Two days ago, a living, breathing Zhu Chen appeared in the villa on the surveillance footage. He looked like he had been starving for a long time. As soon as he entered, he went straight to the orchard. Although we moved the orchard and no one watered it, the remaining vegetables and fruit trees were growing very well thanks to the occasional rain. After they set fire to the villa to check and confirm that we had escaped, they disappeared without a trace. I thought they had vanished. But now, seeing Zhu Chen living here alone, I can only say that he is really hard to kill. It is not easy for an ordinary person to live like this for so long.
When I looked up, I found Ji Lin'an looking at me with a complicated expression. I don't know how long he had been staring at me, but after glancing at Ji Lin'an, then at me, and then at the surveillance camera, I asked, "What kind of strange looks are you all giving me? Do you know this person?"
Neither Ji Lin'an nor I said a word, but Qianliyan suddenly laughed awkwardly: "It's not your ex-boyfriend, is it? Hahahaha."
He was grinning like an idiot. Ji Lin'an and I both looked at Qianliyan at the same time, our expressions perfectly synchronized, both wearing polite, smiling emojis. Qianliyan immediately stopped smiling when he saw our expressions and even shivered: "Could it be that I really hit the nail on the head?"
Ji Lin'an and I chose to temporarily block him out. I said, "He's really tough; he's still alive."
Ji Lin'an stared at the monitor and sneered, "As expected of the person you chose."
I immediately turned around and glared fiercely at Qianliyan, who looked terrified: "Why are you glaring at me? It wasn't me who said it, it was your man, your man said it."
I was a little distracted just now and didn't pay attention to who said that. I probably wouldn't think Ji Lin'an would say something like that. Men in love are really different.
I awkwardly coughed twice: "Ahem, so what do we do now?"
Ji Lin'an turned his head and smiled slyly, "It seems we have no choice but to kill him and make room for us. This villa is a shelter I've been looking for for a long time; the location is relatively safe."
I gasped slightly when I heard this. Was Ji Lin'an jealous for no reason?
Ji Lin'an suddenly leaned closer to me and said in a very ambiguous tone, "You won't be reluctant to part with it, will you?"
My damn survival instinct kicked in: "How could this be! Kill, kill immediately, kill right now!"
The man with the far-seeing eye looked at us with utter disdain: "You two, tone it down. There's still a living person here."
Ji Lin'an chuckled twice and sat back down: "I was just kidding. We won't kill him. He's no threat to us. We can just throw him out."
I looked at Ji Lin'an cautiously: "What if we suddenly appear next to him and then suddenly throw him out? What if others discover his presence and our whereabouts are exposed?"
Ji Lin'an smiled normally again: "If we throw him into another city, he'll have to live long enough to come back. We'll arm ourselves and act quickly so he doesn't see who we are. He should need some time to process this strange thing."
I nodded repeatedly in agreement, while Qianliyan looked on with amusement: "As expected of a love rival, she really went all out."
I turned around and said fiercely, "Shut up, or I'll throw you away too."
Qianliyan made a zipper-zipping gesture with his hand over his mouth. Ji Lin'an and I continued watching the villa's surveillance footage. We watched for almost half an hour but Zhu Chen still hadn't returned to the villa. Qianliyan had already fallen asleep on the side. I also yawned. Before I finished yawning, a figure suddenly appeared in the villa. I asked Ji Lin'an, completely bewildered, "Am I seeing things? How come I didn't see him get into the villa?"
Ji Lin'an fell silent, staring at the screen for a long time. He replayed the scene several times, even using 8x slow motion to barely make out how Zhu Chen entered the villa. I wanted to say something, but when I opened my mouth, I couldn't utter a single word. I stared blankly at Ji Lin'an, who was also speechless, his brows furrowed. Like me, he refused to believe this fact: Zhu Chen had become a teleporter!
Ji Lin'an and I remained silent, staring at each other. Just then, Qianliyan woke up, stretched, and came closer, asking in a languid tone, "So, did your ex-boyfriend go back?"
Ji Lin'an and I were already filled with inexplicable emotions when Qianliyan said something. We both turned to stare at him. Qianliyan was startled and his blurry eyes widened immediately: "What's wrong? I was just joking. You two don't have to look like you're going to eat me alive."
I rolled my eyes at Thousand-Mile Eyes: "Right now, I want to eat people, but not you."
With a mixture of fear and panic, Qianliyan asked, "What happened?"
I said coldly, "My ex-boyfriend has become a teleporter."
Thousand-Mile Eyes' eyes widened: "What?! That's so exciting? That's impossible."
I sighed: "We all thought it was impossible, but judging from the surveillance footage, he did become a Flash, but we don't know how he did it."
Ji Lin'an's eyes sharpened: "Perhaps he's not as stupid as we think. You can tell from his alliance with that group of thugs last time that he has some cunning and methods."
I pursed my lips and glanced at Ji Lin'an sideways: "Then he really can't be kept. Don't throw him out either, just get rid of him directly. Otherwise, given his nature, if the mysterious organization finds out, he'll become their lackey in no time."
Ji Lin'an nodded: "Remember when we fought the Flashman before? He was extremely fast. The only way we could kill him was by sneak attacking him."
I immediately stood up, looking eager to try: "Okay, let's go back now and ambush him."
After I finished speaking with Ji Lin'an, I got up to go over, but Qianliyan sat there looking at us with a question mark on his face: "Aren't you taking me with you?"
