The old man paced out of the storage room. Qiu stayed here for a long time and finally said goodbye to the old man. He said that he would continue to travel the world. He said that the old man in front of him was like the first signpost when the world was in chaos, so he had to stay.
Only by being calm can you calm people's hearts and calm all the excitement of the world.
But he is different.
His way is to wander and to open up new paths.
So we cannot stop. In this life, this road full of struggles and explorations will be given a light-hearted name by future generations, called "traveling around the world". When Qiu Ming met this master for the last time in his life, he understood his grand ambition.
"Do you want to create a prosperous sixty-year spring and autumn for the people?"
Qiu left this place, and later he wrote the stories that happened in these prosperous years into a classic, but named it "Spring and Autumn Annals". Zhuang Zhou personally saw Qiu off. He stood on the city wall and watched the man, who had not been destined to be with him since their first meeting, leave.
Looking at his back, he is still so determined.
Is there anyone in this world who is more persistent and determined than him?
Zhuang Zhou turned around and saw the white-haired old man.
He no longer had the state of a cultivator, and was very old. Even someone as carefree as Zhuang Zhou had a hint of sadness in his eyes, but the sadness quickly disappeared, and he continued to laugh out loud, carefree and at ease. He didn't seem to notice that this old guy had become so old.
Still treat him as usual.
When he accompanied the old man to leave here, he glanced around. In the midst of the destiny of humanity, although Zhuang Zhou's practice time was not as powerful as those old immortals, he was sharp and free. When his eyes swept around, he saw a man in the crowd and sensed a hint of Buddhist charm from him.
Zhuang Zhou raised his eyebrows slightly, picked up his sword, and was about to seek trouble with the man, but was stopped by the old master.
Zhuang Zhou said: "There must be something wrong with him."
"If you have a clear conscience, why would you want to hide the traces of your practice of Buddhism?"
"Old man, you better let go and let me catch him back!"
The old man just shook his head and said, "Let him go." His eyes were gentle and calm, as vast as the mysterious waters of the North Sea, unfathomable and bottomless. He allowed the monk to go away with incomparable ecstasy, and Zhuang Zhou did not try to stop him again.
The old man went to a village, saying that he was going to fulfill a promise.
Although Zhuang Zhou acted casual on the surface, he still prepared the carriage and horses very seriously. He put many layers of cushions inside the carriage, whipped the horse himself, and drove the carriage quickly and steadily. After he arrived, the original village had already developed into a prosperous town after several decades.
Not far away is the post station with a flat road. There are already many people coming and going. Now everyone has a certain level of cultivation. Although having cultivation does not mean being able to fight, the improvement of basic qualities will also bring about a surge in self-strength.
The steps are light and powerful. The roads that seemed too far and difficult to travel fifty or sixty years ago have now become somewhat common. No longer needing to rely on horses or carriages, roads that were difficult to cross in the past can be crossed by just walking. Traveling has become much simpler, which has also led to the prosperity of many surrounding places.
After all, the scope within which people can move freely is the scope within which they interact with each other, and exchanges between different regions often also involve commercial and cultural convergence, which is the basis of prosperity.
Zhuang Zhou took the old man and found his old friend on the roadside.
An old man named Ming.
Yes, the old man - he is clearly over fifty years old, but he does not look much younger than Qi Wuhuo at the moment. Although everyone can circulate qi now, even if one practices Taoist exercises, one needs a deep foundation of [Three Talents] to prolong one's life. Those who do not practice Taoism, or those who practice Taoism but have not practiced those exercises to prolong one's lifespan,
The innate qi has only been in existence for more than two hundred years.
The innate Qi is one in a thousand, so although human life span is long, it has never increased dramatically.
If your cultivation is not good enough, you will eventually age slowly.
as well as--
The world is complicated, with grudges, love and hatred, the eight sufferings of life, and many separations.
These sad and stressful things always make people look much older than their original state. It seemed that a long time had passed before [Ming] recognized that this old man was the benefactor who saved his life when he was born in his parents' mouth.
When you get old, it’s rare to have people you know well.
It is a great pleasure to meet such an old acquaintance at this age.
It is already an extremely gratifying thing!
So he quickly invited Qi Wuhuo and Zhuang Zhou back to his home. It was still the same courtyard, with the same layout as before, but it was different from the liveliness that Qi Wuhuo had seen back then. In this courtyard, there were no neighbors who came to help at that time, and no parents who were happy with joy on the ground when he got married.
As a result, this yard gives people a great sense of emptiness.
"Oh, there haven't been any guests for a while, so it's a bit messy. Please don't blame me, please don't blame me."
[Ming] washed the cups, then poured tea to entertain the guests. At that table, Qi Wuhuo saw him in his birth, in his youth, in his prime, and now in his old age. In [Ming]'s eyes, the old man in front of him was naturally even more decrepit.
The white-haired old man asked, "Where are your parents?"
Ming replied: "He has passed away."
"Where's your wife?"
"Eight years ago, I was ill and had a hard-to-treat illness. Although I had the Qi to protect me and lived a few more years, I still couldn't make it through the winter three years ago and passed away. My two sons got married and moved away, only coming back during the holidays. My daughter got married and is living a decent life."
