But Lai Tan took in all of her emotional changes.
After a moment of stunned silence, he suddenly realized that the excruciating pain he was in was nothing. He wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and whispered in her ear, "Feeling sorry for me now? I knew you weren't that heartless."
Qiao Yingying was unaware of her own condition, and subconsciously retorted after hearing what he said: "Who would feel sorry for you? I'm just a little shocked that you got such a serious injury."
