters appeared one after another.

This was the true form of the seven great family patriarchs, each possessing extremely vigorous blood and energy, forming a stark contrast with Zhong Jiuli's weak aura at this moment.

"Zhong Jiuli!!!" The Wang family patriarch laughed maniacally, "You're finally going to die!"

"Now that things have come to this, what cards do you still have up your sleeve?"

The old monsters looked at the weakened Zhong Jiuli with smiles in their eyes.

"Old Wang, you're really smart; you actually guessed it." The Gu family patriarch's voice boomed like a bell.

This is the ancestor of an ancient family, who was willing to sacrifice the lives of thousands of elite soldiers to stage this grand show, just to confirm whether Zhong Jiuli truly still had the strength to fight.

Zhong Jiuli looked up at those people, her eyes showing no fear of death, only weariness of the human cultivators killing each other. "You should know that if I don't want to die, no one in this world can truly kill me."

"Today we will grind you to dust." The seven patriarchs simultaneously formed hand seals, each holding a genuine immortal artifact, and launched their strongest attack.

Looking at those ferocious faces, Zhong Jiuli's mind was filled with the image of that little tiger that always got angry.

From now on, without my company, I don't know how much suffering that little one will endure. Fortunately, Jiao Jiao swallowed the serpent's core and has already reached the Mahayana cultivation level, so she should be able to protect her.

In a short moment, a number of thoughts flashed through my mind.

The attack was already upon them. Zhong Jiuli closed her eyes and faced her death with equanimity.

"Roar!" A deafening tiger's roar echoed across the sea.

The snow-white figure crashed into the battlefield like a meteor, and at the critical moment, it used its massive body to block the fatal blow.

"Little tiger?!" Zhong Jiuli suddenly opened her eyes, looking at Bai Ye who was blocking her way in disbelief.

The excruciating pain caused Bai Ye's hair to stand on end, and his newly healed body to crack open again, with blood and bits of flesh raining down.

"I'm here." Bai also panted, reaching out his paw to press Zhong Jiuli into his arms.

The two were tightly embracing each other when they were violently blasted into the deep sea by the terrifying energy impact, partly due to Bai Ye's opportunistic actions.

"It's that little beast again, courting death!" Old Ghost Wang roared in fury, slashing repeatedly with his longsword.

The sword light fell into the water, crisscrossing and cutting through Bai Ye's body.

Bai also folded its wings, using its hard scales to block the sword light.

Although the dragon scales blocked some of the attacks, the power of the immortal sword was still not to be underestimated. As the sword energy crisscrossed, deep wounds that revealed the bone gradually appeared on her back.

Bai was trembling with pain, but she clung tightly to Zhong Jiuli as they sank deeper. She just wanted to get out, just wanted to get out...

Once she charged out, no one could catch her.

Blood gushed from the wound, spreading a crimson stain in the dark seawater. The blood, imbued with dragon energy, immediately attracted sea beasts lurking in the abyss.

A colossal figure approached from all directions. Bai Ye's golden eyes shone like a guiding light in the darkness, directing the sea beasts in their course.

"This is what they call being caught between a rock and a hard place," Bai thought to himself, trying to find humor in the situation.

An impatient sea dragon was the first to attack. It pounced forward and bit down hard on Bai Ye's already bloody wound.

With a "plop," a large chunk of flesh tore off Bai Ye's back, and she let out a small tiger-like roar in pain.

Even so, Bai still did not choose to fight back. Now she had only one thought: to rush out and escape this sea area.

The sea dragon had barely tasted Bai Ye's flesh when it was churned into a bloody pulp by the crisscrossing attacks from above.

Upon seeing this, Bai also had an idea. Without hesitation, she reached into her abdomen with her claws, pulled out pieces of flesh imbued with dragon energy, and threw them out.

The sea beasts rioted, frantically attacking the flesh and blood imbued with dragon energy. The depths of the abyss instantly descended into chaos.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Bai shrank his size, wrapped his tail around Zhong Jiuli's slender waist, and used a void escape technique to leave this bloody sea.

On the sea, the old monsters sensed something amiss. They had already locked onto the little beast's aura, but now that aura suddenly became mixed, as if there were dozens of the little beast's clones on the seabed.

"Damn you little beast, split up and chase them! Go into the water!" The Wang family patriarch roared in fury, grabbing his immortal sword and charging into the water first.

The remaining old monsters plunged into the churning seawater and scattered in pursuit.

It was a pipe dream to think that such a simple trick could fool a Mahayana cultivator. In just a moment, all the sea beasts that had been tainted by Bai Ye's aura were wiped out.

However, it won't take too long for Bai. As long as the sea beasts hold her back for a while, giving her a little breathing space, she will be able to escape this great formation with Zhong Jiuli.

The moment the two of them emerged from the crack in the great formation, the Chu family patriarch sensed their presence.

"Oh no, the great formation has been broken."

As the head of the number one array formation family in the Nine Provinces, the Chu family patriarch knew better than anyone the power of this great array. Even a true immortal would not be able to break through the array silently.

"How is this possible?" Old Wang roared in disbelief, "How could your Chu family's clan-protecting formation be so easily defeated?"

The Chu family patriarch had no time to explain, and his figure transformed into a streak of light as he rushed toward the crack in the great formation.

Seeing this, the other elders followed suit, and when the group arrived, they indeed found the tiny crack.

"So that's where he escaped from! Chase after him! That little beast's aura has reappeared." After saying this, the Chu family patriarch crawled out through the crack.

......

On the boundless sea.

Bai, holding Zhong Jiuli, continuously used the Void Escape Technique, each flash covering tens of thousands of miles.

However, even at this speed, it was still difficult to shake off the pursuit of those old monsters.

They followed Bai Ye closely, like hyenas chasing their prey.

