Chapter 10: Supplies and Commissions

Chapter 10 Supplies and Commissions (Page 1/2)

After confirming the target, Frank did not waste time.

Instead, under the vigilant gaze of many refugees, he walked to a somewhat shabby wooden house in the village, knocked politely on the door, and shouted:

"Excuse me, Mr. Andrew, can you please open the door?"

"I want to buy some supplies?"

After hearing Frank's call, there was no sound in the room immediately. After a few seconds, the wooden door was pushed open, and two strong men in linen gowns walked out of the house, followed by a middle-aged man in more decent clothes.

After the two sides met, the middle-aged man first looked at Frank outside the door carefully, and then asked with a somewhat vigilant expression:

"Sir, who are you? I don't seem to have seen you before?"

"Why do you know my name?"

Frank smiled, trying to make his expression as friendly as possible, then said:

"Mr. Andrew, I am a mercenary. I just joined this refugee team today, and I am ready to go north with you." "

The journey is long, and I don't have enough supplies, so I hope to buy some from you."

Frank's tone was quite sincere, but the middle-aged businessman named Andrew just touched his beard, pondered for a few seconds, and said with a serious expression:

"I'm sorry, Mr. Mercenary."

"We are all on the run now, and any supplies are very precious."

"At this moment, I am not a businessman, but just a husband who protects his wife and children."

"Although we have some supplies, my family and friends need them, so I don't plan to sell them to others."

"Although I understand your needs, I'm sorry, I also have to consider my family."

After saying that, the middle-aged businessman whispered a few words to a sturdy servant beside him. After he went into the house and took out a package, he handed the package to Frank and said:

"However, when we are out, we all need to help each other."

"Here are some bread. It's my gift to you. I hope you can arrive in the north safely."

Although he was rejected, the businessman Andrew behaved quite politely and for a very legitimate reason. He gave a gift, which made Frank unable to find a reason to refute him.

However, he really needed some supplies now, so he did not give up, but persuaded again:

"I cannot refute your reason, Mr. Andrew."

"But, as you can see, I am a mercenary, and I have quite good combat power."

"You have just escaped from the butcher's knife of Nilfgaard, and the road to the north is still very long, and the journey along the way is also very dangerous."

"As you said, when you are away from home, everyone needs to help each other."

"If you can help me, I will definitely lend a hand when you are in danger."

"So, please think about it again, what I need is not food, but some materials that can enhance my strength."

"I am willing to pay a high price."

After listening to Frank's persuasion, the expression of the businessman Andrew immediately fell into entanglement.

As a businessman, he knows very well the principle of making money with harmony. He was willing to give some precious food to Frank for free just now, because he didn't want to provoke this mercenary who looked difficult to provoke.

However, after listening to Frank's advice, Andrew also thought it made sense. Now that everyone is on the run, if there is a real mercenary who knows how to fight with him, he and his family will be safer.

Otherwise, the more supplies and materials you have, the easier it is for others to covet them, and there may even be a risk of being robbed of money and killed.
