Chapter 33

Chapter 33

Mo Xiaoxin frowned, a hint of wariness flashing across her face.

Suddenly, without warning, the cave began to shake violently, and then a crack appeared in the ground beneath our feet, and the ground began to shift.

Before anyone could react, Mo Xiaoxin screamed in terror and instantly plunged into the dark crevice in the ground.

In the instant of falling, Mo Xiaoxin saw Leng Huai leap down without hesitation.

She never expected that Leng Huai, who had always been extremely indifferent to her, would jump down to save her without hesitation.

As they fell, the howling wind raged in their ears, and Mo Xiaoxin's mushroom ball was blown away by the wind because it no longer had Mo Xiaoxin's magic power.

And then all was plunged into darkness.

A "thump" was heard.

Mo Xiaoxin fell into a soft, fragrant, pink, transparent liquid.

Mo Xiaoxin opened her eyes and found that Leng Huai was not there. She called out Leng Huai's name, but no one answered her.

Fortunately, the magic staff was still on her back. She breathed a sigh of relief. At least she had something by her side, so she wouldn't feel scared or lonely in a strange place.

Mo Xiaoxin began to carefully examine the pink, transparent liquid surrounding her; it felt like she was moving through a jelly ball.

There were many red particles inside the jelly ball. She reached out to touch the particles, but found that her movements became slow. Her movements were hindered inside the jelly ball. She used a little effort to take two steps forward before she could touch the particles.

She held the grain up to her eyes and discovered it was a mouthwatering strawberry. She swallowed hard, rubbed her rumbling stomach, and popped the strawberry into her mouth.

The strawberry tasted sweeter than she had ever tasted before. She closed her eyes and savored it slowly, reluctant to swallow the delicious flavor in her mouth. She struggled for a while before finally swallowing it.

Not far from where she opened her eyes, there was another cake that looked fragrant and soft. She put it in her mouth and enjoyed the rich milky aroma.

What's going on? How can it taste so good!

She admitted she was a foodie, and that she had never tasted strawberries and cakes this good before.

She was enjoying the delicious taste, but after eating a few, she suddenly realized that something was wrong.

How come there are so many delicious foods here? Didn't she fall into a crack in the ground?

Why are you here?

Where exactly is this place?

Could it be some kind of illusion again?

She began searching for Leng Huai, calling out loudly, but no one answered.

It was as if she were the only person there.

She turned to the magic wand and asked, "Have you seen Leng Huai?"

The magic staff lay motionless behind her, as if it were dead.

A sense of unease welled up in Mo Xiaoxin's heart.

She walked around inside the jelly ball, but wherever she went, the jelly ball grew bigger and wider.

She couldn't break free, and her heart pounded with increasing panic and fear.

Suddenly, she heard Leng Huai's voice beside her: "Mo Qiuxin! Wake up!"

She groggily opened her eyes and found herself not in the jelly ball, but in an extremely cold ice pool.

Beneath them was the shadowy mist, which was supporting her and preventing her from falling into the icy pool.

Isn't this soft, fluffy feeling exactly like when she first fell into the jelly?

The magic staff kept circling around her body, looking very anxious. When it saw that Mo Xiaoxin had woken up, it finally breathed a sigh of relief and nuzzled Mo Xiaoxin's temples.

Mo Xiaoxin tried to reach out and touch it, but found that she had no strength.

"Don't move. You have a fever. You've been unconscious for several hours," Leng Huai said softly, his tone filled with barely perceptible worry and anxiety.

Several hours? Is that long?

No wonder her stomach was growling with hunger; she was even eating in her dreams.

Whether it was Mo Xiaoxin's imagination or not, she felt that Leng Huai's words carried a hint of gentleness.

She glanced at Leng Huai, who was squatting beside her.

Leng Huai sat on the shadow mist, his hands casually resting on his legs, exuding a chilling aura. His eyes were fixed straight ahead, not even glancing at her out of the corner of his eye.

