[The Farm] was so close, but Samar felt something was increasingly wrong.
Because the cavalry he sent out never showed up again, and the [farm] that was supposed to be destroyed remained intact.
His eyes were gloomy as he stared at the eerily quiet field.
Where did the cavalry go?
A rage ignited in his heart, and he shouted towards the [farm]: "Where are the cavalry?! Get out of there now!"
The only answer he got was the sound of the wind blowing through the sand dunes.
Suddenly, a sharp sound of breaking through the air was heard. Before everyone could react, they saw a black shadow passing through the sky and suddenly piercing into the breastplate of a magic shield soldier in the front row.
The heavy black iron armor was torn apart by the arrow. The sharp arrowhead completely penetrated the soldier's chest, and blood splattered in an instant.
The soldier trembled violently, his pupils dilated instantly, and he fell backwards, knocking down two of his comrades behind him, making a loud noise of armor colliding.
Everyone was stunned, as if time had completely stopped at this moment.
Even the magic shield soldiers who were attacking Master Heka were attracted by the sound that just appeared.
"What, what's going on?!" Someone gasped, his tone trembling with disbelief.
"That arrow..." another soldier pointed at the corpse not far away, his voice hoarse, "How could it penetrate our armor?"
"Who is shooting? Where is the enemy?"
Someone lowered his voice and looked around frantically, trying to find the direction to shoot.
The soldiers' concentration on attacking suddenly froze, and their previous arrogance and anger turned into confusion and fear.
Samar's face turned pale, and he gritted his teeth and yelled, "Who shot the arrow? Where is the enemy?!"
His voice was so loud that even the wind in the desert trembled, but the soldiers remained standing where they were and no one moved.
More people stood there, their faces filled with fear.
They held weapons in their hands and looked around, but couldn't find the target.
Even though Samar's roar exploded in their ears, their bodies seemed to be nailed to the sand, unable to move.
One soldier turned his eyes helplessly to his comrade beside him, his Adam's apple rolled a few times, but in the end he said nothing.
Samar's eyes quickly swept across the sand in the distance, but found nothing.
However, it was still eerily quiet over at the [farm], with no one in sight.
Finally, a soldier nearby spoke hesitantly: "Maybe a hidden archer?"
"Impossible, where could he be hiding?" another person asked in a low voice, his tone full of fear and suspicion.
"I... I don't know either. It seemed to have flown from that direction just now." The soldier pointed to a sand dune, his fingers trembling slightly.
Samar's face became increasingly gloomy. He quickly turned his head and looked in that direction, but found nothing.
At this moment, the second arrow flew over with a "whoosh".
It shot straight at the shoulder of a soldier. There was a dull sound when the arrow hit the soldier, who groaned and staggered back a few steps.
He felt that he could still see the arrow coming towards him in the air one second ago, but the next second he didn't know why it had pierced his shoulder.
He looked down at the arrow stuck in the gap of his armor, his face twisted in pain.
After a while, his legs went limp and he could no longer hold on and fell to his knees on the sand.
The injured soldier took a few steps back, covering his chest with his hands and groaning, but he eventually couldn't hold on and fell to the ground.
Samar's eyelids twitched, and he quickly drew his scimitar and shouted, "Everyone, be on guard! There's an ambush!"
He was now certain that there must be a troop of archers shooting arrows at them in secret.
But before Samar could finish his words, another arrow shot from the air, aiming directly at the helmet of another magic shield soldier.
The soldier subconsciously raised his shield to block, but the huge impact of the arrow forced him to fall down with his shield, and he crashed into the queue behind him.
Several soldiers nearby hurriedly supported him, but found that his helmet had been cracked and his face under the helmet was covered in blood.
"What? How is that possible!" Samar's voice became hoarse.
The Magic Shield Corps had never encountered such an inexplicable attack on the battlefield.
They were the strongest fighting force of the Hebrews, invulnerable to swords and guns, and immune to magic, but now, they were being taken away by arrows one after another.
Another scream was heard not far away, and the soldiers in the front row fell one after another.
Those arrows seemed to require no aiming at all. Every shot accurately pierced through the armor and took a life.
In just a few minutes, hundreds of Magic Shield soldiers were killed or wounded.
"Where did this archer come from? Where is he hiding?" The captain gripped his sword tightly, his voice turning angry.
But when he looked around, he couldn't see the direction from which the arrow came.
The soldiers quickly re-formed themselves and tried to block the attack with their shields and formations, but the power of the arrows was far beyond their expectations. They penetrated directly through the gaps in the shields and knocked down the soldiers in the back row.
The entire formation was in chaos, the soldiers began to look around, and fear spread among the troops.
Samar stared at the [farm] in front of him. It seemed that only that place was peaceful and unusual.
His face gradually became distorted by anger and confusion: "Who is shooting the arrows?!"
He couldn't figure it out.
[The Farm] was still peaceful and tranquil, with no signs of any ambush or enemy presence.
The arrows seemed to come out of nowhere, accurately hitting their strongest soldiers.
Nan Tong and other magicians did not stop, they just continued to move towards the [farm]. The magic shield soldiers behind them gradually stopped chasing them and started looking around.
"Those magic shield soldiers actually fell down?" A magician next to Nan Tong couldn't help but whispered, with uncontrollable amazement and shock in his voice.
"Who is attacking them?" Another magician held his staff tightly, his eyes wandering, "How can the power of those arrows be so strong?"
Nan Tong didn't say anything. His gaze was fixed in the direction of Samar and the shield soldiers, and his eyes became increasingly profound.
Samar's curses and the captain's orders mixed together, creating a chaotic scene.
The soldiers no longer had their previous pride and confidence, and their faces were filled with fear and anxiety.
They searched around until they could clearly see that the arrows were shot one after another from behind the farm.
As Samar watched the magician team continue to flee towards the [Farm], his eyes became more and more confused.
The arrows did not attack the magicians, they just came towards them.
He immediately found a higher sand dune and climbed up it in two steps at a time.
He saw that behind the [farm] buildings, there were corpses of horses and soldiers everywhere.
All the cavalry were killed.
