The demon Baphomet explained, "This is because those mortals took the initiative to surrender to it."
"When humans long to connect with a god or demon, they are actually opening the door to their own hearts."
"That would give the devil an opportunity, but only a very small number of devils can do that."
Lin Ke narrowed his eyes and analyzed the words of the demon Baphomet: "So, the possession of souls does not rely solely on the power of demons, but also requires the cooperation of the recipient?"
Baphomet nodded in confirmation, "Yes."
"But you must make a decision now, Holy Pharaoh."
"It may continue to devour souls. With each additional victim, its power will grow."
"If that's the case, you might as well give all those souls to me, Holy Pharaoh."
Lin Ke did not answer the question from the demon Baphomet because he had already told him once that this was not within the scope of their transaction agreement.
"So, if it draws enough souls, what happens?"
The Baphomet demon just sneered when he heard this.
"How about it?"
It looked at Lin Ke, and for the first time, there was urgency in its tone.
"Holy Pharaoh, I must warn you. If you do not immediately summon more holy Egyptian gods to help, we will all die here."
"I will not sit idly by and allow all those lowly humans to be absorbed by the other side, Saint Pharaoh."
"If necessary, I will absorb their souls first."
