This was the first time Xu Heyu had received an invitation from Qiao Mei since their reunion. By the time he got his personal terminal and saw the message, it was already 6:22 PM.
He quickly replied that he was free and asked her when he needed to visit her.
Qiao Mei had already boarded the aircraft heading back to her and Xu Huixin's home. After receiving Xu Heyu's reply, she responded to him:
[It's not certain yet. I'll contact you once I've confirmed it.]
The official enrollment date for the Federal Academy is seven days from now. Perfect timing! During this time, with Xu Hui's help, she can somehow resolve the childhood betrothal with Xu Heyu.
After replying to Xu Heyu, Qiao Mei stared blankly at the villa area right in front of her.
She vaguely remembered that the houses in this villa area weren't cheap.

The security guard confirmed Qiao Mei's identity as a homeowner and then let her in.
The villa area has excellent landscaping, with many artificially cultivated shrubs and trees planted within the villa area. Further away, there is also a luxurious fountain pool.
The location of the new home that Xu Hui gave us is in Villa No. 22. You need to go around an artificial lake and then walk along a gravel road to get there.

In the rest area by the artificial lake, a middle-aged man carrying a gift box was pacing anxiously back and forth, muttering to himself, "Wouldn't it be a bad idea to go like this?"
"But since we're already here, it shouldn't be a problem to just take a look, right?"
The man's black hair was neatly combed, and if it weren't for the electronic white-rimmed glasses he was still wearing and his voice still so gentle, Qiao Mei would hardly have recognized him.
The corridor on the artificial lake was lit up. As Qiao Mei walked from the darkness into the area illuminated by the lights, she called out uncertainly, "Dean Li?"
Hearing the voice, Li Chonghua looked up and saw the girl in the red dress. He quickly put away the conflicted expression on his face and said clumsily, "Xiao Mei, what are you doing here?"
As the dean, Li Chonghua's salary is more than double that of Xu Hui, who is only a mecha designer. His annual salary starts at millions of interstellar coins, so it's not surprising that he can afford to live in this villa area and even own a house.
In just a moment, Qiao Mei vaguely guessed some of the truth, but she didn't expose it. Instead, she smiled and told Xu Hui about moving to their new home here.
“My mother has already completed the divorce procedures with the Crown Prince, so it's no longer appropriate for her to continue living in the Seventh Palace of the Royal Family. Judging from your appearance, are you also staying here, or are you going to see someone?”
Li Chonghua noticed Qiao Mei looking at the gift box he had placed on the chair. After picking it up, he gritted his teeth and said:
"Here's the thing, I live in this villa area. This gift box was originally meant for a friend, but unfortunately, that friend had to go on a business trip. Luckily, I met you here, and you just happened to be moving, so this is a gift for you to celebrate your housewarming."
Qiao Mei pretended not to notice the shifty look in Li Chonghua's eyes as he spoke, reached out and took the gift box, a sweet smile appearing on her bright face: "Sure, but won't you come in and sit with me for a bit?"
Li Chonghua waved his hand: "No, no, didn't I say before that I would help you develop an energy source to heal your little black dragon's body? It's already more than halfway done, and I estimate that we'll have the results in about ten days. I need to hurry back and work on it as soon as possible!"
After saying that, Li Chonghua left as if fleeing, which made Qiao Mei shake her head and sigh inwardly.
"Tsk, if you want to see it, just go in and take a look. What's there to be embarrassed about?"
Ao Cang didn't quite understand what she meant, so when Qiao Mei led him toward Villa No. 22, he asked her why she said that.
Qiao Mei looked down at the dragon's body wrapped around her neck. Without replying to him first, she said, "I'll tell you when we get home." Then she lowered her head and rubbed against his dragon head, sighing inwardly.
Fortunately, she wasn't as awkward and indecisive as Li Chonghua; otherwise, she probably wouldn't even be able to touch Ao Cang's dragon body.
"Ding-dong..."
"You're here, isn't that Xiaomei? Come in and take a look, what do you think of the new furniture Mom bought?"
Xu Hui opened the door, her long, curly hair, just like Qiao Mei's, was clipped back with a shark clip. Her eyes were full of smiles, a stark contrast to the one Qiao Mei had seen before, who was always lost in thought and rarely smiled.
“Okay, this is a gift that Dean Li asked me to bring back. He said it was to congratulate us on moving to our new home. He also lives in this villa area.”
As Qiao Mei spoke, she changed into the slippers that Xu Hui had brought from the Seventh Palace and handed the gift box to Xu Hui.
Xu Hui was a little surprised and said unexpectedly, "He's here too? What a coincidence."
"Well, Mother, the rent here isn't cheap, is it? Why did you decide to rent here?"
When Qiao Mei asked about this, Xu Hui put down the gift box in her hand and proudly recounted the whole process of how she obtained the property.
