Chapter 17 He's really hard to kill

I zoomed out of the surveillance camera and switched to a four-view setup, showing the living room, master bedroom, soundproof room, and the room with the "all-seeing eye." The "protection shield" entered the master bedroom, searched for a while, and then went into the bathroom. It was a blind spot for the camera, so I couldn't see what it was doing. It took a while before it came out and went straight out of the master bedroom.

The resource converter entered Horizon's room and, after careful selection, chose a piece of clothing that Horizon looked like it had been worn for a while. He then placed the tracker in the corner of the inside pocket. He had a good eye for detail; if we hadn't changed into protective suits, Horizon would have been wearing that same garment. After wandering around for a while, the resource converter found a book under Horizon's pillow. He removed the cover, scraped off a section of paper from the end of the pages with a knife, inserted the tracker, and then glued the cover back on.

Looking at the lucky woman, she entered the soundproof room, looked around, picked up a handful of snail rice noodles, gently cut it open from the bottom with a knife and put it into the tracker, then used a lighter to lightly cut the edge of the opening and pinched it with her hand. She then picked up a pack of sanitary napkins and put another tracker in the same way.

After the three men finished placing the tracker and the bugging device, they returned to the living room and said together, "Boss, it's all done."

The leader nodded: "Let's go."

After watching the group descend the ropes, we breathed a sigh of relief. As they drove off, I finally put down my computer, ignored the unfinished cement floor of Building 5, and lay down to rest.

I rubbed my eyes with both hands: "This is really tiring. I'm not even this tired from watching a movie. My eyes are practically blind from staring."

Ji Lin'an looked at me with concern: "Close your eyes and rest for a while. Don't lie on the ground. Come and lean on my shoulder."

I opened my eyes and saw Ji Lin'an reaching out to pull me. I took the opportunity to get up and lean on his shoulder, continuing to close my eyes and rest. Ji Lin'an continued, "These people are very clever. They are skilled at planting tracking devices. If we hadn't installed surveillance cameras and hadn't seen the installation process, it would have been difficult for us to find where they were. Fortunately, we installed pinhole cameras, otherwise they would have easily discovered us."

I closed my eyes and said, "Yeah, look at that thing they used to go upstairs, it's so high-tech. I thought this kind of thing only existed in movies. And that device for cracking the combination lock is also very advanced. It seems that they are the real pros, while we are still newbies in the beginner village."

With his eyes wide open, Qianliyan put down his phone and asked curiously, "What did you all see?"

I continued speaking with my eyes closed: "You can watch the surveillance footage yourself when it's safe."

Clairvoyant was getting impatient: "Can't you just tell me directly?"

I said firmly, "No, it's too complicated, I'm tired."

Qianliyan pursed his lips and asked Ji Lin'an, "Did you see any useful information?"

Thousand-Mile Eyes shook his head: "I didn't see anything, just zombies everywhere."

I sighed: "Life is getting harder and harder. I thought I had the female lead's script and could start my amazing life, but now I feel more and more like I'm just a scrap and could be killed off at any time."

With his body limp and head tilted to the side, Qianliyan said, "Stop complaining. We don't even know where we'll stay tonight. I'm so sleepy and hungry."

Ji Lin'an patted my arm reassuringly: "Let's rest here. I'll conjure up a few blankets from my treasure chest later, and we'll make do with them. We definitely can't stay in that house anymore. Fortunately, we don't have many supplies. Given the situation these days, we can't stay in one place for long. In the future, we should put our essential items in Su Su's space so that we can escape and change places at any time."

I opened my eyes and looked around at the terrible surroundings: "But what about the power supply?"

Ji Lin'an lowered his head and said gently, "I'll take out a few more portable solar generators from the treasure chest. After we find a new shelter, we can fill them up with electricity and put them in your mobile space. We'll go to the computer mall and find three computers with long standby times and that are lightweight. From now on, we can carry the computers with us."

Qianliyan lay down on the ground, ignoring the thick layer of dust: "Liu Jia and I lived in constant fear before. We've only had a few days of peace before we have to start wandering again. But I'll be content if I can have a few days of peace and a few good nights to sleep."

I sat up and patted Thousand-Mile Eyes on the shoulder: "Keep it up, bro, the future is even more exciting."
