Chapter 12 Princess

Chapter 12 Princess (Page 1/2)

Puff, puff, snap, snap!

Half an hour later, Frank resisted the urge to cover his nose and endured the stench. He shook off the bloodstained dagger in his hand, and then collected the water ghost brains, monster materials, and used crossbow arrows he had collected.

Overall, the harvest was not bad. When he returned to the camp and bought the necessary supplies from Andrew, the collected water ghost brains should be able to refine a lot of swallow potions for him, and the used crossbow arrows can be used again after cleaning.

It's a pity that there are no mutagens in the bodies of these water ghosts, not even the smallest ones.

Otherwise, it would be possible to make a small profit. After all, mutagens are quite rare. There is a certain probability that any monster will produce this material in its body. It has a wide range of uses and is a very scarce consumable for demon hunters and warlocks.

After packing up the spoils, Frank was about to return to the camp when his ears moved suddenly and he heard some subtle movements. He looked in a direction in the woods following the sound.

A short figure flashed by and quickly hid behind a big tree.

However, although it was only a moment, Frank still saw that the figure was a little girl who was only about 1.2 meters tall.

He stood up and thought for a few seconds, then sighed and walked in that direction.

Although he was not a good person, the moral sense of an adult still did not allow him to leave a little girl alone in the forest.

"Hey! Little ghost, stop hiding!"

"I saw you!"

"Don't worry, I'm not a bad person, I won't hurt you!"

Frank approached and shouted, trying not to show any sense of danger.

However, the child hiding behind the tree seemed to lack trust in strangers. Although his shouting made her move a little, she seemed to have not made up her mind to take the initiative to stand out.

Frank walked around the big tree and walked to a position about three or four meters away from the girl. He did not move forward, but looked at the girl.

She was about ten years old, with long gray hair, a dirty face, and a thin body. It was hard to tell what she looked like. The clothes on her body had lost their original color due to the dirt and dust. After seeing the stranger, the girl subconsciously took a step back and trembled slightly.

Just by looking at her casually, Frank judged that she should be a war refugee, and she should not be a civilian.

Although the original color of her clothes could not be seen, judging from the decoration and shape, they were not ordinary linen materials, which ordinary civilians could not afford.

Although the girl's face was a little dirty, if you look closely, you can still tell that her skin is quite delicate. Obviously, she was raised by someone who took care of her since she was a child.

Frank touched his chin and continued to guess that the little girl should have stayed in the woods for several days, and there was no adult to take care of her. Maybe the sound of the fight with the water ghost just now attracted her. Now think about it, she must be starving.

So, the witcher squatted down, looked at the little girl at eye level, smiled, took out a chicken leg wrapped in oilcloth from his pocket, handed it to the little girl, and said with a smile:

"Come on, kid, this chicken leg is for you to eat. Come with me, I will take you to a safe place and leave this forest."

Frank saw the little girl swallowing her saliva greedily, but she did not reach out to take the fragrant chicken leg. Instead, she looked up at Frank's eyes, raised her legs and took a few steps closer, and suddenly asked in a hoarse voice:

"Your eyes are very similar to someone I know."

"Do you know Geralt? He is a witcher."

Hearing the little girl's question, Frank blinked in surprise.
