Chapter 14: Glorious Egypt! The Divine Right to King!

The Hebrew army was completely defeated by the thunder and lightning of the god of the desert and the Nile, and the soldiers fled in all directions.

The Hebrew god who was wrapped in blue light just now also disappeared. The messenger of God who had used up all his magic power shrank his body, as weak as a dried lizard. He was immediately picked up by the servants around him and ran away.

"Retreat quickly! Retreat quickly!"

"Egypt now has a main god, and we must report it to the commander!"

"We need two or more gods to have a chance of victory! Quick! Get the army to retreat!"

The shadow that had been oppressing the capital was finally dispelled, and the enemy troops withdrew, never daring to look back.

People flocked to the streets of Egypt's capital to celebrate this hard-earned victory.

"We're saved! The king's capital is saved!"

"The enemy is retreating! Really retreating!"

"Long live the God of the Desert and the Nile! Long live the Pharaoh!"

In the flames of the outer city, people's laughter and tears were intertwined, and the long-lost joy rose again on this land.

The soldiers took off their armor and cheered along with the people, as if years of oppression and fear had finally been released.

However, in the midst of this enthusiastic celebration, Nan Tong looked up at the golden light still shining in the sky with a frown on his face.

"Your Majesty," he said with a hint of doubt in his tone, "The Hebrew gods came to us through the divine descent of their messengers. But our new god does not have such a carrier... Will it disappear again?"

These words were like a huge rock smashing into the ocean that had just calmed down.

The crowd gradually quieted down, and their joyful smiles were replaced by uneasiness.

People began to whisper and fear began to spread again.

"What should we do if the gods leave?"

"Could it be...will we go back to the old days?"

Lin Ke listened to the whispers around him, but was not moved at all.

He looked at the crowd calmly, then smiled softly.

"Don't worry," Link said in a low voice, "The God of the Desert and the Nile will never leave again."

Of course, Lin Ke knew very well that, to a certain extent, gods were the "products" of [Stonehenge] in the civilization panel.

Now that Stonehenge has been built, the gods will not disappear, they will remain here.

Hearing Lin Ke's words, Nan Tong was stunned for a moment, then a smile slowly appeared on his face.

However, although Lin Ke was not sure where the new god would go next, he inferred that it should be related to "Stonehenge".

Everyone looked up at the God of the Desert and the Nile, only to see that the golden light on his body was getting stronger and stronger, and the Stonehenge began to emit a low roar, as if they were resonating.

Sure enough, the golden light in the sky suddenly shook, and then poured down from the clouds like a waterfall, falling straight into the center of the Stonehenge.

"boom--"

A moment later, a figure walked out of the golden light, covered in dazzling light.

God has come!

There is no messenger of God, no human carrier!

But it came in physical form!

The god of Egypt and the Nile took slow steps forward. Although the light from his body had dimmed a lot, it still acted like a torch, dispelling and illuminating the surrounding darkness.

Seeing this scene, the people of the capital knelt on the ground, shouting in trembling voices: "Great God of the Desert and the Nile, your majesty is unmatched! We will always remember your gift!"

"Thank you for coming! It is you who saved us and gave the capital a new life!"

Even Nan Tong slowly bowed to the ground, his expression full of awe.

In Egyptian tradition, the status of gods has always been high and superior to all mortals, even the pharaohs.

Although the pharaoh was called the "Son of the Gods", he still had to pay homage to the gods to show his loyalty and awe.

Whenever a disaster struck, the Pharaoh would even personally preside over the sacrifices to seek forgiveness from the gods.

However, the next moment, this new god shocked everyone.

It slowly knelt on one knee, lowered its head respectfully and saluted Lin Ke.

"Your Majesty, the great Pharaoh, the God of the Desert and the Nile salutes you."

The crowd was originally crawling on the ground, and their movements froze in an instant.

Even though they didn't dare to look up, they could still hear slight gasps from the crowd, and their low whispers revealed an undisguised shock.

"God...salute to the Pharaoh?"

"This... How is this possible..."

They held their breath, not even having the courage to take another look, but still couldn't hide the huge shock surging in their hearts.

All this completely overturned their previous understanding of gods and royal power.

The new god saved the capital, so it was logical that the Pharaoh should offer sacrifices to the god to show his respect.

Now he's kneeling down on one knee before the Pharaoh?!

This abnormal behavior overturned the belief rules that had existed for thousands of years, and everyone was shocked and confused.

Even Nan Tong was stunned and speechless for a long time.

However, Lin Ke just looked at the god in front of him calmly, and said calmly: "Very good, God of the Desert and the Nile. You have done a great job in saving the capital from despair today. Please stand up."

The new god nodded, stood up and stood aside.

Lin Ke could also feel that those kneeling people were even trembling slightly.

They were even more in awe of themselves.

Lin Ke turned around and looked at everyone: "Everyone, stand up. From now on, the God of the Desert and the Nile will be the power of our great Egypt."

It was a simple sentence, but it shook people's ears like thunder.

In the past, gods were high above and the pharaohs had to bow down to them devoutly.
