"Your name."
Liang Meng frowned at Yue'er. Is this child okay? It was just a chance encounter.
Ignoring her, Liang Meng turned around and continued walking forward.
What the hell is this place? There's not a single house or person in sight. Uh... this one behind me doesn't count.
The footsteps behind her followed closely, she went fast if Liang Meng was fast, and slow if Liang Meng was slow.
A thin layer of sweat formed on his back as he walked straight ahead. The spots where he'd been pricked by the cacti stabbed him felt a stinging pain. Yet, Yue'er still followed him, doggedly.
Liang Meng bit her back teeth hard to avoid losing control and slapping the child who had been following her away.
After walking a little further, the scorching sun had obviously shifted a lot, but there was still no sight of any houses or people.
It's hot and painful. Liang Meng clenched his fists in frustration, turned around, and asked in a rough voice.
"Why are you following me?"
"Yue'er."
"ha?"
"My name."
Damn, where did this come from? Could you please ask some passing god to take her away quickly?
"If you follow me again, I will be rude to you."
Liang Meng glared angrily and threatened with gnashing teeth. Frustrated, he discovered that the child had been smiling from beginning to end.
"Yue'er."
The moon is very persistent!
He lowered his head and took a few deep breaths. Then he forced a very stiff smile and was completely convinced.
"Okay, Yue'er. Why are you following me all this time?"
"What's your name?"
"Liang Meng. My name is Liang Meng."
Liang Meng was defeated by her and answered every question. She just hoped that the child would go back to where he came from as soon as possible.
I still have a lot of important things to do.
No time to chat with her here.
"Liang Meng, Liang Meng."
Yue'er tilted her head, blinking her eyes, looking too cute and adorable.
He chewed Liang Meng's name over and over in his mouth.
"Yue'er?"
Liang Meng interrupted Yue'er's sweet whispers with a fake smile.
Since Yue'er is the only one who can speak after such a long time, I might as well ask her.
Although this moon looks like a fool.
"Liang Meng." Yue'er looked at Liang Meng with joy in her eyes.
"Does Yue'er know about the Tomb City?"
"Know."
Yue'er nodded without hesitation, which made Liang Meng's eyes light up.
"You know? Where is the cemetery?"
Yue'er was about to speak when she suddenly thought of something. She frowned slightly, took a step back and shook her head.
"Yue'er, can you tell me if you know?" Liang Meng asked for the answer as gently as possible.
Yue'er just shook her head firmly.
Liang Meng's patience ran out, and the fake gentle smile on her face fell away. The muscles in her cheeks were stiff and painful.
Ignoring the moon, I turned and tried to leave again, but the moon grabbed my sleeve.
Liang Meng said nothing, staring at her with a gloomy expression. Finally, the smile in Yue'er's eyes disappeared. But the little hand that was pulling at her sleeve did not let go.
"Go...go to Yue'er's house."
He lowered his head and timidly expressed his wish. Liang Meng originally wanted to pull back his sleeves and turn around and leave without saying a word.
But when he saw Yue'er's trembling eyelashes and the hairpin swaying gently on her head, Liang Meng's anger did not flare up.
The two confronted each other for a long time, and finally, Liang Mengren sighed.
He lowered his head, looked at the cute whorls in Yue'er's black hair and asked in a low voice.
"Yue'er wants me to go to your house, right?"
The little head drooped and nodded. Liang Meng couldn't help but smiled with her lips pursed.
"But I have something important to do right now. Can I go find Yue'er after I'm done?"
The tone is like coaxing a child.
Not understanding the perfunctory tone in Liang Meng's words, he raised his little head, a smile appearing between his eyebrows again.
"real?"
"Really." Liang Meng nodded.
"Yeah." The little head nodded vigorously.
"Then..." Liang Meng tried to get an answer again.
"Can Yue'er tell me where the cemetery is now?"
Yue'er didn't say anything, but just stretched out a white finger and pointed in the direction behind Liang Meng.
"Over there?" Liang Meng pointed to confirm.
"kindness."
Looking at the endless journey that she had walked with great difficulty, Liang Meng really wanted to cry.
Damn, can you please stop teasing me like this? You should have told me earlier that you were going the wrong way. Are you trying to tire me out?
Before Liang Meng could vent his grief and anger, Yue'er looked up at the shifting sunlight and tugged at Liang Meng's sleeve again.
"Liang Meng, I'm leaving."
"If you want to find me, go there." As he said that, he turned around and pointed in the completely opposite direction of the Tomb City.
Only after Liang Meng nodded affirmatively did Yue'er let go of Liang Meng's sleeve.
Then, Yue'er turned around and walked away neatly. Liang Meng stared at her graceful back as she left without saying goodbye. Her slightly swaying green gauze skirt added a touch of beauty to the dim sky and earth.
After Yue'er's figure completely disappeared, Liang Meng clenched his fists, raised his head and roared with all his might to vent his dissatisfaction and indignation.
Then he shook his head, turned around and strode back along the same route he had just taken.
After much difficulty, I finally arrived at the cemetery before dying of exhaustion.
By the way, why doesn’t this awesome spiritual power have functions like traveling a thousand miles in one step or teleporting instantly?
When the towering city wall appeared before her eyes, Liang Meng almost couldn't hold back her tears.
It’s too difficult! She is really too difficult!
His legs, which had long been tired and numb, were given some strength by the city gate right in front of him, and he slowly moved towards the city gate.
