Chapter 273 Where did everyone go?

The last cavalryman was completely frozen on his horse, and his cold sweat was running down the lining of his armor.

From the back of my neck, I could feel waves of cold gasps.

He knew very well that it was definitely not the breath of a human.

His heart was now screaming "Help" and beating hard against his chest.

"Boom! Boom!"

He couldn't help wanting to swallow his saliva, but his Adam's apple only rolled half an inch with difficulty before it got stuck.

He didn't dare, and couldn't.

He couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't alert the thing behind him.

As for breathing?

I dare not breathe at all!

He felt as if his lungs were being strangled by an iron hoop, and even his temples were throbbing.

At this moment, he clearly felt a pair of fangs hanging above his carotid artery.

Because his carotid artery was gently pressed by two sharp objects, but he could hear the "thump thump" sound coming from his neck, the sound of the heart transporting blood.

If you don't run, you will die!

Then his mind went blank and his scalp felt numb as if it had exploded.

He stared at the alley ahead and clamped his legs tightly around the horse's belly.

In the blink of an eye, he felt a pair of bony claws grabbing his face.

In just a moment, he was pulled off the saddle.

What followed was the dizzying sight seen with the naked eye.

He saw the blood mist he had spurted out blooming in the moonlight, and something cold and sharp pierced his neck and throat.

He could even hear the "hissing" sound of air leaking from his trachea.

Then, it was cold.

The coldness instantly spread from the wound to his fingertips, and he felt as if his body had suddenly fallen into an ice cave.

The horses were frightened and ran away, leaving their saddles empty.

All the Hebrew cavalry around the palace disappeared.

Only the horses looked at each other, and then they began to walk leisurely.

It was as if nothing had happened just now.

The other side.

The burly Hebrew commander was now standing on a flat, wide area near the center of the city.

This seems to be a square-like place.

There are many spices and white and red flowers placed around, giving people a festive atmosphere.

However, the burly commander's face was as red-hot as a piece of iron.

“Crack!”

At this time, he smashed a pottery jar into pieces with his weapon, and crushed the pottery pieces into powder with his combat boots, making a harsh "crackling" sound.

On a night like this, the sound almost makes one's hair stand on end.

The wind in the city blew up dust and sand, making his cloak whirring.

However, his anger was even stronger than the wind.

“Where are the people?!”

"Where the hell are they?!"

He suddenly shouted loudly, and the sound rolled across the street like thunder.

Several cavalrymen just shrank their necks from a distance and no one dared to respond.

Because, although they searched in several places, they did not find a single holy Egyptian civilian.

Not even a single soldier!

That's why the burly commander clenched his fists so hard that they made a clattering sound.

And at this time he found that more and more horses began to roam the streets.

Some stood in the corner, and some walked slowly.

Some reins dragged on the ground and were kicked unintentionally by horse hooves, making slight "clacking" sounds.

He pointed sharply at the nearest cavalryman:

"You! Come here!"

The cavalryman shuddered all over and immediately rode over on his horse. His face turned pale in an instant.

"What's wrong with these horses?"

The commander-in-chief grabbed him by the collar and almost lifted him off his horse: "Where are all the people? Did they all get off their horses to pee?"

The cavalryman's teeth were chattering: "I, I don't know... Commander-in-chief..."

"It was fine before, but suddenly! Suddenly there were a lot more horses!"

The commander-in-chief cursed him as "waste" and threw him out like a lamb.

The cavalryman stumbled and fell on the stone slab, his armor rattling.

The burly commander's temples were throbbing with anger, and he turned and approached an empty horse.

When the horse saw him approaching, it actually took a step back.

Its nostrils were breathing heavily and its eyes were flashing with panic.

"Damn, even the beasts are fucking wrong!"

He cursed under his breath and suddenly kicked the horse in the belly.

The horse neighed and ran away, knocking over a clay pot on the side of the road, which shattered to the ground.

Those noises caused the other soldiers to speed up their search.

Then he roared, "Search every house for me! Even if it's a rat, you have to catch one for me!"

"How is it possible that there isn't even a single Holy Egyptian in such a big city?!"

The cavalrymen scattered in a hurry and ran away in all directions.

The burly commander strode towards the center of the square, a slightly higher place.

With every step he took, his rage grew.

This damn holy Egyptian capital can’t even capture a single prisoner!

The most hateful thing is that no one knows where his own cavalry has disappeared to.

"Could that damned Holy Pharaoh have really anticipated that I would attack the capital of Holy Egypt?"

"Damn it..."
