Just as we were finishing our plan, the surveillance footage changed. Zhu Chen went up from the basement to the first floor, quietly walked to the corner of the stairs leading to the second floor, stopped, and pricked up his ears to listen. We immediately fell silent. Seeing no movement, Zhu Chen slowly went upstairs, stopped at the door of the "Thousand-Mile Eye" (a security camera), pressed his ear to the door and listened for a while. Still no sound, he tiptoed to our door and pressed his ear to listen. I nudged Ji Lin'an with my elbow and made a pig-nose face. The "Thousand-Mile Eye" looked at me with a confused expression. Ji Lin'an understood and laughed, pinched his nose and started pretending to snore softly. The "Thousand-Mile Eye" gave us a thumbs up with an incredulous expression.
Zhu Chen lay by the door for two or three minutes, making sure we were asleep. Then, he pulled a knife from inside his clothes and prepared to open the door. I immediately realized the door wasn't locked. I quickly gestured for Qianliyan to hide, and I rushed to the door, pretending to be sleepy and yawning as I opened the bedroom door. Zhu Chen was startled by my sudden opening and took a few steps back, hiding the knife behind his back. I rubbed my eyes, looked up, and feigned a look of horror as if I had just seen Zhu Chen, exclaiming, "Oh my god, you scared me to death! Why are you standing at the door?"
Zhu Chen, sweating profusely, swallowed hard. "I wanted to ask where I can get some water? I finished the bottles of water you gave me last night."
I remained calm and said, "Oh, the water is in my space. I'll get it for you."
Just as I was about to enter the space, I suddenly remembered that Zhu Chen was holding a knife. If I entered the space now, Zhu Chen might think that Ji Lin was asleep, and I would be in danger. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that his hand holding the knife was still hidden behind his back, so I immediately changed the subject: "Hey, what are you hiding in your hand?"
Upon hearing this, Zhu Chen looked somewhat flustered, but pretended to be calm and said, "It's nothing."
Seeing my disbelieving look, Zhu Chen pretended to stretch his arms, then stretched his hand back and opened his palm to me: "Look, there's nothing there. I just have a slightly sore shoulder and I'm stretching my arms behind my back."
I noticed that Zhu Chen didn't have a knife in his hand, so he must have just hidden it in his waistband and covered it with his clothes. I didn't want to expose him, so I pretended to be nonchalant and walked to the living room to sit down: "I thought you had prepared some kind of surprise for me."
Zhu Chen followed and sat down, awkwardly touching her hair: "What kind of surprise could there be? Shouldn't Ji Lin'an be the one preparing the surprise for you?"
I gave a cold laugh. Just then, Ji Lin'an came out of the room, squinted, and walked over: "What happened? I just heard you scream."
I waved my hand and said, "It's nothing. Zhu Chen came to ask us for water. I was startled when I ran into him as soon as I opened the door."
Ji Lin'an came out just in time. Since it was just Zhu Chen and me, I didn't dare go into my space to get him water. As soon as Ji Lin'an sat down next to me, I immediately went into my space to get Zhu Chen a 5L bottle of mineral water. But when I was about to leave the space, I thought that if Zhu Chen drank it in the next day or two, the water would be wasted. So I put the water back and took two small bottles of mineral water. I handed them to Zhu Chen as I left the space: "Here, drink this first. If you need more, just ask me. We don't have many supplies right now, so we should conserve them."
Zhu Chen awkwardly took the water, forcing a smile: "Thank you."
I glanced at the bedroom. Qianliyan was still hiding there. Zhu Chen drank some water but showed no sign of going back to his room. Ji Lin'an turned to look at me and then back at Zhu Chen: "Aren't you resting? Why don't you go back to your room and rest? We have another operation later."
Zhu Chen was stunned: "Operation? What operation?"
I glanced away somewhat uncomfortably, perhaps because I knew the details of the plan and felt a little guilty. Ji Lin'an said, "You should go and rest for a while about the mysterious organization's operation. I'll talk to you two about it later when Qianliyan wakes up."
Zhu Chen's eyes darted around, he got up, greeted everyone, and went downstairs. I stood by the living room railing to confirm that Zhu Chen had gone down to the basement, then went back to my room and called out to Qianliyan: "Come out, Zhu Chen has gone back."
Qianliyan then came out of the bathroom: "I was so horny! I can usually sit on the toilet for half an hour, but there's nothing to do here. It's really suffocating to be in the bathroom like this."
Seeing my flustered state, Qianliyan immediately made a shushing gesture: "Zhu Chen might still be hiding somewhere listening. Keep your voice down and go back to your room first."
Qianliyan covered his mouth with an apologetic expression and quietly returned to his room. An hour later, Ji Lin'an gathered everyone in the living room. Qianliyan stretched and came out of his room, looking like he had really taken a nap. In contrast, Zhu Chen looked tired and oily, with dark circles under his eyes that almost reached his nose.
We found seats and sat down. Ji Lin'an sat down, slightly bent over, rested his elbows on his spread thighs, and clasped his hands together with a serious expression: "Let me explain our plan first. We will teleport to the vicinity of the mysterious organization later. After Thousand-Mile Eye confirms the location of the mysterious organization, Zhu Chen, you will use your teleportation skill to lure them out of the shelter. I will ambush them nearby. Su Su, you will teleport there to obtain their computer. Thousand-Mile Eye, you will stay where you are and observe their movements, and report back to us as soon as possible. After Zhu Chen lures them out of the shelter, find a safe place to stay, or come find me to fight them together."
After thinking for a few seconds, Zhu Chen smiled and said, "I don't have much combat experience. I'll just go back to where I am and stay with Qianliyan."
Ji Lin'an nodded: "Okay, once we get there, keep quiet and don't make a sound. The leader has the ability to hear everything, but we're not sure how far his ability can reach. We shouldn't reveal our location before we move out. Zhu Chen, you can wander around near them to distract them."
The three of us nodded, and after confirming the battle plan, we changed into protective suits and bulletproof vests. We didn't prepare any for Zhu Chen, but Ji Lin'an still took out an arm blade from the treasure chest and gave it to Zhu Chen so that the plan wouldn't be exposed.
