Chapter 85: The Profound Edict of the Taoist Master Wuhuo

Qi Wuhuo washed his face, then tied his hair into a bun again. By the time he had tidied up the room, he could already smell a hint of fragrance. The young Taoist waited patiently for a long time, and when he thought it was about time, he squatted down, took out a wooden stick, and dug out two blackened sweet potatoes from the stove.

The freshly baked sweet potato was very hot, and the outer shell was somewhat carbonized. When I poked it with a wooden stick, a layer of charred marks was left on the ground. When the temperature dropped a little, I carefully held it in my hand and peeled it apart, revealing the golden sweet potato flesh, steaming hot.

The boy blew on the food, his stomach growling with hunger, and he couldn't wait to take a bite.

Then I felt the sweet yet hot sweet potato rolling around in my mouth, as if it was fighting.

Finally, the temperature was not so hot. When he swallowed it, a hot feeling rolled all the way and burned his stomach. Then the sweet and mellow taste of the roasted sweet potato emerged. Qi Wuhuo finished one in two or three bites. Only then did he feel that the extreme fatigue that had been there before was relieved.

Eat the second sweet potato slowly.

But at this moment, a trace of emotional fluctuation suddenly appeared in the young Taoist's soul.

Following the scent, I saw the egg placed on the side of the table.

The young Taoist laughed in silence: "Are you hungry too?"

"Okay, okay, wait a minute."

He stood up, took out the medicinal liquid that he had refined earlier in order to go to the Mingzhen Dao League to exchange for information, and then poured it on the egg. He sensed the spirituality inside the eggshell, which seemed to be trying hard to absorb the vitality, trying hard to survive, and longing for the day when it would break out of the shell and be born.

The young Taoist gently stroked the eggshell with his fingertips and said gently, "Don't worry, don't worry."

"You will eventually break out of your shell and see this world."

"So now we just need to slowly replenish our energy, and that will be all."

"No need to rush."

He could feel that the shell of the egg was very thin.

This means that over the past three hundred years, most of the spirituality of the egg has dissipated and is being used to maintain the vitality within the eggshell. The spirituality within the eggshell also seems to have been slowly calmed down, and its spiritual fluctuations have gradually become gentle, docile and peaceful under the influence of Qi Wuhuo's spiritual nature.

The young Taoist raised his hand.

Place the egg on a small soft cloth and place it on the table.

He sat down beside the table and took out a piece of white paper. On it was the [original text] that he had copied down yesterday. Yesterday, he only wrote down the cloud seal characters. Different cloud seal characters were written together and needed to be reinterpreted into ordinary characters before he could study them. However, even after just reading it once, Qi Wuhuo could feel that the spells in this original text were extremely difficult.

He promised to send osmanthus cake to the girl.

So although this [Xuan Tan Original Text] is indeed very difficult, he still has to learn it.

The young Taoist looked at the original text. There were more than 300 cloud seals, each of which was rich in meaning. It introduced three kinds of [Xuantan]. The first one was called [Dongxuan Lingbao Natural Fasting Ceremony]. Qi Wuhuo read it silently. After reading the initial specifications and requirements, he carefully interpreted it until he saw the person to whom this volume of [Fasting Ceremony] was directed -

[The Supreme Three Heavens, the Mysterious Yuanshi, the Three Qis, the Supreme Lord Laojun summoned out… the left and right official messengers, the left and right incense-carrying dragon riders, the incense-serving golden boy, the rumor-telling jade girl, the Five Emperors’ direct talismans, and the direct sun incense officials, thirty-six people each, to open the door to the land and the area here, the true officials and the true gods.]

[Order your minister’s request to be delivered promptly to the presence of the Supreme Jade Emperor of the Infinite Great Dao]

The young Taoist paused and looked at the last line of text.

He blinked and read it again carefully.

This fasting ritual leads directly to [the presence of the Supreme Jade Emperor of the Infinite Great Dao]?

Um?

Direct?!

Directly to where?

What did Yunqin bring me?

The young Taoist priest held the roll of paper in his hand, and was stunned for a moment, then he suddenly chuckled gently.

This ritual is definitely not usable.

Just this original text.

Could it be that Yunqin chose the highest-ranking one among all the [Xuan Tan Ritual Original Texts]?

Do you think that the highest one is the best?

Then we can interpret and understand the remaining two Xuantan methods, which are respectively named "Huanglu Zhai Shi Tianzun Ritual" and "Jinlu Jietan Ritual". Not to mention the Shi Tianzun ritual, even the "Jinlu Jietan Ritual" requires many Taoists to open the altar together to do it, which belongs to the large-scale Xuantan method.

Qi Wuhuo could already guess that the girl had carefully selected out the highest and best methods. He could see the girl sitting among countless codes, frowning and searching.

But it seems a little too high.

Not to mention whether those people will respond to him after using them.

Even if you want to use it, it won’t work.

However, since I'm just delivering some osmanthus cake, it doesn't seem necessary to do it on such a large scale, right?

It's impossible that I would directly start a ritual and tell the Jade Emperor Taishang Wuji that I want to send a dessert to someone and ask for the emperor's approval?

Is it possible to use only part of it?

The young Taoist priest remembered what the girl said when she said goodbye for the last time.

"Of course, if you learn the Xuantan magic in these three to five days."

"You can also contact me directly."

That is something you have to learn.

The young Taoist held his chin with one hand and interpreted word by word the volume of "Xuantan Original Text" originally named "Shangqing Lingbao Zhuzhai Rituals".

All parts with extremely high specifications are stripped off.

However, things that are common to the three major rituals are retained.