He must be delirious from the fever. How could someone as cold as Leng Huai possibly be gentle?

The word "gentle" is not used to describe him!

Her face was flushed, and she was breathing hot air. Her mind was filled with Leng Huai's handsome face.

Pah, pah, pah! Get out of her head right now!

"Are you out of your mind? Why are you swinging it around like that?"

Was the icy pool beneath him as cold as he spoke?

She desperately wanted to jump up and slap Leng Huai right now, but unfortunately, she didn't even have the strength to lift her hand.

All I can do is watch Leng Huai being slowly tortured to death a million times.

Feeling the gaze from behind, Leng Huai glanced back.

Mo Xiaoxin quickly averted her gaze, turning her face away to look at the cold, hard surface of the pool, feeling somewhat guilty.

A vast expanse of white ice pool, surrounded by jagged black rocks, exudes a chilling and oppressive aura. The depth of the pool is unknown; its surface is smooth and solid, making it sure to slippery underfoot.

"Where is this?" Mo Xiaoxin asked weakly.

"If I'm not mistaken, this is the Ice Prison Demon Pool."

"Ice Prison Demon Pool?" Mo Xiaoxin had never heard of this place before; the name sounded terrifying.

"Legend has it that the Ice Prison Demon Pool comes from another dimension. It does not obey the arrangements of this world and can travel freely in this world. Perhaps it is under this cave today, or perhaps it will be somewhere else next time."

"That's amazing?"

"It has this name because no one who has entered this place has ever come out alive."

Mo Xiaoxin was startled. She glanced at the steep cliffs around her and said, "It is indeed not easy to get up there, but with your strong magic, you should be able to fly up."

“The magnetic field fluctuations here are very strong, and my magic power has become weaker here as well. I’m not sure if I can make it up,” Leng Huai said hesitantly.

If even Leng Huai couldn't get up there, then it was even less likely for her. Were they really going to die here?

Mo Xiaoxin was on the verge of tears. She had only wanted to explore the cave, but how could she have been so unlucky as to encounter the Ice Prison Demon Pool!

Mo Xiaoxin felt increasingly unwell, her mind starting to fog up again, and she murmured, "So cold...so cold..."

Noticing Mo Xiaoxin's unusual behavior, Leng Huai raised a ball of flame around her, and Yingzi Wu also blushed and heated up upon seeing this.

Mo Xiaoxin felt the warmth and groggily opened her eyes: "This is... an electric blanket and a small heater?"

Leng Huai couldn't understand what Mo Xiaoxin was muttering, so he frowned and asked, "Why are you starting to talk nonsense?"

Unexpectedly, the continuous heat caused the ice surface to gradually melt, and with a "crack", the ice surface broke.

Mo Xiaoxin lay on the shadowy mist, vaguely sensing that something was approaching them not far beneath her.

That thing seemed very powerful and carried a strong killing intent.

Mo Xiaoxin immediately sensed something was wrong, and she forced herself to get up.

She glanced at the calm ice surface, a sense of unease rising within her.

She looked in Leng Huai's direction and said weakly, "There's something swimming towards us from below!"

Leng Huai frowned as he looked at the slowly melting ice and carefully examined his surroundings.

Sure enough, something was approaching from under the ice, moving very fast, and he couldn't help but clench his fist.

Leng Huai glanced at the extremely weak Mo Xiaoxin again. Her face was frighteningly red, her lips were dry, and she looked like a sickly beauty.

Mo Xiaoxin actually discovered it before he did.

Ziyu had previously told him that Mo Xiaoxin was not suitable for practicing magic, but her actions today surprised Leng Huai, yet were also within his expectations.

After all, he had already planted snake venom in her. This venom has both advantages and disadvantages. Although it requires regular detoxification, it will increase her ability to practice magic.

As Leng Huai pondered, a huge creature suddenly sprang out from beneath his feet. A white dragon broke through the ice and hovered in the air. The white dragon stared fiercely at the two strangers who had intruded, and roared at them with its huge mouth wide open.

