"Bang!"
"You might as well fall down to the eighteenth floor."

"Bang!"

Zero was numb from all the falls, not a single one of the eighteen floors had fallen.

What was meant as a muttered complaint turned into a soft chuckle:

"Who? Who's speaking? Stop playing tricks and come out right now."
"It's no fun just coming out like this. How about we play a game?"
"I don't have time to play games, I need to go out."

The voice lingered and echoed in Zero's ears, carrying a hint of playfulness.

Ling unconsciously walked towards the door and eventually stopped in front of it.
And then, that voice rang out again, tinged with a triumphant smile:
"Opening the door means you've agreed to play games with me, so you can't back out now!"
Zero exhaled deeply.
He seems to have no choice now; this door must be opened!
As for what might be hidden behind that door, he had no idea.