After a long while, Qi Wuhuo tapped the table with his fingers, and said thoughtfully: "It seems impossible to disassemble it, but it seems that all rituals and Xuantan have the same structure, setting up the altar, ritual, and the [True Name Treasure Edict] pointing to a certain existence. The altar should strengthen the caster's spirit, and the ritual is a way to purify and strengthen the spirit."

"Finally, through this method, I can use my spiritual nature to activate the [True Name Treasure Edict]."

"The most important step in completing Xuantan."

"So, in theory, you only need to meet these three steps to perform the Xuantan method."

"Then, if I know Yunqin's [location] and then strengthen [my] side, can I try to transform the one-way Xuantan method into a method for two-way transmission?"

Qi Wuhuo seemed to be thinking about something, and then based on these three major Xuantan rituals.

Try to simplify your rituals.

It's just like walking by holding on to a wall, or like a vine growing along a tree.

It is much simpler than developing a new method or magical power.

Soon, Qi Wuhuo performed a ritual that looked quite formal.

The young Taoist took a look at the "Huanglu Zhai Shi Tian Zun Yi", thought about it, picked up the pen to imitate this step, and wrote down the words pointing to himself.

[Taishang Xuanmen, Yousheng Miaofa] This represents the greatest lineage and origin.

Then it was time to act. The young Taoist thought about it, and although he felt his face turned red when he said this, he still had to write it down.

[He lived in Helian Mountain, made elixirs and preached the Dharma, educating all spirits to open the Dharma lineage, benefiting all living things, and living as the master of mountains and rivers]

[Walking among the human world, seeing the world, being in the highest place, walking the path of the mysterious world]

[Every action you take should be in accordance with Heaven’s will, always practice great compassion, and save all from disasters], this is the precept given by the teacher.

Finally, it is a name that points directly to the self.

[The Taoist Xuanwei Zhenren, Wuhuo Miaodao Zhenjun]

Qi Wuhuo put down his pen, took a deep breath, and looked at the imitation of [Bao Gao]. He felt that it was very realistic. He practiced with the old man, but only for a short time. The old man's attitude was to let his disciples grow without interfering. Therefore, Qi Wuhuo didn't know what he was doing. He just felt that this was a necessary step to send the osmanthus cake.

After thinking about it, he removed the two words "Taishang" completely. Since he could not reveal his master, he replaced them with "Taoism" and "Taoism".

Also wipe out Master Xuanwei.

Just nodded slightly.

"That should be no problem."

"Helian Mountain is not very big to begin with. Among the mountain gods of all generations, adding the two words 'Wuhuo' is enough."

“I will use Wuhuo Zhenjun instead of Wuhuo Daojun to distinguish him from Uncle Niu. From ancient times to the present, there have been cases where people have the same name. There was a certain Zhenren in the ancient times and a certain Zhenren today. However, when trying to contact Yunqin, I have to give it a try first. It would be bad if I fail…”

The young Taoist thought about it, and there was something he had to do, and it could only be done by this Xuantan method.

Helianshan.

He had promised the spiritual beings in the mountains over there that he would open an altar every year to make elixirs and preach for three years, but now he was in Zhongzhou City, and because he had to treat people's eye diseases and the journey was too long, he couldn't go back in a short time.

At that time, he went out with his teacher, thinking that he would be back in a few days.

But I didn’t expect that I would meditate for a whole year.

At least I have to tell He Lianshan that I am fine.

It would be even better if we could use the Xuantan method to send the elixir back.

But how to contact Helian Mountain? It's so far away. Qi Wuhuo thought about it and took out a jade book. It was a thank-you gift from Tao Taigong after he gave a lecture. It contained a list of mountain gods and land gods from all over Zhongzhou. When it was unfolded, it was actually a mountain and river trend map, which recorded all the mountains and rivers in Zhongzhou. The young Taoist searched for it and found Tao Taigong's name in it.

"Well, it is in this volume of "Xuantan Original Codex". It tells how the person being pointed at can respond to the Xuantan Method."

"The art of dreaming."

"Well, the ancestor who Yunqin told me about telling his disciples that the tribute was not to their taste used this method, right?"

"With the name of Tao Taigong that carries aura, it seems possible."

The young Taoist took out the mountain god talisman according to the method recorded in "Shangqing Lingbao Zhuzhaiyi", and used the mountain god talisman and the jade book with his name recorded as the altar for casting spells - the altar was originally a means to assist the Taoist, making his own spiritual nature pure and powerful, and making it easier to point to the target spiritual nature in this vast world.

The mountain god talisman and the jade book with the aura of Tao Taigong are undoubtedly more qualified.

Follow the steps of Yu and keep your mind as instructed.

Recite the Taoist mantras for purifying the heart, purifying the mouth, and purifying the body in sequence.

Use a jade book as the starting drum.

Knock your fingers and strike the Dharma drum twenty-four times.

Then take three sticks of incense and use them as a guide.

Recite the Zhuxiang Mantra, one of the eight Taoist mantras.

Then he used the Xuanmen altar, but after thinking about it, he realized that he didn't understand these things after all. If he failed, what would he do if he failed?

So he learned the method recorded in the so-called [Xuan Tan Original Classic] and spoke.

Under the Helian Mountain, Mr. Tao and many of his good friends drank all night long. As a god of the earth, he could have a lifespan of three to five hundred years. If he did not indulge in any desires for incense and did not practice cultivation, he would just drink every day and live a carefree life.

Today we were talking about the young Taoist priest and the Tiger Mountain God, but he hasn't come back for a year and there has been no news. I got drunk, lay on the bed with my clothes on, and fell into a deep sleep. I didn't know where I was in my dream. Suddenly, I heard a call, light and peaceful, but distant and ethereal, as if it came from the sky.

"Grandpa Tao——"

The old man suddenly sobered up!
