Chapter 147: Stand up! Resist!

"This is the Holy Pharaoh of Holy Egypt."

"I am Nan Tong, the star magician of Holy Egypt."

Nan Tong squatted beside Amon at this time and gently cast a spell to help Amon stop the bleeding and slightly reduce the swelling.

Of course, Nan Tong’s main expertise was not in this type of magic, so this was all he could do.

After the swelling in Amon's eyes subsided slightly, he finally saw Lin Ke's face clearly.

The face was angular, the eyes were deep, the expression was indifferent yet full of majesty.

Amon's heart sank suddenly. He had never seen such a person before, but there was no dangerous aura around this person.

They were neither as cold and terrifying as the Hebrews, nor as weak and thin as the Egyptians.

But what he could feel was that this person had an indescribable unique temperament.

Amon asked very weakly, his voice filled with a bit of caution and doubt: "Holy Egypt?"

"What is that?"

"Are you a resistance group in Egypt? Or are you a royal family in exile?"

"But how dare you use the name of Pharaoh?"

After hearing Amon's words, Lin Ke and Nan Tong immediately realized that the other party knew nothing about Holy Egypt.

This is most likely because the Hebrews blocked the news.

At this time, Nan Tong slowly squatted beside him and patted his shoulder gently: "Amon, Egypt is no longer the Egypt of the past."

“The Hebrews did not completely occupy all of Egypt.”

"The city of Cairo is still in our hands, and under the leadership of the Holy Pharaoh, we have even liberated the city of Memphis."

"The Holy Pharaoh is the new Pharaoh of Egypt, and Egypt has been renamed Holy Egypt."

Hearing this, Amon's pupils suddenly contracted, as if he had heard some Arabian Nights fairy tale.

His lips trembled, as if he was saying something, but no sound came out.

His mind was in a mess as he was rebuilding his understanding of the world.

"No! This, this is impossible!"

Amon squeezed out a voice from the depths of his throat, his brows almost completely knitted together: "The Hebrews have surrounded the Egyptian capital!"

"No, that's not right."

He looked at Lin Ke, then at Nan Tong, and seemed to feel that everything was becoming chaotic.

"You, you are lying to me, right?"

Nan Tong did not answer, but just looked at him quietly, with a little more pity in her eyes.

Amon's breathing became more and more rapid, and his eyeballs began to tremble wildly.

"Ah! I see!"

"I'm already dead! This isn't the real world!"

Amon suddenly laughed, and the laughter even sounded a little crazy: "Actually, I'm already dead, right?"

"This is all my imagination, isn't it?"

“Right?!”

After he finished speaking, he suddenly raised his hand and slapped himself hard.

A crisp sound echoed in the air and his cheeks felt burning, but the scene before him did not change at all.

The bodies of his wife and son were still lying on the ground. The three men in black robes were still standing in front of him, just watching and listening quietly.

Amon's laughter stopped abruptly with the crisp sound. He covered his face with his hands, sobbing with his body shaking.

He has broken down.

"I...I did this to protect my wife and children."

"I did this so that I could feed them. I betrayed my compatriots and the kingdom that raised me."

"Every day I was looked down upon by my people and beaten by the Hebrews."

"I endured it! I endured it all! I don't know how many nights I have thought about ending it all!"

"It was my wife and children who supported me, so I was able to force myself to enter that hell over and over again..."

"But now, they are dead... they are all dead."

His voice became lower and lower, almost turning into a whisper.

Nan Tong wanted to comfort him, but didn't know how to start.

Amon's pain was too deep and too heavy. It had piled up and formed an insurmountable mountain.

"You guys go." Amon suddenly raised his head, his eyes empty.

"The Hebrews are too strong. You can't defeat them."

"Don't make any more unnecessary sacrifices. No more people should continue to die."

After he said that, he slowly crawled towards his wife's body, which was his only destination.

However, just as his fingers were about to touch his wife's hand, Lin Ke suddenly grabbed his ankle.

Amon's body suddenly stiffened, and pain came from his ankle, making him gasp.

"You! What are you going to do?" Amon's voice was filled with fear and anger. He tried to break free from Lin Ke's hand, but found that the other party was incredibly strong.

Lin Ke did not answer, but looked at him coldly: "Amon, what happened today will only continue to happen."

"You are not the only victim."

Hearing Lin Ke's words, Amon's body shook violently.

Countless images flashed through his mind: the cries of tribesmen being whipped to death, the screams of children being tortured, and the laughter of the enemy, the Hebrews...

Everything is simply a nightmare with no end.

But Lin Ke did not stop. He continued, "There are still more compatriots dying, and there are still more compatriots experiencing the same pain as you."

"Are you willing to accept this? Don't you want to resist?"

Amon clenched his fists tightly, his nails leaving deep grooves in the mud.