Mo Xiaoxin was looking up at the white dragon. This was the first time she had ever seen a real dragon. In the past, dragons in the Chinese zodiac were always particularly magical, and seeing one in person today was quite a shock.

But as soon as the dragon appeared, it drooled so much that it extinguished the flames surrounding her. The saliva splattered on her face, and the smell almost made her faint.

Turning to look at Leng Huai, she saw that he had already flown to a rock on the side and was standing far away from her.

Mo Xiaoxin was almost driven mad by Leng Huai. He just left her here alone to endure the white dragon's spittle, without even taking her with him!

She looked down and glared at Shadow Mist: "What's wrong with you? Didn't you even know to hide?"

Shadow Mist said aggrievedly, "It moved too fast, I didn't react in time..."

Mo Xiaoxin wiped the drool off her face with her sleeve in disgust, then looked at the white dragon again.

Bai Long's eyes were crimson, and his large face moved close to Mo Xiaoxin, scrutinizing her closely.

A weak and cunning woman, with limited talent.

Mo Xiaoxin noticed the white dragon's probing gaze and dared not move. The way the white dragon stared at her sent chills down her spine, as if he were looking at a delicious meal.

Bai Long then turned his gaze to Leng Huai.

The man seemed quite capable, and it was rather satisfied.

"Achoo!" Mo Xiaoxin was originally afraid to speak, but her nose was itchy and she couldn't help it.

Bai Long blinked and then shifted his gaze to Mo Xiaoxin. Mo Xiaoxin was on the verge of tears. She didn't mean it. If you want to eat, eat Leng Huai, don't eat her.

But the white dragon seemed to think otherwise. It opened its mouth wide toward Mo Xiaoxin, as if it wanted to swallow her whole.

Leng Huai suddenly said, "No wonder people always say that once you enter the Ice Prison Demon Pool, you can never come out. It turns out that you've eaten them all."

The white dragon chuckled, "It's been a long time since I've seen someone as talented as you in my Ice Prison Demon Pool. Today I'm going to have a good meal. After I deal with this trash, I'll have a good taste of you!"

Mo Xiaoxin was taken aback, her face darkened, and she said with displeasure, "Hey, was the trash you just called me?"

Bai Long lowered his crimson eyes and looked at the petite woman before him: "Is there a third person here?"

Judging from its expression, it seemed to look down on her, as if it were looking at someone who was mentally challenged.

Mo Xiaoxin didn't care about having a fever anymore. She suddenly got excited, forced herself to stand up, pointed at Bai Long's nose, and started cursing.

"Heh, don't think I'll be afraid of you just because you're a dragon! You just think you can do whatever you want because you're big. You think you're so great because you can move space? I have Taotao Mall, do you have that?" Mo Xiaoxin's face was flushed. After forcing herself to finish saying this, she became unsteady and swayed, as if a gust of wind could easily blow her over.

This was the first time Bai Long had encountered someone who dared to talk back.

It initially disregarded this woman; who would consider someone so weak a thorn in their side?

But now it seems to find her somewhat interesting.

"Taotao Mall? What is that?"

The white dragon actually became interested in what she was saying. Now it was a little reluctant to eat her. Eating her wouldn't do much to enhance its magical power. It would be better to eat the man later and leave this woman to keep it company and talk to it to relieve its boredom.

Mo Xiaoxin gave a mocking laugh: "How would a dragon living in such a confined space like you know about Taotao Mall? You wouldn't understand even if I told you!"

Bai Long grew impatient: "Tell me why, how do you know I don't understand?"

The white dragon's life was indeed monotonous and dull; it lived only within this icy, demonic pool, completely ignorant of the outside world. But it also had its pride; it didn't want to be looked down upon by the woman before it.

After saying a few words, Mo Xiaoxin lost her strength and fainted on the ground.

Standing not far away, Leng Huai coldly watched in the direction of Mo Xiaoxin.

Taotao Mall?

What nonsense is Mo Xiaoxin spouting now?
