Chapter 377 Battle

Chapter 377 Battle

Anton Buchanan's private dimension was unusually noisy today.

On the ground, hurricane-like storms raged continuously, accompanied by turbulent energy flows from afar. All creatures in this plane knew that these were the aftershocks of a battle between beings.

The fifth-level wizard Helios pushed his energy body to its limit, and at this moment he had completely transformed into a human-shaped, blazing white sun.

He hovered in mid-air, and with each wave of his hand, he unleashed a raging storm of elements.

Meteor-like exploding fireballs, chain lightning that tore the earth apart, and extreme cold rays that froze souls... all sorts of powerful area-of-effect magic were poured down as if it were free, turning the once lush grassland into a purgatory of lava, frost, and scorched earth.

His attack wasn't entirely aimed at the Black Giant; it was more about creating chaos and suppressing any possible movement paths for Jemin.

The other, a bio-modified wizard named Morpheus, has completely lost his human form and transformed into a horrifying shape.

His lower body transformed into a cluster of thick tentacles covered with suckers and barbs, supporting his massive body as he moved at high speeds. His upper body extended from it several pairs of bony scythe-like arms that gleamed with a metallic sheen, and mouthparts that constantly opened and closed, spewing acid and neurotoxins.

His defensive and regenerative abilities are terrifying; wounds that are blasted into his body can often heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Only areas continuously covered by the time force field will experience significantly slower recovery.

Jemin stood on the edge of the battlefield, fine beads of sweat glistening on his forehead.

A great light emanated from behind him, and a ring composed of tens of thousands of rune artifacts spun at an unprecedented speed.

The barrage of bullets, like a golden downpour, desperately intercepted and weakened Helios's wide-range bombardment, and provided fire support for the black giant priests charging ahead.

Six black giant priests, like six black lightning bolts, frantically attacked the two level-five wizards under the combined effects of time acceleration and enemy deceleration.

The black liquid metal on their bodies constantly devoured the energy attacks, and their ability to disrupt the flow of time made their movements so fast that they left afterimages. Their heavy fists, imbued with a spatial-tearing force, slammed into the enemy's shields and bodies time and time again.

Two of the black giant priests were seriously injured, with one arm severed at the shoulder, and black energy flowing from the cut like blood.

That was the price paid for shielding Jemin from a tricky surprise attack by Morpheus.

The entire battle area seemed to be filled with invisible cement, heavy and viscous.

This is the [Spatial Anchoring Field] that Helios and Morpheus set up together at great cost after discovering Jemin's incredibly troublesome spatial abilities.

The locked space completely eliminates the possibility of Jemin using phase shift or spatial slash to launch a surprise attack or evade.

Jemin could only rely on the overclocking effect brought by the acceleration rune artifact and the time manipulation of the black giant priest to barely maneuver through the gaps in the attacks of the level 5 wizard.

"We must solve one of them first!" Jemin thought anxiously.

The energy reserves of the Great Light Phase were being rapidly depleted. Although the Black Giant Priests were valiant, their injuries and energy consumption continued to accumulate under the combined counterattack of the two Level 5 Wizards.

He himself was like dancing on a knife's edge, constantly forced to dodge Helios's condensed solar flare or Morpheus's sharp, paralyzing tentacles that suddenly shot out from the ground.

Even if it's just the aftershock of an attack, it still requires the Great Light Phase to instantly stack more than a dozen layers of energy shields to withstand it.

If it weren't for the powerful physique and various adaptive resistances brought by the Body Tempering Method, he would have been seriously injured by the aftershocks of the battle long ago.

On the other side, the two level-five wizards were also in a bad mood.

They were already seriously injured from fighting each other, and it was only by luck that they were not successfully ambushed by Jemin using his spatial slash.

However, the relentless attacks worsened their injuries, forcing them to retreat repeatedly.

Both of them knew very well that once the spatial blockade ended, it would be the time of their defeat.

Therefore, the battle must be resolved before the space blockade is lifted!

Suddenly, due to the intense battle, Jemin's beam of light overheated due to the high-frequency release, causing a momentary delay.

"Now!" Helios roared in a mental attack.

The blazing sun he transformed into suddenly contracted inward, and then exploded with a roar!

A pure, destructive energy pulse spread out in a ring, instantly blasting away the black giant priests who were attacking him.

Even with their talent for absorbing energy, the sudden surge of excessive energy caused the black liquid metal on their bodies to boil violently, clearly indicating significant damage.

Almost simultaneously, Morpheus seized this fleeting opportunity.

His massive body, covered in tentacles and bone blades, broke through the slightly sparse barrage of bullets with an agility disproportionate to its size.

Several of the thickest tentacles, like battering rams, pierced the air with a piercing sound, heading straight for Jemin, whose mental energy was highly concentrated due to controlling the Great Light Phase and the Black Giant!

The tips of the tentacles gleamed with a ghostly light that could break through energy defenses; it was clearly his trump card!

"That's exactly what I've been waiting for—you'll resort to desperate measures!" A fierce glint flashed in Jemin's eyes, but he showed no sign of panic.

At the critical moment, a colossal figure, over fifty meters tall and resembling a black mountain, suddenly appeared in front of Jemin. It was one of the two level-five black giant leaders!

The black giant commander appeared at just the right moment, blocking the fatal attacks from Jemin and Morpheus!

