Elisha then leaned forward.
He held his breath and slowly raised his head.
It was not what Elisha expected.
That's not some robber.
Rather, a doe.
It was lying on its side in the open space, its right hind leg entangled in thorns.
There was also a deep wound, from which blood was slowly oozing out.
Its eyes are large, with black pupils that take up about three-quarters of the eye sockets.
Its eyes were filled with fear and its abdomen was heaving violently.
Elisha saw that he was not a robber, so he simply stood up.
"Shh, don't be afraid."
Elisha slowly approached, and he couldn't help but take a deep breath.

Its fur shone slightly in the morning light and was more beautiful than the silk the patriarch brought back from Jerusalem.
The doe struggled to stand up, but her injured leg caused her to fall back.
Elisha noticed that its udders were swollen, indicating that it was a lactating doe and that there must be a fawn waiting for it nearby.

Elisha spoke softly, taking a knife from his belt and carefully cutting through the thorns that were wrapped around its hind legs.
The doe's body trembled, but she did not resist.
When the last thorn was removed, Elisha tore off a corner of his linen coat and clumsily bandaged the wound.
Apparently, that wasn't enough to help it out of danger.
"You have to come back to the village with me."

Elisha suddenly ran away at this time.
The two men in black robes were watching quietly from a distance.
