Chapter 163 Modern Era, Part 3: Older Man/Younger Woman, Beautiful, I Want to Sleep with You, But You Want...
The Maybach's retractable partition slowly rises, transforming the rear seats into a completely private space.
The moment their lips met, a dazzling display of fireworks exploded in Bai's mind.
So this is what a kiss feels like. It's softer than I imagined, with a hint of sweetness and a subtle alcoholic aroma, like a fruit-flavored liqueur candy.
She was so nervous that she forgot to breathe. Her hands, which were resting on the other person's slender waist, tightened unconsciously. Her eyes were also tightly closed, and her whole body trembled slightly with tension.
Zhong Jiuli chuckled and stepped back slightly, stroking her flushed cheek with his fingertips. "Breathe, you silly girl."
The warm breath sprayed on her cheeks, and Bai finally regained her senses. She cautiously opened one eye, intending to peek, but instead met a pair of smiling eyes.
Her eyes reflected her bewildered expression.
"So nervous? Is this your first time?"
Bai nodded, her long eyelashes drooping, casting a shadow under her eyes. She asked in a very soft voice, "Will you think I'm inexperienced?"
"How could that be?" Zhong Jiuli smiled faintly, leaning closer, her red lips brushing against her earlobe, her breath sweet as orchids, "I like you just the way you are..."
Her fingertips slowly traced Bai Ye's back, "Young, clean, like a pure white canvas."
The thin T-shirt couldn't block the warmth from the other person's fingertips. Wherever those magical fingertips moved, Bai felt the fire burning within her body.
She suddenly tightened her grip on his slender waist, pulling him into her arms, and turned her head to kiss his alluring red lips.
A flicker of surprise crossed Zhong Jiuli's eyes, but he quickly relaxed his waist and nestled into her embrace. His arms encircled her neck, and he tilted his head back, letting the kiss deepen.
"Sister wants to be the first to put brush to paper?" Bai asked breathlessly, lightly pecking at her lips.
Every word she uttered was scalding hot, and her eyes held a deep possessiveness. "On which other canvases has my brush touched, sister?"
Zhong Jiuli met her burning gaze, his fingertips tracing her collarbone beneath her collar. "Am I not... putting pen to paper?"
Before the words were even finished, the two had switched places. Bai pressed the other person down onto the seat, and his hand, which had been resting on her waist, slowly moved upwards, eventually landing on her undulating curves.
"Um......"
Zhong Jiuli snorted softly, snapping out of her dizziness. She pressed down on the restless hand and said breathlessly, "Not in the car."
Bai obediently stopped, no longer moving, but instead bent down, buried his face in her neck, and took a piece of soft flesh in his mouth, grinding it gently with the tip of his teeth.
Zhong Jiuli tilted his head back, his fingers trembling slightly as he ran his fingers through her soft hair, gently combing it: "So good... such an obedient child."
"You didn't answer my question." Bai also lifted his head from her body, his eyes deep and unfathomable as he stared at the woman beneath him, who was aroused.
"Um?"
Bai looked into her misty eyes and repeated, "On which other canvases has Sister put her brush to work?"
Zhong Jiuli chuckled, "Is that important?"
"Very important."
"I see..." Zhong Jiuli patted her back thoughtfully, gesturing for her to get up.
Bai obediently straightened up, watching her lift the slipped shoulder strap to cover her ample curves, then reached out and pressed the call button: "Go to Jiang University."
"Yes, Mr. Zhong," the driver replied from inside the car.
The sudden change in atmosphere left Bai somewhat at a loss. She secretly glanced at Zhong Jiuli's profile, trying to discern something from that calm and composed face.
Zhong Jiuli picked up the shirt that had slipped off and handed it to her: "Put this on, it's chilly at night."
"Are you angry?" Bai hugged his clothes and asked softly.
"No." Zhong Jiuli gently stroked her cheek. "Don't overthink it, it's just too late."
After she finished speaking, she closed her eyes and said no more.
The carriage fell silent, and the entire journey was uneventful until the train came to a smooth stop at the entrance of Jiangda University. Zhong Jiuli did not open her eyes again.
Bai hesitated several times before finally getting out of the car and watching the black sedan drive into the night and disappear from sight.
The night wind lifted the hem of her clothes, and Bai felt a chill for no reason.
On her way back to the dormitory, she kept thinking about every detail of what had just happened and realized that she had crossed the line and upset the other person.
That makes sense. With Zhong Jiuli's status, who can't she sleep with?
Why should she be so talkative?
But Bai was really unwilling to give up; that woman was indeed very attractive to her.
In her idealized love, everything should begin with a sudden flutter of the heart. Perhaps they could start a date with a bouquet of flowers, share an ice cream, hold hands cautiously in the movie theater, and finally kiss during a confession of love.
Instead of this ambiguous intimacy. But clearly, Zhong Jiuli just wanted some excitement.
"Sigh~"
Bai sighed softly, used the spare key to open the locked dormitory building door, and quietly went upstairs.
......
In the dormitory, Liu Yue, wearing headphones, was engrossed in a game, her keyboard clattering loudly.
Hearing the door open, she glanced at it casually, then her eyes widened instantly, and she even stopped playing the game.
Holy crap!
She tossed aside the keyboard, rushed to Bai Ye, and looked him up and down as if she'd discovered a new continent, "Tsk tsk tsk~~~"
"Are you... working part-time at a bar, or are you sneaking off to eat?"