The old man asked, "How do you feel about your life?"
Ming was silent for a long time, then answered, "I am a little lonely. When my parents were alive, I was busy making a living and was not able to fulfill my filial duty. We worked hard to raise our children, and when we could finally breathe a sigh of relief, my wife passed away. The children have grown up and are now living better lives than we did, but they rarely come back to see me."
"Tell me, is what I've experienced good or bad?"
He asked the old man in front of him.
The old man smiled gently, without answering, but said: "You can only answer this question when you reach the end. I am just a passer-by in your life, isn't it?" After a cup of tea, the reincarnation of Medicine Buddha, the already somewhat old [Ming], bid farewell to the guest.
The old man asked, "Where are your Buddhist beads?"
Buddhist beads?
[Ming] was in a trance for a long time, as if thinking and recalling, and then answered: "I don't remember, but I seem to have a vague impression that more than ten years ago, or more than twenty years ago, my youngest son liked to play with the Buddhist beads. Later, life gradually became too busy, he grew up, and his schoolwork became heavier."
"I don't know if I was too busy one day and just threw it on the table."
“And then, I couldn’t find it anymore.”
Qi Wuhuo said goodbye and left. Ming escorted him out and shouted, "Master, Master!"
"Seventeen years later, will you ask me again?"
The Taoist paused, turned around, and said gently, "Yes."
"If I can't come, someone else will come to see you."
"But, you have to answer that question yourself."
"What?"
[Ming] At this time, he didn't understand. He just saw a trace of gentleness and compassion in the old man's eyes under the sunlight, so he nodded seriously and said, "I will!"
Zhuang Zhou drove the carriage and took the old Taoist forward in the direction of the capital.
Along the way, Zhuang Zhou seemed to be thinking about something. He didn't say much, but was just thinking about the world situation during this period of time. After Qiu left the capital, his reputation would surely be much greater. The current Human Emperor Li Weifeng is over seventy years old. Because he is in charge of the destiny of humanity, he is also old.
Looking back on his politics throughout his life, he always had many benevolent policies and ruled with virtue, and his reputation among the people was extremely high. Everyone gradually began to praise only this benevolent king, and gradually stopped mentioning the Mighty King Li Zhai. They all said that the reputation and achievements of the Human Emperor Li Weifeng, his civil and military achievements, were all unparalleled throughout the ages and comparable to those of the ancient sage kings.
When hearing this, Master Mingxin would always sneer, just him? !
Then, the "Master Yao Ling" who always looks like a 13 or 14-year-old Taoist boy would nod and agree:
"Just him?!"
Then, the two of them would find a vent with good upwind conditions to roast chestnuts, and take out their large cattail-leaf fans to let the aroma of the roasted chestnuts follow the wind from the human world and fly into the inner palace, and then they would all clap their hands and laugh -
"He's so greedy!"
"Yes, make him hungry to death!"
The mighty King Li Zhai conquered the four directions and unified the world seventeen years ago.
He never returned to his hometown again.
The young and mighty king conquered the four directions and never returned, for the sake of the world and the human race;
And today, the world is unified, and I still won't turn back, also for the sake of this world and this human world.
A few days later, Jin Chanzi, who had been away for seventeen years, also came here. He looked gentle and peaceful, and talked to the Taoist about everything he had seen in the past seventeen years. He saw the common people, all things and everything, but he was no longer obsessed with his experiences back then, and there was peace in his eyes.
The old Taoist asked the monk: "So, what is Buddha?"
The monk wanted to say a lot. He said that all human beings are Buddhas, not because all human beings themselves are Buddhas. There are good people and bad people among human beings. But no matter what situation they are in, no matter what kind of life they have experienced, and what kind of character they have at the moment, the Buddha's heart and Buddha nature are still in their hearts.
The monk clasped his hands together.
For seventeen years, I saw the common people, for seventeen years, I saw good and evil, and for another seventeen years, I saw myself.
He smiled and asked the Taoist in front of him, "It is said that the sea of suffering has no end, and turning back is the shore."
"Fellow Daoist, what will you see when you turn around?"
The white-haired Taoist replied gently: "If a person looks back, he is looking inward."
"It is the heart that turns back, not the eyes, and what you see is yourself."
The monk laughed loudly: "Yes, the sea of suffering in this world is endless. Whether it is profit, fame, power, desire, killing, or wealth, they are all the sea of suffering. They pollute the soul and obscure the true spirit. When you look back and see yourself, you will reach the other shore."
"See me! Become a Buddha!"
The monk finally gave his answer.
It was an answer that those who had not yet attained enlightenment would consider arrogant and domineering, but those who had attained enlightenment would consider it compassionate and merciful.
See me and become a Buddha!
For the awakened one!
On this day, words finally appeared on the ninth stone tablet. It was magnificent, magnificent, and the aura flowed, turning into one word:
This text is not Buddha.
But explanation.
Because, Buddha is Buddha; Buddhism is the explanation of all enlightened principles.
