At this moment, Zhang Funan slowly walked out of the entrance to the desert. Seeing that we were all there, he lowered his head and walked towards us. We stood there helplessly watching him. Zhang Funan said softly, "I'm sorry, I just heard someone coming and subconsciously ran into the desert."
No one answered him, so he lowered his head even further. Seeing this, he didn't want to say anything more and could only return to the safe house to take shelter from the rain.

When Ji Lin'an and the others saw me take several steps back, they immediately ran over. When Dai Qiang saw that there were many of us, he chickened out, holding a dagger and pouting, his eyes filled with fear and dread.
Zhang Funan stepped forward and snatched the item from Dai Qiang's hand, then viciously kicked Dai Qiang, who instantly sat down on the toilet with tears in his eyes.
Ji Lin'an said coldly, "Are you going to say it voluntarily, or are we making you say it?"
Dai Qiang took a breath: "There's nothing to say. Just kill me if you want. Either way, we're all going to die."
An Xin snorted coldly: "You do have quite a backbone."
Dai Qiang forced back his tears and leaned tightly against the toilet seat. Ji Lin'an took a few steps forward: "Was it the ones you encountered when you were chasing Li Song that day?"
Dai Qiang swallowed nervously, his eyes showing some emotion as he looked at Ji Lin'an, who hadn't gotten angry. Seeing that Dai Qiang didn't answer, Ji Lin'an said, "We believe we've never treated you unfairly, and we'll protect you when we're in danger. Tell me why?"
Dai Qiang lowered his head and sobbed, "You are protecting us, but that means we are useless. We will die sooner or later. Both sides are strong. When we met them that day, they only said that if we teamed up with them, they would spare our lives. We also wanted to live a little longer."
I asked in confusion, "You and Li Song both encountered them, so why were you the only one left behind?"
Dai Qiang said, "At that time, they were only short one person, and they had to choose between me and Li Song. Li Song himself offered to come back as a spy, so they let him go. I thought he was just trying to save his life."
Ji Lin'an and I exchanged a glance. Ji Lin'an was about to kill him when I had a sudden idea: "Don't kill him yet. If he's not dead, they won't be able to close the barrier gate today because they don't have enough people. Maybe we can launch a surprise attack on them."
Ji Lin'an thought for a moment, smiled and nodded, then stepped forward and searched Dai Qiang's body to take out his phone. Zhang Funan took out a rope from somewhere and took the initiative to tie Dai Qiang up.
Chen Hu's surgery was over. I went to his bedside to wait for him to come out. Song Yi followed me to his bedside. Chen Hu was still unconscious after emerging from the spatial dimension. Ji Lin'an helped me place Chen Hu on the bed. Song Yi looked at Chen Hu on the bed and said, "Sister, actually..."

Ji Lin'an smiled reassuringly and said, "Perhaps he's doing this to repay the debt of saving your life."
A strange feeling crept into my heart. When danger came, Zhang Funan, whom I had spent every day with, chose to hide, but this man I had only met a few times saved me.
With half an hour left before the barrier closed, I took out some rice from my space and Song Yi cooked some porridge for Wei Bin. After drinking the porridge, Wei Bin regained some energy. Chen Hu woke up, but the wound was too large, and he had to be stitched up so he couldn't get up for the time being.
To make up for his mistake, Zhang Funan activated his skill and kept watch over the surrounding area. He didn't see anyone. Ji Lin'an and the others had taken turns using their skills but hadn't seen anyone come. This suggested that there might be hidden fruits inside the maze. Activating the skill was just to give Zhang Funan something to do so that he wouldn't have to sit there and endure everyone's dissatisfaction.
The countdown to the barrier's closure had ended, but the barrier still hadn't closed. Ji Lin'an anxiously went to the barrier entrance to check the situation, but there was nothing wrong. Our numbers had also expired. Ji Lin'an went to the floating bridge to check on Li Song and confirmed that he had passed away. Helpless, he could only call out to Xiao Bing: "Xiao Bing, why can't the barrier close?"
"Master, Master, an unmatched person has been detected inside the safe house, so the barrier cannot be closed."
Ji Lin'an frowned and looked towards the bathroom, then asked, "Will the barrier automatically close after the unmatched personnel leave?"

Ji Lin breathed a sigh of relief and went to the bathroom to drag Dai Qiang out: "Sorry, brother, I have no choice but to get rid of you."
