Leonidas watched this scene and just shook his head slightly.
"That's why they want to seek help from outsiders, even from the Holy Egyptians."
The remaining Spartan soldiers actually laughed when they heard Leonidas' words.
Their laughter grew louder and louder, as if the Persians below, who were like the ocean, were just a bunch of ants.
The Spartans seemed unconcerned.
"The Persian vanguard is landing."
"It won't be long before their vanguard arrives at Thermopylae."
"We should go back now."
They crossed another ridge and returned to the pass of Thermopylae.
The Spartan warriors quickly returned to their respective posts and began to strengthen the defense line.
They piled stones for the breastwork and cleared the firing range, each man doing his part.
Although all the Spartans here now knew the number of Persians, they were not affected at all and remained focused on the preparations at hand.
Soon after, a Persian cavalryman appeared on the road to Thermopylae.
He saw the Spartans guarding the pass, stopped first, then spurred his horse back at full speed.
Apparently, he was going to report the discovery.
"My king!"
"A Persian cavalryman has spotted us!"
"Let me lead three warriors in a charge! We'll throw our spears from above and bring back that guy's body!"
Leonidas shook his head.
"If he doesn't return safely, the Persian army will march here anyway."
"Spartan warriors!"
"Prepare to meet the enemy!"
"Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!"