Practice the Dharma, don’t worship Buddha!
The monk took back the relic that the old man had discarded thirty-four years ago, stood up, let down his sleeves, swept past, and left in a dignified and calm manner.
One of the nine schools - said: [Explanation].
Later, it evolved into two schools, gradual cultivation and sudden enlightenment.
Those who practice gradually follow the school of consciousness-only!
The Enlightened One
Just a Zen.
The last link of the various schools of thought, the three religions and the nine schools of thought has been restored, and the destiny of humanity is prosperous and perfect. Before the monk left, he asked a question. The old man did not answer, but thought about it, pointed out a location, and said:
"There is a person there. I think you two will know your answer after you two meet."
He pointed out the location of the reincarnation of Medicine Buddha.
Jin Chan looked at the white-haired old man in front of him, clasped his hands together, he was also old, and said gently:
"So."
"Daoyou, I bid you farewell in this life. Maybe we'll meet again in the next life."
The golden body of 10 feet tall, the causes and conditions are all destroyed, but he is not ignorant of cause and effect, and his mind has no increase or decrease.
Seeing the Buddha is not as good as seeing me.
It is better to worship [me] than to worship Buddha.
The old Taoist watched the monk Jinchan leave, and as he walked out of the capital, he casually crushed the Buddhist relic that had been cultivated for who knows how many years. Then the golden bead scattered light like fireworks, which attracted cheers and admiration from some children. Then he smiled and left in a carefree manner.
The old man saw his back gradually walking away.
He looked back gently, turned around and went back, no longer going to the nine stone tablets. This was originally just a very ordinary action, but for some reason, Zhuang Zhou's heart sank slightly. He looked at the old man and blurted out:
“Will you come back to tell the story?!”
The old man paused, then turned around, smiled gently, and answered him seriously:
"Yes."
"And one last time."
"My teachings have not yet been finished, why would I stop?"
Zhuang Zhou wanted to catch up with him and jokingly ask, "Old man, what are you talking about?" or pat the old man's shoulder frivolously, but at this time, he was no longer so carefree and unrestrained. He just bowed deeply to the old man who had raised and taught him for thirty-four years.
He stood up, smiled, turned around, without any nostalgia, without any lingering feelings or attachments, clapped his hands, laughed and walked into the world of mortals.
All gradually went away.
Zhuangzi, the True Man of Nanhua, the Immortal of Nanhua, the Patriarch.
His book "Zhuangzi" is also called "Nanhua Zhenjing", which is divided into "Inner Chapter", "Outer Chapter" and "Miscellaneous Chapter".
There are seven inner chapters, six of which are about cultivation.
The names are all different and others are puzzled, but Zhuang Zhou was free and easy and always liked to make some riddles to tease others with his own logic, and the titles of the inner chapters, when connected together, look like a sentence.
"Xiaoyaoyou·Part One" If the young man travels around the world with a sword, he will be free and unrestrained.
"On the Equality of Things, Part Two" is a discussion on the equality of all things.
"The Art of Preserving Health - Part 3" is about letting your mind wander, following the will of nature, being at peace with the times, and practicing in the mountains.
《The Human World·Chapter 4》 Those who live in the human world are where all living things live.
《德充符·5》 is the invisible symbol of the Supreme Morality and the inner perfection. It teaches without words and is formed in the heart without form!
Just like the trajectory of the white-haired old man's life.
[Free and unrestrained, equal to all things, health preservation and the world, teaching without words, invisible and heart-made, the symbol of the supreme morality]
The sixth chapter of Zhuangzi's Inner Chapter is named as -
Grandmaster!!!
…
The white-haired old man walked into his quiet room. He raised his eyes and looked at what was in front of him. It was a Taoist robe, a dark blue Taoist robe. Next to it was a wooden hairpin and a sword with a sheath. The old man smiled with a gentle expression. He was sitting in front of the Taoist robe.
The cultivation of this body has almost been "dissipated", the scholar in green felt something, and suddenly looked up, seeing all things in the world, flowing and changing, as if stagnant. The expression of the scholar in green was rare and calm, looking at the nine stone tablets, looking at the nine tripods of luck rising into the sky, looking at this red dust world, looking at the Yuqing tree.
Only he knew what it meant for the man named Qiu to be praised for attaining enlightenment.
The scholar in green robes stood with his hands behind his back, muttering to himself: "Qiu Dedao..."
The old man lowered his eyes calmly, as if he was in silence.
Qiu Dedao.
Zhuang Zhou dances.
Golden Cicada Sees Buddha.
All the philosophers of the hundred schools of thought sing in the world.
In this vast and magnificent world, there are monks who measure the earth and see me and the common people; there are teachers who pass on various laws and teach students in accordance with their aptitude; there are military generals who unify the world; there are emperors who work day and night, there are the world of mortals, there are vicissitudes of life, and there are sesame cakes that happen to be everywhere.
The young man who fled to Jinzhou has fulfilled his lifelong wish and mission and is now old.
He closed his eyes and breathed slowly.
The Master grew old and closed his eyes.
then.
Zhenwu.
The Supreme
It’s angelica.
