Chapter 797 Four Representatives

But as time went by, the noise of the quarrel not only did not subside, on the contrary, it became louder and louder.

Especially after Lin Ke arrived, people from many sects raised their voices even more after learning that the visitor was the Holy Pharaoh, the leader of the Holy Egyptian Alliance.

They even began to propose that they were willing to pay annual tribute in exchange for His Majesty the Holy Pharaoh allowing them to enter Jerusalem, but as soon as this was said, people from several other sects began to offer more tempting conditions.

Of course, but these are not important to Lin Ke. After all, Holy Egypt is not short of food or money now.

What is missing is just stability.

Therefore, in Lin Ke's opinion, what is more important is how to balance the conflicts among the four sects. Otherwise, even if Holy Egypt occupies Jerusalem, it will probably not be able to live in peace.

The new enemy has just been defeated. If these problems are not handled properly, I am afraid that Holy Egypt will create new enemies.

"Each of them should send a representative to convey their opinions."

As soon as he finished speaking, representatives from the four sects came forward one after another, vying to express their respective demands.

The oriental man in dark robes spoke first.

"Your Majesty, the Holy Pharaoh, on behalf of the pilgrims of the Snowy Plateau, I would like to request that the holy land be returned to us!"

"According to the ancient records of our tribe, this was the first holy temple built by our ancestors. It means a lot to us."

The Hebrew representative immediately retorted: "Hahaha! That's ridiculous!"

"We have solid documents proving that this church has belonged to the Hebrew Kingdom since the day it was built! Your so-called ancient books are nothing but recent forgeries!"

"Your Majesty the Holy Pharaoh, we are willing to rebuild Jerusalem and obey your orders!"

"Please don't let these foreigners enter our holy land! We can do anything you ask us to do!"

After hearing these words, the Arab leader just shook his head vigorously.

Obviously, he did not agree with what the two representatives said.

"Your Majesty, the Holy Pharaoh, what they said are all lies."

The Arab leader spoke calmly. He was the calmest of all at this moment.

"According to our historical records, it was here that our Prophet entered Paradise alive and had a conversation with God."

"We have a special record of this, called 'Night Travel to the Heavens'."

“It was in memory of our Prophet that our ancestors built the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.”

Although the Arab leader spoke with reason and calmness, his words did not win the approval of everyone.

The last representative then stepped forward and began his final speech.

"The true holiness comes from light. Our ancestors predicted three thousand years ago that this would be the center where light and darkness meet."

"We are the only ones who understand and fulfill this prophecy."

"If the Hebrew Empire hadn't taken this place away by brute force, we wouldn't have left so far."

The four representatives each held their own opinion and their words were fierce.

"You're fucking bullshit!"

"When we came to this land, your ancestors were not yet born!"

"Your mouth is full of shit! Your mouth is full of shit! There is not a single word of truth in your mouth!"

"You pagans should all be hanged!"

"You defeated generals of the Holy Egyptian Alliance, are you qualified to talk nonsense here? Who do you think you are!"

"Then who are you? When we occupied Jerusalem, you were nothing but piglets to us! Now that the empire has fallen, you have become bold enough to run wild on our land!"

"Is this your land? Is your name written here? You damned, rude barbarians!"

"What did you say?! Try saying it again!"

As everyone was talking, suddenly everyone's face turned red and their necks became thick.

They spoke extremely noisy words in the common language, and even the people of the Holy Egyptian Alliance were stunned when they heard those words.

There was a near-recurrence of conflict.

The soldiers watching tightened their weapons nervously, fearing that the situation would get out of control.

Malacia watched the argument with a frown on her face.

Obviously, the current situation has long been beyond her understanding. She did not expect that Jerusalem would involve so many problems.

"Your Majesty the Holy Pharaoh, I have a plan."

"We can solve the immediate problem by allowing everyone to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre."

She turned to look at Lin Ke, and Lin Ke just nodded slightly, giving her authorization.

Although there seemed to be other meaning in that smile, Malacia did not notice it at this time.

So she took a deep breath and stepped forward, her voice loud and clear.

"Everyone be quiet!"

Her loud voice, unique to an Amazon warrior, successfully attracted everyone's attention. The members of the four sects turned to her at the same time and temporarily stopped arguing.

"After careful consideration, we have decided to allow everyone to enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for worship."

Malacia announced.

She thought this was a fair solution that would be accepted by everyone.

However, this triggered even greater opposition.

The dark-robed Oriental immediately objected.

"That's absolutely not possible! The holy land can only be entered by pure guardians, anyone else would be blasphemous!"

The same is true of the Hebrew representatives.

"We don't agree either! The remains of our ancestors rest here. Letting pagans step in is not the greatest disrespect to the deceased."

"If I have to live to suffer this humiliation, I'd rather you chop off my head!"

The Arab leaders also objected: "The holy place must be kept pure. According to our scriptures, only the prayers of true believers can be answered."

“To allow unbelievers to enter is to close the gates of heaven.”

The last representative looked at Malacia and said, "We all adhere to the same principle. The sanctity of the holy land comes from exclusivity."

"Sharing a holy place is equivalent to denying the essence of each person's faith."

"Here, there can only be one faith, one god."

"Otherwise, wouldn't that be blasphemy?"

Representatives of the four religious groups actually reached a consensus on this key issue.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre cannot be shared and can only belong to a single faith group.

Their stance was so resolute that Marasia even doubted for a moment whether her decision was too hasty.

So she tried to mediate again.

"So, how do you explain the current situation?"

"If the holy land can only belong to one party, then which party is the real owner?"

This question added fuel to the fire, causing the debate to escalate again. Representatives from each faction listed their own evidence and quoted their own scriptures, but no one could convince others to accept their point of view.

"Our ancestors 1,500 years ago..."

"According to the Hebrew literature, book 7, chapter 3..."

Arguments continued and the scene became chaotic again.

Marasia looked at Lin Ke helplessly, because she could not think of any peaceful solution at the moment.
