The door to the Xu family's house is a pupil lock; only he can open the room he lives in.
When Ao Cang heard Qiao Mei's voice, he thought she was hallucinating and remained silent.
It wasn't until a second knock came from the doorway that he realized it was indeed Qiao Mei.
Her previously droopy eyes instantly lit up, and without even bothering to put on slippers, she went barefoot to open the door.
