Chapter 67 The Ten-Man Group

We almost forgot about the few conspicuous bags hiding in the distance. The three of them huddled together, staring blankly at us. After what seemed like an eternity, Ji Lin'an asked An Xin, "Who are they?"

An Xin then realized what was happening and waved to the three of them. The three jogged over and An Xin pointed at them, saying, "I met these three when I came out of the cave. They're in the cave next to mine. I haven't memorized their names yet."

The three men stood up straight with forced smiles, and the man on the far left pointed to himself: "My name is Dai Qiang."

The man in the middle said, "My name is Li Song."

The man on the far right then said, "My name is Zhu Dachang."

I almost choked when I heard the name, but Thousand-Mile Eyes laughed first, clutching his stomach: "What's your name? Pig Intestine? Hahahaha, Pig Intestine? Who named you that?"

Zhu Dachang laughed awkwardly, "My name is Da, meaning big and small, and Chang, meaning always smiling."

Seeing that Qianliyan was laughing so unrestrainedly, I felt it was a bit impolite and waved my hand to stop him: "Stop laughing, you're being very impolite."

The name echoed in my mind, and I couldn't help but laugh along with Thousand-Mile Eye: "Sorry, Brother Da Chang, I just couldn't resist asking who gave you that name?"

Zhu Dachang laughed and said, "My dad, my dad's name is Zhu Xiaochang. My dad's name was given by my grandfather. It means to always be smiling. But in our hometown, the word 'smile' sounds a bit off, so it was changed to 'small'. My dad felt that the word 'small' limited the joy in his life, so he named me Dachang. He probably forgot that my surname is Zhu."

I couldn't help but give Brother Dachang a thumbs up: "Uncle, you have such great writing skills."

An Xin suddenly looked us all over and counted us on his fingers: "We have exactly ten people now. Why don't we team up and go get supplies? We've been surviving on the pool water in the cave for the past three days, and we're all exhausted."

I took a closer look and realized there were exactly ten of us. However, I felt a slight disdain for the three conspicuous bags in front of me. Ji Lin'an pursed his lips and nodded: "I wonder what your skills are, An Xin? And what are the skills of these three brothers? We don't intend to form a team for the time being, but we can consider it if we find a suitable one."

An Xin looked like he understood: "I'm a little embarrassed to talk about my skills."

Thousand-Mile Eyes laughed and said, "It's alright, we've heard of all sorts of strange skills, so feel free to speak."

An Xin smiled wryly and said, "My skill is a bit uncivilized, but it can stun anyone who gets close to me for 10 seconds."

With an approving expression, the all-seeing eye said, "Not bad at all. What's there to be embarrassed about?"

An Xin awkwardly scratched the back of his head: "The way I release the skill is a bit uncivilized; I have to 'spit' at others..."

Thousand-Mile Eyes frowned: "What do you mean? You mean if you spit at someone, they'll get dizzy?"

An Xin nodded: "How about sacrificing Brother Chang and letting me demonstrate?"

Zhu Dachang walked up with a silly grin: "Come on, it's just a 10-second dizziness."

An Xin walked up to Zhu Dachang with an apologetic expression and spat forcefully at him. Zhu Dachang's eyes immediately went blank and his body began to sway. Seeing this, An Xin reached out to support Zhu Dachang: "That's how my skill works."

Ji Lin'an nodded: "It's quite effective, especially against enemies who suddenly attack at close range."

After feeling dizzy for 10 seconds, Zhu Dachang shook his head vigorously: "The aftereffects are really strong, I think I'm about to throw up."

We all laughed. Ji Lin'an turned to look at Dai Qiang, who was clutching the hem of his clothes with some difficulty: "I may not be that useful, but I will try my best not to be a burden to you."

Li Song and Zhu Dachang nodded quickly. Zhu Dachang said, "The three of us are not very skilled, but we promise not to be a burden to you, as long as you are willing to let us stay."

Ji Lin'an didn't speak, so I stepped forward and said, "Tell me what your skills are first? We can consider it."

Dai Qiang said guiltily, "My skill is to make things that are standing up fall over, like standing water glasses or standing trash cans, but it only works on things that aren't fixed in place..."

Dai Qiang's voice trailed off, and a thought flashed through my mind: "Actually, it's not entirely useless. Can you make a stone fall down? For example..."

I pointed to a large rock standing behind Dai Qiang. Dai Qiang turned around, looked at it, and said somewhat embarrassedly, "I probably can't. I haven't reached that level yet. I can only make lighter things fall." After saying that, Dai Qiang lowered his head in shame.

I gave an awkward laugh: "And what about you, Li Song?"

Li Song turned to look at Dai Qiang, chuckled awkwardly, and said, "I...I can make someone sneeze, five times in a row..."

I was speechless... I looked at Zhu Dachang, who also gave an awkward smile: "I can throw things at other people and I can hit them almost every time, but I can't throw anything bigger than my palm."

My eyes lit up: "This is great!"

I glanced at the three of them, then turned to Ji Lin'an: "What do you think?"

Ji Lin'an thought for a moment: "Actually, your skills are all quite useful, but they need to be used in combination with others. They can be used for simple self-defense, but why didn't I see you use any skills in the fight just now?"

The group looked at An Xin guiltily, and An Xin smiled and said, "Because they had just used their skills on me before we met, and the cooldown time hasn't expired yet."

I smirked and raised an eyebrow, saying, "None of those three could take you down? You could easily take them down with a single punch if you used your skills on them, so how come they had time to use their skills on you?"

An Xin shrugged: "All three of them have ranged skills, so I can't use my skills when they're far away. I was thinking of waiting for them to get closer before using them, but when they got closer, I found that they were too weak, so I didn't bother using my skills on them."
