The last to enter was King Philip of Spain.
Unlike the rugged and unrestrained style of King João III of Portugal and Scythias Tomilis, Philippe's appearance was relatively low-key, but that still could not conceal his unique aura.
He wore a black velvet coat studded with priceless diamonds.
Even when he walks, he doesn't make a crisp "slap slap" sound like the previous two.
"His Majesty the King of Spain, His Majesty Felipe, has arrived!"
The protocol officer's voice rang out again.
At the same time, the leaders of the Mali and Inca civilizations also entered the venue from the other side, but they did not receive the same courtesy as the protocol officer.
The two men turned their gazes toward Lin Ke, and Lin Ke nodded back to them.
Upon entering, King Philip of Spain nodded to the leaders of several major powers.
He showed moderate respect to Nadir Shah of Persia, was somewhat indifferent to the two Greek leaders, and was almost indifferent to Bolívar of Gran Colombia.
Of course, such subtle differences are nothing new to those who have already participated in world conferences.
“Your Majesty, it seems the situation here is more complicated than we anticipated.”
Nan Tong observed the group of people who slowly sat down in the center, and spoke to Lin Ke in a low voice.
Lin Ke nodded. You see, even though the World Conference hasn't started yet, the venue is already rife with undercurrents.
He had originally planned to promote the name of Holy Egypt here, so that Holy Egypt could spread its fame. However, judging from the current situation, things are probably much more complicated than Lin Ke had imagined.
However, that glamorous person did help Lin Ke in a way. After all, although Lin Ke has not yet been able to make any official statements at the World Conference, the debate just now has made many civilization leaders here aware of the existence of the Holy Egyptian civilization.
Therefore, Lin Ke has at least achieved half of his goal, and now he intends to listen to the words of the leaders of the civilizations who hold the highest positions in the World Conference.
After all, Lin Ke had seen people discussing something intensively underground yesterday. The participants seemed to include many leaders of local civilizations, and Lin Ke was certain that they were from Mali and Greece.
Lin Ke can then observe the proposal through voting, thus finding out what they are secretly up to.
Just then, Gran Colombia's leader, Bolívar, stood up and looked around the room.
That was him confirming that the leaders of all the important civilizations had arrived.
Then, he slowly stood up again, his simple linen robe standing out among the many luxurious garments.
"Distinguished leaders of civilizations."
Although Bolívar's voice in Gran Colombia is not as rugged as that of the Scythian queen, it possesses an innate power.
Everyone who heard this voice puffed out their chests slightly, except for the leaders in the central area, who maintained their previous posture.
"All participants have arrived, and I will be delivering the opening remarks on behalf of the host country, Greece."
At this point, Bolívar of Gran Colombia bowed slightly to the two Greek leaders before continuing to speak.
"I hereby declare the World Conference on Delos officially open."
The audience responded with polite applause, but a closer listen revealed its unevenness.
Some were enthusiastic, some were perfunctory, and some simply remained silent.
But Bolivar of Gran Colombia didn't seem to care and just kept talking.
"Welcome, leaders who have traveled from afar."
He did not pick up his speech notes, nor did he put on the crown that symbolizes power. Instead, he faced the leaders of the various countries present as an equal participant rather than a high and mighty ruler.
"On this sacred island, we gather here, bearing the hopes and trust of various civilizations."
"Delo is a sacred island in Greece."
"This is the birthplace of Apollo, the Greek sun god, and the center where the Greeks conveyed divine will."
"This shows how much the people of Greece value and cherish the World Conference, us, and this great belief that brings us together."
When Bolívar of Gran Colombia said this, he bowed slightly to Pericles again.
Pericles smiled slightly, while Leonidas remained expressionless, even glancing at Pericles with a hint of disdain.
"But today, we are not telling a myth, but a nobler idea."
"That is, all civilizations, regardless of size or strength, have the equal right to participate in shaping the future of the world."
Bolívar's words resonated with many leaders of small and medium-sized civilizations.
Many of them had long been neglected or dominated by major powers, and upon hearing these words, they couldn't help but straighten their backs.
"We have gathered here not to show off the achievements of our respective civilizations, or to compare whose history is longer or whose technology is more advanced."
Bolivar of Gran Colombia continued speaking, while Lin Ke, in the distance, remained calm and simply watched.
"We are here together to confront challenges that transcend the capabilities of any single civilization."
"Resource depletion, disease outbreaks, and large-scale conflicts are problems that know no borders, and their solutions should not be limited to the wisdom of any one civilization."
The leaders of some powerful nations exchanged skeptical glances in the hall, but they also had to admit that there was some truth to Bolivar's words.
Nan Tong looked at Bolivar of Gran Colombia with a hint of surprise. He was somewhat astonished, as he felt that the man's words seemed to have some similarities to those of his own Holy Pharaoh.
"Therefore, in the days to come, we will discuss four core issues."
"Trade and resource allocation, technology sharing and intellectual property, mechanisms for resolving clashes of civilizations, and most importantly, the reform and future development of the World Conference itself."
When Bolívar of Gran Colombia got to this point, he emphasized the last point in particular.
"World conferences cannot remain in the past forever. Just as human civilization is constantly developing and evolving, our cooperation mechanisms must also keep pace with the times."
"Otherwise, this platform will lose its meaning and become an empty shell of formalism."
These words caused some leaders to frown, but also drew enthusiastic applause from others.
Lin Ke, however, remained silent.
