Chapter 68 Arrogant Nilfgaardians (Please recommend and vote for me) (Page 1/2)
Cold and shaking.
The feeling of passing through the portal was like entering a washing machine. Frank felt that his internal organs were displaced.
Fortunately, this feeling only lasted for a few seconds. When he walked out of the portal with an ugly face, he immediately found that he and others were standing in the center of a destroyed town.
In addition to Roche and others, there were already many strangers waiting there. They were wearing Redanian military uniforms, probably Redanian soldiers.
Frank nodded to Roche and others, then made way for the portal and observed the surroundings with caution.
This was probably a town that had been looted and massacred by the Nilfgaardians. Most of the buildings had long been engulfed by flames, leaving only some black ruins after being burned.
The whole town was very quiet. No living people could be seen. There were only a few rotten corpses in rags hanging on the gallows. The stench of decay entered everyone's nose from time to time.
After more than ten seconds, Margarita, Triss and Melissa all walked out of the portal one after another.
Seeing the scenery in front of them, the expressions of several people were not very good, and they were obviously angry about the atrocities of Nilfgaard.
Facing the butcher knife of Nilfgaard, most of the defeated Cintra generally had only two fates. Either they became slaves and were sold to the southern empire as miners and serfs, working until death, or they became a corpse and were hanged on the gallows for not obeying the management of Nilfgaard.
The prosperity of the golden city, the magnificent capital of the Nilfgaard Empire, was built on the corpses of a large number of slaves.
Margarita looked at a group of soldiers in Redanian uniforms in the distance, and whispered to Frank and Triss,
"This is Nar Town, I've been here before."
"Their orange wine tastes great, and they also make a special kind of stone jewelry."
"It's a pity that this town has been destroyed now, and no one knows how many of the original townspeople can survive."
After Margarita made some emotional remarks, a deep voice interrupted from the side.
"The Kingdom of Cintra refused the help of the Brotherhood of Warlocks many years ago, and also refused to allow the warlocks to join their royal council. That's why it was destroyed by Nilfgaard silently, and no news came out."
"By the time we got the news, the matter had already been decided."
"I heard that there is a princess in the royal family of Cintra named Cirilla, and there is information that she is still alive."
"If we find that princess, maybe we will have a chance to get something from the Nilfgaardians."
The speaker was a beautiful woman in a lace dress and two black braids. She walked out of the Redania camp and was obviously an important figure in the Kingdom of Redania.
After seeing her, Triss asked:
"Lady Philippa, besides you, are there any other people here?"
"Will the Kingdom of Kaedwen and the Kingdom of Aedirn send anyone?"
The sorceress Philippa was silent for a few seconds, then shook her head and said:
"No, they will not participate in this meeting, nor will they send anyone."
"Although Vizimir II has written to King Henselt and King Demawi, both of them do not care about the demise of Cintra, and are still arguing over the territorial issues of both sides." "For
this meeting, only your Kingdom of Temeria responded to Vizimir II's proposal, and Principal Margarita was also sent by Lady Tissaia as a witness." The
northern countries obviously have different views on the issue of Cintra's demise, and have not yet realized the seriousness of the problem. When facing a behemoth like the Nilfgaard Empire, they still have their own ulterior motives and act on their own, and have not taken it seriously.
