Chapter 367 Summoning

Chapter 367 Summoning

The faint light of the teleportation dissipated within the personal laboratory, and Jemin stepped out, his figure appearing inside.

He dared not delay, and quickly connected to the communication by turning on the constantly flashing magic network terminal on his body.

A curtain of light unfolded in the air, revealing the familiar figure of Instructor Clark.

He was still wearing that meticulous dark wizard's robe, his signature slightly bald forehead reflecting the gleam of wisdom under the cold light of the laboratory, and his expression was as calm and focused as ever.

“Mentor,” Jemin greeted him respectfully.

Professor Clark's personality remained unchanged; without a word of pleasantries, he went straight to the point, his tone as concise as if stating experimental parameters: "Jermin, clear your schedule for the next month and about a year from now. I need to take you to see something."

"What is it?" Jemin asked curiously, though he wasn't really opposed to it.

After all, times have changed. He now has a large group of Black Giant Priests as an efficient team of "oxen and horses," and all research projects are progressing in an orderly manner. There are also dedicated people responsible for following up on the construction of the incense and sacred path.

Leaving for a year or two won't have a significant impact on his core research. In fact, he wanted a change of environment to spark some new inspiration.

“Not just you,” Clark added, “Viola and Ang will be with you too. I’m taking the three of you to see my mentor.”

See the advisor?

Jemin was slightly taken aback.

Clark's mentor must be at least a level seven or higher Grand Wizard.

He asked curiously, "Has something happened? Do we all need to come over?"

Clark's expression remained unchanged, but what he said made Jemin's pupils shrink instantly: "Your master is going to try to advance to the eighth level of wizardry."

Level 8 Wizard!

Jemin was shocked, as if struck by a silent thunderbolt.

In the wizarding world, level nine is the pinnacle, representing the supreme beings capable of creating and distorting rules.

Level eight is a level that is very close to the top of the pyramid!

Although level eight seems insignificant in comparison to level nine, it's important to know that before this, there was only one level eight workshop master in the entire Norren Workshop.

Seeing the shock on Jemin's face, Clark continued calmly, "The main reason for bringing you there is to broaden your horizons. Observing the insights gained from advancing from level seven to level eight will be of immeasurable benefit to your future path. By the way, it will also allow you to get to know the other members of our lineage."

"I understand! Mentor, I will arrange the time and be there on time!" Jemin immediately reacted, his tone filled with barely suppressed excitement.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; it would be worth it even if it took ten years, let alone one!

Seeing the light screen close, Jemin immediately summoned his black giant priest and efficiently arranged the various matters to follow.

A month passed in the blink of an eye.

Using the directional teleportation array within the academy, Jemin precisely arrived at Academy Noren 13 and went to Instructor Clark's office, which was filled with books, instruments, and unidentified biological specimens.

When the white light faded, Jemin discovered that he was the last one to arrive.

Senior Viola and junior Ang were already waiting there.

What caught Jemin's attention even more was that there was a young man who looked to be in his early twenties standing next to Ang.

The young man's face bore a resemblance to Ang's, and his eyes held a mixture of curiosity about the unfamiliar environment and a hint of nervousness.

With his keen senses, Jemin immediately recognized a familiar mark in the other party's soul aura—it was the embryo whose aptitude he had personally enhanced back then!

In other words, this young man is Ang's child.

Upon further sensing of its energy fluctuations, it was clear that it had already reached the level of a first-level wizard.

A strange feeling welled up in Jemin's heart.

In his mind, he had only buried himself in his studies and focused on research for decades, as if it had all happened in the blink of an eye.

However, outside the school, even the younger students' descendants have grown up and embarked on the formal path of wizards.

This sense of dislocation in time scale gave him a deeper understanding of the high-level wizards' concept of time.

“Junior Brother Jemin, you’re here really ‘early’.” Viola tossed her beautiful silver-gray hair, which seemed to have been styled specially for today, and her demeanor deliberately exuded an elegance rarely seen on her usual self.

Ang, standing nearby, quickly led the young man beside him and respectfully bowed to Jemin: "Senior Jemin, this is my child, Coles..."

“Junior Ang, and this…little fellow, no need for such formalities.” Jemin smiled and returned the greeting to Ang and his descendants.

When his gaze turned to Viola, his face revealed undisguised shock: "Senior, are you having an episode? What's wrong with you today?"

A vein bulged on Viola's forehead, and her forced elegant posture instantly crumbled.

"What do you mean?!" she gritted her teeth, raised her foot, and kicked Jemin's shinbone hard with the hard toe of her shoe.

A muffled "bang" was heard.

Jemin remained completely still, without even changing his expression.

His body, forged through countless trials by the Body Tempering Technique, possessed a hardness comparable to high-grade magical metal.

Viola, on the other hand, felt as if she had kicked a solid steel pillar.

Even though a level six wizard's physical abilities are definitely not bad, she still cried out in pain, hugged her foot, and hopped on one leg, tears welling up in her eyes.

Seeing the smug look on Jemin's lips, a fierce glint flashed in Viola's eyes.

The next second, Jemin felt a sharp pain in his shinbone!

"Huh?" Jemin was genuinely surprised, looking at Viola who had finally recovered from her grimacing outburst. "Senior, your mastery of the laws... has reached this level?"

Judging from Viola's expression, it wasn't just "empathy," but rather a direct transfer of her own suffering to the one who inflicted it!

"Hmph! You're like an animal!" Viola complained irritably, rubbing her still-painful foot, but a smug look quickly appeared on her face. "But you know, your senior is just that talented!"

As she spoke, seemingly to show off, she reached out and made another gesture in mid-air.

Jemin immediately felt the pain in his leg vanish instantly, as if it had never happened.

Viola raised her chin like a proud peacock: "See? I can 'store' my pain and 'give' it to anyone when I need it."

As she spoke, she glanced at Jieming with a slightly threatening look.

Jemin immediately understood and clapped enthusiastically, exclaiming in an exaggerated tone, "Amazing! Senior, you're awesome! Your application of the law is truly masterful, impossible to defend against!"

Ang and his son stood by, dumbfounded, their faces filled with bewilderment.

He simply couldn't understand why these two seemingly unfathomable and powerful seniors would create such a... peculiar atmosphere when they came together.
