It's a new day again.
At this moment, in a deep valley at the northernmost tip of Norway, a group of burly figures wearing fur cloaks were moving forward silently.
They were armed with axes and spears, and had blood-drinking daggers at their waists.
However, it was unprecedentedly quiet at this moment, and they even deliberately suppressed their breathing.
"Our king, we finally arrived here at daybreak."
"If the Dark Magic Queen's divination is the same as last time, then we will definitely win again!"
King Harald of the North did not speak. He just looked at the other party and raised two fingers to his lips.
The person who just spoke was one of the tribal leaders behind him.
Those who can come here are the most famous warriors among the Vikings.
But at this moment, they all set foot on this land called "Twilight Land" with a feeling of awe.
Deep in the valley, a huge rock stands there.
The rock walls are engraved with ancient runes.
That is the famous rune. To the Vikings, this mysterious text contains the secrets of the universe and the will of the gods.
Simply put, this is a rune that can carry power.
At this moment, King Harald of the North gently stroked the words and spoke slowly.
"Do you know where these runes came from?"
"This is the sacred knowledge our Supreme God Odin gained by piercing himself with a spear and hanging from the World Tree for nine days and nine nights."
"Runes are the embodiment of this sacred knowledge."
"So, each rune here represents a kind of power, a kind of law."
"They are our letters and the keys to our prophecies."
The leaders nodded, but were still a little confused.
After all, some of them were visiting this place for the first time.
"King, but I still don't understand why these symbols can foresee the future?"
Harald, King of the North, pointed to the rocks.
"Because the future is written into the very fabric of the world."
"Just as the growth rings of a tree indicate its lifespan, runes reveal the inevitable laws governing the operation of all things."
While they were talking, they had already reached the deepest part of the valley.
A circular area surrounded by huge rocks appeared in front of us, with a steaming spring in the center.
Legend has it that this is the entrance to the underworld, connecting the world of the dead and the unknown future.
Then, a woman wrapped in a black robe slowly stepped forward.
She came to the side of the spring, slowly raised her skinny hand, and pushed away the black veil in front of her eyes.
"Harald, King in the North."
"Are you ready to see your destiny?"
Harald, King in the North, simply nodded immediately.
Then, the Queen of Dark Magic made a sound like the cry of a night owl, which sounded like both laughter and a sigh.
"Children of Odin, you are always so eager to know the future!"
"Aren't you afraid that this power will one day backfire on you?"
She chuckled a few more times and then came to the edge of the spring.
"But since you insist on seeking answers..."
Then she took out a few rune-carved stone tablets from her robe and gently placed them on the surface of the spring.
"Rune divination reveals rivers of possibility, the threads woven by the goddess of fate."
"When the runes appear perfectly aligned in the water, victory is assured."
“If they intersect, it means there will be bumps in the road ahead but you will overcome them.”
"If the runes are scattered and disordered, it portends disaster and failure."
The leaders held their breath and watched the changes on the water surface.
Even Harald clenched his fists nervously.
Although he was the strongest man who had experienced countless battles, what they were facing this time was the most powerful civilization on a continent.
Holy Egypt!
In a sense, it was a truly powerful kingdom.
Of course, but Holy Egypt's navy is too weak.
In the eyes of King Harald of the North, a kingdom with a weak navy is not worthy of the title of a powerful country.
He was not worthy of gold and jewels, for those treasures belonged to powerful men of the sea like him.
“Haa ...
The voice of the Queen of Dark Magic became louder and louder, like the waves before a storm, and also like the faint purple light in her hands.
Then, the rune stone in her hand began to tremble.
"River of Destiny, reveal the truth!"
"Eye of Odin, please let your descendants see their way forward clearly!"
In an instant, the spring water began to boil.
Runestones danced on the water, and no one knew what they meant except Harald, the King of the North.
However, the reaction of the Queen of Black Magic became a little strange.
She first opened her eyes wide, a look of shock on her face.
Then the corners of his mouth rose slightly, revealing a strange smile.
Finally, her expression turned into deep confusion and her brows were furrowed.
It was the first time that King Harald of the North had seen this kind of reaction from the Queen of Dark Magic.
"What did you see?"
The Queen of Dark Magic was silent for a long time before she slowly spoke.
"I saw the plain where the desert met the fire, and I saw the iron bird soaring in the sky and landing on the iron whale."
"I saw seas of red, and pyramids of gold..."
One of the leaders asked anxiously, "The Queen of Black Magicians, is this a sign of victory?"
“We don’t understand!”