Bai, somewhat annoyed, pushed her face away. "Stop messing around, I'm not in the mood."
"What happened? Did the date not go well? Or did you get forcibly kissed by that rich woman?" Liu Yue followed her closely to the bathroom door.
Bai also went into the bathroom and saw himself in the mirror. Only then did he understand why Liu Yue had said those things.
The person in the mirror had a touch of red on their lips, as if it had been stained by the juice of a ripe fruit.
She abruptly turned on the tap, scooped up cold water and repeatedly wiped the corners of her mouth with it, but the red stain seemed to have seeped into her heart; even after washing it off, she still felt a lingering mark.
"Tell me about it~" Liu Yue leaned against the door, her face full of gossip, "Did you meet a girl you like? Or did you get taken advantage of by a bad guy?"
Her response was a loud bang as the door slammed shut.
The sound of running water came from the bathroom. Liu Yue glanced at the tightly closed frosted glass door with some concern, but ultimately left.
A moment later, the sound of running water stopped, and Bai walked out of the bathroom with her hair still wet and dripping with water. She grabbed a towel and wiped herself haphazardly, looking somewhat absent-minded.
Liu Yue had already quit the game, sat cross-legged on the chair, and handed her a glass of warm water that had just been cooled down on the table.
"Are you really alright?" She looked Bai Ye up and down. "If anything's wrong, tell your buddies. Maybe they can give you some advice."
Bai took the water glass, sat down opposite her, and took a shower, but it didn't clear her mind; instead, it made her even more agitated.
She took a sip of warm water, gathered her thoughts, and said, "I met a very special person today."
Liu Yue perked up immediately upon hearing this and leaned closer to ask, "Who, who is it? Do I know them? Is it the person who left the lipstick mark on your face?"
Bai nodded.
"Wait a minute!" Liu Yue's eyes widened. "You mean, you met a woman you liked today, and then you kissed her tonight?"
Her voice rose considerably, her face filled with incredulous envy.
"Keep your voice down!" Bai hurriedly tried to cover her mouth.
"Okay, okay, I'll keep my voice down." Liu Yue lowered her voice, her expression still strange. "You, you're not back to show off, are you?"
“No.” Bai lowered his eyes and said dejectedly, “It seems like she only wanted a one-night stand… but I was a little tempted and didn’t want to start like this. Then, she seemed to get angry and sent me straight back to school.”
Is she pretty?
"very beautiful."
“Older, prettier, wants to sleep with you, but you want to be in a relationship.” Liu Yue counted on her fingers and nodded in sudden realization, “I get it, he’s afraid of being entangled with you.”
"Why?"
"Think about it, a mature and beautiful woman is lonely and wants someone to keep her company, and she happens to take a liking to you. But before anything even happens, she wants to talk about feelings. Who wouldn't be scared?"
Bai frowned in confusion, "But without an emotional foundation, how can we..."
“Then let me ask you,” Liu Yue interrupted her, “when you kissed her, did it feel bad?”
Bai Ye subconsciously touched his lips, his ear tips turning slightly red, "...Very good."
"That settles it!"
Liu Yue shrugged, “Since you like someone and can have close contact, why insist on being in a relationship? Feelings are the most unreliable thing. When someone likes you, they can say ‘I love you’ with just a few words. When they don’t like you anymore, they can just turn around and leave.”
"Aren't you a first-time mother? Where did you get so much experience?" Bai looked at her suspiciously.
"Hey! I was trying to give you some advice, and you're attacking me personally?" Liu Yue turned around angrily and climbed onto the bed. "I'm not going to bother with you anymore."
"Sorry, here's the half-pack of cookies left over from yesterday, it's yours, don't be angry." Bai also tossed the cookies from his table onto hers.
Liu Yue peeked out from behind the bed curtains and said irritably, "I want an extra bag of potato chips!"
Bai chuckled and pulled a bag of potato chips from his cabinet, tossing it over. "Is that enough?"
Liu Yue nodded in satisfaction, then pulled her head back inside.
After drying his hair, Bai also climbed into bed.
As soon as she closed her eyes, she saw Zhong Jiuli's face. She tossed and turned in bed for what seemed like an eternity before finally drifting off to sleep.
......
The next day in class, Bai stared blankly at the professor lecturing, his eyes unfocused.
After class, Bai and Liu Yue went to the cafeteria for dinner. After returning to their dormitory, Bai went to bed to catch up on sleep. When he woke up, it was already dark.
She got up, quickly washed up, changed her clothes, and left the school to go to the bar where she worked part-time.
At work, she wasn't very focused. She would absentmindedly wipe the glasses, a hint of anticipation in her eyes, hoping the other person would come to the bar again tonight.
Unfortunately, I didn't see that familiar figure until I got off work.
Bai changed back into her everyday clothes and walked out dejectedly. The night wind, carrying a drizzle, blew against her face, making her shiver.
She wiped her face and rushed towards the bus stop. She had only taken two steps when she saw the familiar Maybach parked by the roadside.
The car window slowly rolled down, and Zhong Jiuli, supporting his forehead, looked at her, a slender cigarette between his fingers, its glow flickering in the drizzle.
Bai also stopped in his tracks. The two looked at each other through the misty rain, neither of them speaking.
After a long silence, Zhong Jiuli spoke first. Her voice was low, perhaps because she had caught a chill the night before, "It's raining."
"Want me to give you a ride?"