"roar!!!"

The black giant leader, who had been prepared all along, let out a deafening roar.

It neither dodged nor avoided, letting the tentacles, powerful enough to tear mountains apart, pound heavily on its dark chest!

Its powerful physique, capable of withstanding a level six attack, was instantly riddled with holes, and hot "blood" splattered everywhere. But its massive body remained as steadfast as the most loyal bulwark!

Just as the tentacle struck, the old power exhausted and the new power yet to arise, Jemin issued a cold-blooded command through the soul contract—

Self-destruct!

Inside the massive body of the Black Giant, it was as if a black sun had been ignited.

The destructive energy surged to its limit in a hundredth of a second, and then…

Boom!!!

A terrifying energy storm, comparable to the previous explosion of Helios, erupted fiercely, centered on the Black Giant Commander!

Black, destructive energy mixed with the torn body formed a shockwave that instantly engulfed Morpheus, who was standing nearby.

The shockwave then expanded rapidly, engulfing Helios, who had just unleashed his ultimate attack and was in a brief recovery phase.

The space, which had been solidified like a solid iron plate by the [Spatial Anchoring Force Field], groaned under the strain of this destructive energy impact that spanned multiple levels, becoming distorted and unstable.

The moment the command was given, Jemin, like a startled rabbit, darted behind the black giant priest who had just been blasted to his side.

The loyal priest immediately turned around and shielded Jemin completely with his body.

The black liquid metal flowing on its body surface formed a defensive posture, forcefully withstanding the core shockwave of the self-destruction.

Even so, the terrifying force sent them flying, crashing into a small hill in the distance.

The aftershocks of the explosion have not yet completely subsided; billowing smoke and turbulent energy currents are still raging.

"Cough cough..."

Jemin emerged from beneath the black giant priest, covered in dust, coughing up a few mouthfuls of spittle, but his eyes were as sharp as an eagle's.

He didn't bother to confirm the outcome of the battle; he could clearly sense the locations of the black giant priests who had been blasted away through the soul contract.

Without hesitation, he immediately issued the final command through the contract to all the remaining black giant priests, including the priest who was protecting him:

Charge! Approach the survivors! Suicide!

The next moment, several black figures, like moths drawn to a flame, rushed headlong into the still-lingering smoke and dust of destructive energy.

Relying on sensing the energy fluctuations emitted by the two level-five wizards, he rushed towards the location where the two level-five wizards might be.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Four more, even louder and more destructive explosions followed in quick succession amidst the smoke and dust.

After giving the order, Jemin didn't even look at the explosion site and immediately lay down on the ground.

His hands shone with alchemical light, and like a gopher digging a hole, he frantically dug into the ground beneath his feet, instantly creating a tunnel thousands of meters deep.

He plunged inside, trying to avoid the secondary impact and energy surge that the series of self-destructions might trigger.

After a short while, everything finally calmed down.

Jemin cautiously poked his head out from the scorched earth, where smoke was rising.

The scene before my eyes was like the end of the world. A giant crater with a diameter of several kilometers had replaced the original landscape. The edge of the crater was made of vitrified soil and distorted spatial remnants.

Following his soul connection, he quickly located the energy cores of the black giant priest and leader that had survived the self-destruction and retrieved them.

Then, he saw the two figures barely maintaining their forms in the center of the giant pit.

Morpheus's once-proud bio-modified body was now in ruins, with most of his tentacles blown off and his bone blades shattered.

There was a huge hole in the core area, which was struggling to repair itself, but the speed was extremely slow and the energy was extremely weak.

Helios's energy form also became dim and lifeless, like a candle flickering in the wind.

It was clearly severely damaged in the series of self-destructions, and even maintaining a stable energy form seemed somewhat difficult.

Seeing the two level-five wizards who were "only" seriously injured despite such a terrifying series of self-destructions, Jemin couldn't help but grit his teeth and feel a sharp pain in his teeth.

"Truly... thick-skinned and tough!" he cursed inwardly.

As the level increases, the wizard's vitality does indeed become increasingly "inhuman".

Morpheus and Helios at the bottom of the pit also saw Jemin peeking out. They looked at each other and saw helplessness and bitterness in each other's eyes.

They struggled, speaking almost simultaneously, their voices weak but clear: "We... surrender."

As soon as they finished speaking, the two figures suddenly vanished from the giant pit, as if they had never existed.

As Jemin watched this scene, his pupils contracted slightly.

"Is this the power of an eighth-level wizard...?" he murmured to himself.

The surrounding spatial anchoring force field still exists, and the space remains sealed off.

But the wizard Norn was able to teleport people away so effortlessly, almost silently.

Completely baffled as to how the other party managed it, Jemin knew very well that this meant ordinary spatial sealing was utterly ineffective against an eighth-level wizard.

Jemin quickly stopped dwelling on these things. He brushed the dust and ash off his wizard robes, looked at the cloudless sky shattered by the shockwave, and sighed helplessly.

Although they won, they suffered heavy losses; the black giant army in the inner space was almost decimated.

He took a deep breath of the acrid air, raised his head, and scanned the seemingly empty scorched earth, the twisted hills, and the turbulent energy currents that had not yet completely subsided.

Suddenly, Jemin spoke in a clear voice, which echoed across the silent ruins:

"Come out. You've been watching the show for so long, it's time for you to show yourselves."
