Chapter 322: Holy Egypt is really interesting!

"alright."

"Please don't move around. Someone will come to receive you later."

"Welcome to Holy Egypt, guests from afar."

These four men in ordinary linen robes only left these few words after they brought the three foreigners into Cairo.

Then they turned around and left quietly, disappearing into the crowd.

The tall foreigner looked back and said, "These people are really strange."

"Are they the people who manage the 'miracle'?"

The other companion shook his head. He had no idea either.

But they don't care about this. What they care more about is the scenes they can see at the moment.

The bustling scene in Cairo.

The people here are not what they imagined, and slaves are rarely seen here.

Moreover, even skinny people are rarely seen here.

"Why do all the people in Holy Egypt look so rosy-cheeked?"

"It's not quite the same as the rumors say."

"Wait? What are they selling over there?"

In a small shop, the aroma of bread is still wafting from the cave, which is specially used for baking bread.

They even saw that many workers from Holy Egypt had already lined up in front of the shop.

Those people were laughing and talking to each other, and even a worker took out about dozens of German copper coins.

Seeing this scene, they felt incredible.

“Even their workers can earn that much money?”

"What on earth is this Holy Egypt?"

They turned their heads, looked here and there with wide eyes, and exclaimed "Wow" from time to time.

"This place is even more prosperous than Jerusalem in the Hebrew Empire!"

“It’s so lively!”

"How come we didn't know before that Holy Egypt was such a kingdom?"

They just lamented that they should have known about Holy Egypt earlier and established friendly relations with it.

"Now that Holy Egypt is so powerful, I wonder if they will look down on us because of this."

"Yes, not only did they defeat the Hebrew Empire, but I heard they also possessed the Supreme God."

"It's meaningless to say this now, but it shouldn't be too late for us to come here. After all, Holy Egypt is a long way away from us, and I'm sure the people in Holy Egypt can understand it to some extent."

As they were talking, several Holy Egyptian soldiers came over.

They were wearing light armor, holding spears, marching in step and with a majestic demeanor.

He seemed to be a higher-ranking, more powerful soldier.

At this time, a Holy Egyptian soldier stepped forward and bowed slightly: "Guests from afar, welcome to the capital of Holy Egypt, Cairo."

"Please follow behind us."

The three foreigners looked at each other, a little nervously, and followed the soldiers.

"Thank you for your help."

On the way, they passed through Cairo's main street, which was lined with neat mud-brick houses.

Linen was hung on the roofs, and vendors were calling out in the streets, selling figs and olives.

The tall foreigner couldn't help but say, "It's so lively. Is Cairo so lively every day?"

“I can’t imagine how lively this place will be on the day of the celebration!”

The short man nodded and stared at another bakery on the side of the road: "Look, another similar shop!"

"Is Holy Egypt's food production so abundant?!"

He tried to strike up a conversation with the soldier leading the way, and asked with a smile, "Sir, I want to ask, is your city usually so lively?"

The holy Egyptian soldier glanced at him and said calmly: "My duty is to protect and lead the three guests."

"As for the rest, someone will talk to you later."

"Please forgive me."

When the foreigner heard this, he shut up in dismay.

The tall man suddenly widened his eyes as if realizing something. He put his mouth close to the ear of another companion and said, "Don't you find it strange?"

“The four men who brought them here just now are similar in size to these Holy Egyptian soldiers.”

The shorter man frowned at first, then his eyes widened as if he suddenly realized something.

He now realized: "You mean, they are also soldiers? Soldiers disguised as civilians?"

The tall man narrowed his eyes and said, "It's probably true. We were probably followed as soon as we entered Holy Egypt. We don't even know when we were followed."

The three of them were silent for a while. They didn't say anything more, just followed silently.

The holy Egyptian soldier then led them to a spacious room with two guards standing at the door.

"Please sit down for a moment."

After sitting there for a few minutes, a servant brought in a piece of freshly baked bread and some hot flatbreads.

The food was steaming hot and exuded a faint wheat aroma.

There was also a bowl of olive oil, a small dish of dried figs and a pot of honey water on the side, in addition to three rich soups.

It is eaten with bread.

In addition to these, there are some large pieces of meat such as roasted beef and mutton.

"Please sit for a while, guests from afar."

"If we were not hospitable enough just now, please don't blame me."

When the three foreigners saw the food being served, they just swallowed their saliva and said with a smile, "Where, where?"

“It doesn’t exist!”

After the servant left, the three of them looked at each other, and then immediately reached out and grabbed the food they wanted to eat.