It wasn't that they didn't want to chase, but Bai Ye's speed was indeed fast. Her combination of Void Escape Technique and golden wings made her speed even surpass that of a Mahayana cultivator.

But Bai was also about to reach her limit. For two days in a row, she didn't stop to catch her breath and could only stuff pills into her mouth to replenish her spiritual energy. However, her pill reserves were already depleted. If she continued to pursue this, she would really be exhausted to death.

The old monsters chasing behind them were not having an easy time either. The more they chased, the more frightened they became. The direction Bai fled in made everyone somewhat wary.

“We can’t go any further.” The Zhao family patriarch was the first to stop, his expression uncertain. “If we go any further, we will reach the true depths of the Endless Sea. If even one of those ancient ferocious beasts were to emerge, I’m afraid none of you would be able to escape, given your cultivation levels.”

"They're both seriously injured, so what are you afraid of?" Old Wang cursed through gritted teeth.

He looked around at the crowd and noticed that these old guys all had a sense of retirement on their faces.

"Old Wang, how many people who enter the Endless Sea ever come out alive?" the Gu family patriarch said bluntly. "We'll just stay here and guard them, and we'll make sure they don't get out."

"Damn it, you damned bastards! If you won't chase, I will!" Old Wang shouted, unwillingly pursuing the depths of the endless sea.

The others exchanged glances. Although they wanted Zhong Jiuli dead, no one dared to take the risk, since their lives were related to the future of their families.

The crowd scattered and disappeared into the void rift, intending to guard the place.

Meanwhile, deep within the endless sea.

Bai Ye flapped his battered wings, his consciousness hazy. Zhong Jiuli in his arms was breathing weakly and hadn't opened her eyes for a long time.

She wanted to stop and heal Zhong Jiuli, but the pursuers were still behind her, so she couldn't stop.

Inside its dantian, Little Green finally finished digesting the remaining energy of the Dragon Ball. As soon as it awoke, it was startled by the terrifying aura emanating from the sea and let out a sharp, explosive sound.

"You damned, stinking tiger, what are you doing here in the Endless Sea?"

Bai heard Xiao Lü's voice, and her tense nerves finally relaxed. She weakly grinned, "Sister Lü, please help me deal with that pursuer behind me. Next time there's something good, you can eat it first!"

"Shut up, let me stop your bleeding first. What do you think I am? Someone who cleans up your messes?" Xiao Lü cursed as she treated Bai Ye's wounds, muttering to herself, "All you do is provoke guys you can't beat. You always end up getting beaten up so badly."

A flash of green light appeared, and Bai's bloody wounds began to slowly heal.

Bai also caught his breath, and his golden tiger eyes regained their brilliance. "Sister Green, it's just an old man in the Mahayana stage, we can handle him, right?"

"If I can't handle it, are you just going to stop me from doing it?" Xiao Lü was almost laughing out of anger.

"I knew Sister Green could handle it!" Bai chuckled softly, with a hint of a little tiger's childishness. Hearing this, even the greatest anger in Little Green's ears dissipated by more than half.

With Xiao Lü in charge, Bai felt much more at ease.

She stopped running blindly and gradually slowed down to regain her strength and wait for the old man from the Wang family to catch up.

In a short while, the old man from the Wang family appeared on the horizon. He looked at the two people covered in blood, a glint of shrewdness flashing in his eyes.

If they kill Zhong Jiuli and refine her essence and blood, the Wang family will surely surpass the Bai family and become the head of the eight great families, or even the ruler of the Nine Provinces.

"Run! Why aren't you running anymore?" Old Wang approached quickly, and before he even arrived, the sword light that spanned the sky and earth was already upon him.

Bai also moved horizontally in the air, the sword light grazing past her body.

The sword light continued its momentum, slashing straight into a mist-shrouded island not far below.

Strangely, the sword light, powerful enough to shatter the entire island, fell into the mist and vanished silently, without even an explosion.

Bai turned around in surprise, her golden eyes vaguely catching something rushing out from the mist. She quickly dodged it.

"Whoosh!"

A brownish-red root, as thick as a bucket, shot out and pierced directly through Old Wang's chest.

The sinister smile on Wang Laogui's face froze. He slowly lowered his head, looking at the bloody hole in his chest, where the root had pierced through, and the flesh was rapidly withering away.

That thing was sucking his life essence.

"What...?" Old Wang murmured, his eyes filled with surprise and confusion.

He couldn't understand why, with his cultivation level, such an ordinary-looking root could pierce through his body.

The next instant, the root suddenly retracted, and Wang Laogui was dragged into the depths of the mist like a dead dog.

"Run! You stinky tiger, run!!!" Little Green's scream almost pierced Bai Ye's eardrums. "This is an ancient ghost vine, even a true immortal can eat it!"

Bai's fur stood on end, and he spread his wings, trying to escape, but his body seemed to be frozen in place, remaining motionless in the air.

She looked down and found that a similar brownish-red root had silently wrapped around her paw.

"Flap your wings harder, I'll help you!" Little Green shouted, and countless emerald green branches and leaves sprouted from Bai Ye's body, intertwining tightly with the brownish-red roots.

The moment the emerald green roots and brownish-brown roots made contact, the two ancient divine plants began to devour each other.

As they went back and forth, the small, lush green leaves withered at an extremely rapid pace.

Bai was also trying her best. With her physical strength, nothing should be able to compete with her, but being pulled by these vines, she couldn't even struggle.

"Ah, I can't take it anymore!" Little Green cried out, and all its tender leaves retracted. "When I grow a little bigger, I'll definitely be able to eat this stinky vine."

A tremendous force came from beneath his feet, and Bai was dragged into the Misty Island like a small cannonball.

A slightly distorted voice came from the wind: "Oh no... This is bad!"
