Chapter 192 You Want Happiness

Chapter 192 You Want Happiness

Su Li smiled and said, "Forget it, if he wants to treat me, then give him the opportunity."

Because it was not far from where Li Mo lived, the two chatted as they walked.

When I returned to Li Mo's place, it was already late at night and the city lights were flashing warm light outside the window.

"Su Li, take a shower first. I'll go find you a new set of pajamas."

Li Mo greeted her warmly, trying to get Su Li to share her enthusiasm and stop thinking about such unhappy things.

Su Li nodded, took the towel handed to her by Li Mo, and walked into the bathroom.

The warm water washed over her body, but it couldn't wash away the complexity in her heart.

In my mind, Fu Jinzhou's slightly weathered face and the low voice "Take care of yourself" kept replaying.

Su Li's eyes were sore and swollen, and the warm water washed over her face and mixed with her tears.

When she came out of the shower, Li Mo had already washed an apple and handed it to her.

"Your name is Pear, but you love apples."

Li Mo smiled and sat down opposite her.

"Lizi, if our editor-in-chief praises your manuscript, then it must be correct."

Li Mo spoke softly and started talking about business.

She introduced the publishing process in detail and the various things that need to be paid attention to.

Su Li listened carefully and asked her own questions from time to time.

Li Mo answered all the questions patiently, professionally and meticulously.

The two chatted for a long time, but didn't mention anything about their relationship.

Su Li has been with Li Mo for several years and rarely mentioned Ashan. Now it is Li Mo's turn and she does the same.

They understand each other and know that some things cannot be solved by just a few words of comfort, and the wounds need to heal slowly on their own.

It was late at night and Li Mo had already fallen asleep on the bed.

Su Li listened to the ticking of the clock in the room and had no desire to sleep.

She walked out onto the balcony and opened the window.

The cool night breeze blew towards me, carrying with it a faint scent of flowers.

She looked up at the deep night sky. Her mind was clearly empty, yet she was unusually clear.

When she lowered her eyes, her gaze was fixed on the downstairs.

A familiar figure stood under the street light, with a hint of scarlet between his fingers.

The dim light stretched his shadow very long, making him look particularly lonely.

Su Li's heart began to beat violently.

She didn't know how long the man had been standing there, nor did she know why he appeared there.

Fu Jinzhou seemed to feel her gaze and slowly raised his head.

The two people's eyes met in the night sky.

Because of the distance, Su Li couldn't see his expression clearly.

She opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but found that her throat was choked and no sound came out.

In the end, she just smiled at him, a relieved and blessing smile.

Then, she smiled in a voice that Fu Jinzhou could hear, "Fu Jinzhou, you must be happy!"

The voice echoed in the silent night sky, clear and firm.

Fu Jinzhou's body shook slightly, and the cigarette in his hand slipped quietly.

After a long moment, he nodded slowly without saying anything.

He turned around, took heavy steps, and disappeared into the night.

Su Li stood on the balcony and didn't look away until his figure completely disappeared.

Tears fell silently.

The night wind gently caressed her face, drying the tears on it.

The next afternoon, Li Mo reluctantly sent Su Li to the station.

"Lizi, I really miss you."

Li Mo took Su Li's arm and acted coquettishly.

Su Li teased her, "I'm not used to you suddenly being so fussy!"

"Two days is too short. Apart from being on the road, you only stayed with me for one day."

"Summer vacation is coming soon. If there are any problems with the manuscript, I will definitely have to come again. I will stay a few more days and spend more time with you."

Li Mo instantly brightened up when Su Li said this, "Less than a month, that's great, you keep your word."

The two chatted and laughed as they went downstairs, where they saw Kang Ping and others standing on the side of the road.

"Sister Su, long time no see."

Kang Ping went up to take the things in Su Li's hand, including the clothes she bought for her family and the toys for her little nephew.

"It's not heavy. I can carry it."

Li Mo asked knowingly, "Why are you here?"

Kang Ping scratched his head and thought for a moment, "I heard from Brother Xu that Teacher Su came to the provincial capital, so I thought he must be looking for you, so I came to see him."

Li Mo raised her eyelids, "So you've always known I live here?"

Kang Ping couldn't lie, and fearing exposure, he quickly changed the subject, "Sister Su, I need to go back to Pingjiang to get some documents for Brother Fu. Can you come with me?"

He raised his hand and pointed at a car not far away. "I drive steadily. It's more comfortable than a bus."

Li Mo glanced at Su Li, and they both understood each other tacitly.

"It's quite convenient for me to take the bus. I won't bother you."

"It's hot, the bus is crowded, and the smell is strong. You should come with me."

Kang Ping chuckled, took Su Li's things and walked towards the car.

"He said it was on his way, which is great. Besides, you know his temper, and it's rare that he still has the heart to do it. Let's go."

Li Mo's words seemed to be talking about Kang Ping, but also about someone.

Su Li knew she couldn't resist, so she said goodbye to Li Mo and got into the car.

The car drove out of the yard where Li Mo lived. Kang Ping saw Fu Jinzhou hiding nearby through the rearview mirror.

Fu Jinzhou silently watched the car go farther and farther away, secretly clenching his fists.

The sedan is indeed more comfortable than the bus. After getting on the bus, Su Li looked at the bustling streets outside the window and felt uneasy.

What Kang Ping said about being on the way was definitely not a coincidence. No matter what Fu Jinzhou's purpose was, doing this made Su Li feel burdened.

Kang Ping glanced at Su Li and saw that she was staring out the window without saying anything, so he made small talk.

"Sister Su, please stay a few more days next time. There are many fun places in the provincial capital."

Su Li smiled and said, "Well, I'll come back and play for a few more days if I have the chance."

There was another silence.

Kang Ping has always been with Fu Jinzhou and knows something about their affairs, but Fu Jinzhou doesn't let him say anything, so he doesn't know what to say.

I could only watch the two of them anxiously.

Last night he saw Fu Jinzhou arrive home at two in the morning and asked him to drive early in the morning. He was so scared that he thought something had happened.

It was not until I drove the car back that I realized Su Li had arrived. I drove to pick her up.

After much deliberation, Kang Ping said, "Sister Su, Brother Fu is very busy right now. He rarely rests. He's going to inspect a nearby state-owned enterprise next week. That factory has been making losses and is a mess. His family says Brother Fu is too self-righteous to take on such a hot potato. No one has dared to take it on over the years."

Although Su Li didn't understand the ins and outs of this, she knew how difficult it was to turn a company from loss to profit.

"Maybe he has his own ideas. Like a newborn calf fearless of a tiger, maybe he can do it."

Su Li said this, but she was not sure in her heart.

Kang Ping wanted to say something, but didn't know where to start. Apart from a few brief chats along the way, neither of them said anything else.

Su Danian felt that the time was about right, so he waited at the door.

I was stunned for a moment when I saw the car stopped in front of my house.

He didn't stand up until he saw Su Li getting out of the car.

"Why are you in a car?"
