Chapter 45 Aboriginal People

Chapter 45 Aboriginal People

"So, these natives should be the real enemies of this trial."

Thinking of this, Benjamin became more vigilant.

No longer relying on talismans and magical weapons to fly at high speed, they focus more on concealment and move entirely on their legs.

Finally, on a journey deep into the valley, Benjamin saw them from a distance.

It was a team of about twenty people, dressed in rough animal skins and tree barks.

Each of them moved swiftly, hunting a wild boar-like monster the size of a van.

Benjamin floated silently into the treetops, hid his body, and observed these people from a distance.

"Interesting... isn't he a savage?"

Benjamin soon discovered something wrong. Although their appearance and dress resembled those of primitive society, the weapons in the hands of these natives were actually real metal products.

Judging from their communication, they had a very complete and robust language, and could perform some techniques that seemed rather crude to him.

For example, a short speed boost, a simple earth wall defense, or a poison arrow with a paralyzing effect.

However, the most commonly used one by these people is a special power that can strengthen the body.

With the help of this special power, they can burst out strength and speed several times greater than their physical fitness in an instant.

"What is this? A knight?"

In addition, Jemin also found some very exquisitely made small accessories on these people - primitive civilizations would not have such things.

He saw how they cleverly cornered the Tusker Boar, how they used throwing spears to wear it down, and finally worked together to kill it.

After the hunt is completed, they even know how to divide the work, with some people on guard, some cleaning up the scene, and some responsible for transportation.

There is a kind of vigilance and hostility towards the outside world in the eyes of these indigenous people.

While transporting the prey, several natives would glance around from time to time, their eyes alert and vigilant, as if they were guarding against something.

Following secretly all the way, Jieming soon arrived at where they lived.

It is a fairly large cave with good concealment.

Unexpectedly, there were not many people. Including the hunters, there were less than a hundred people in the entire cave.

With this kind of number... this place can only be considered a small gathering point.

However, Jemin gained a lot, because he found two natives wearing heavy armor in the cave, and there were even slight energy fluctuations emanating from their weapons.

Although the other more fragile residents around were also wrapped in animal skins and leaves, they also used metal objects to work or collect food.

There are even some freshly fired pottery jars placed outside the cave.

"Is this... the survivors whose original civilization collapsed and who can only survive in the wilderness?"

Benjamin understood.

However, these people were of no value to him for the time being, and their energy utilization methods were too crude. He understood most of their energy flow paths by just scanning them from a distance with analytical skills.

"But if there's a native who's a little stronger, maybe his cultivation method would be more valuable to me."

After observing from a distance for a while and making sure he was not discovered, Jemin left the valley quietly.

Deep in the limestone world, in a hidden valley covered by layers of twisted trees and huge stone pillars.

The bonfire crackled, and the firelight illuminated the weather-beaten faces.

This place is much larger than the simple settlement that Benjamin had accidentally discovered before. It is a temporary camp built by survivors from several different "kingdoms" who secretly contacted each other.

The atmosphere in the meeting room was solemn and depressing.

It is called a meeting hall, but in fact it is just a huge tent.

Several warriors with resolute faces and wearing simple half-body armor sat together, their strong bodies exuding violent power.

On the other side were some shamans and priests with restrained auras, holding bone staffs or scepters.

These people sat around the fire, all looking unhappy.

They represent the survivors of the various kingdoms destroyed in the Greystone Realm, now united in a common hatred and revenge.

They were once the true masters of the land of the Graystone Realm, with an ancient kingdom, a glorious civilization, and a faith guarded by generations... until the arrival of a group of outsiders who called themselves "wizards."

It was a nightmarish catastrophe.

Wizards possess incredible power, controlling the elements and distorting space.

Their kingdoms were destroyed, their homes burned, and countless of their compatriots turned to dust under those cold and powerful sorceries.

The survivors were forced to hide in the most secret corners of the Graystone Realm, living a life like wild beasts, struggling to survive, just to continue the bloodline of the kingdom and wait for an opportunity for revenge.

This time, the apprentices of Nolen Academy entered the Graystone Realm on a large scale, which undoubtedly ignited the hatred and vigilance in their hearts again.

"Here they come again!"

"Just like last time, crawling in like a bug!"

"Those guys are getting closer and closer. They will definitely discover our presence eventually!"

"Everyone, our scouts have confirmed that the outsiders who entered the Graystone Realm this time are all 'cubs' who have not yet grown up." A knight commander with a hideous scar on his face said in a deep voice.

His voice was hoarse, like the friction of metal, the mark left by long periods of hiding and fighting. "Although their strength is not weak, it is far inferior to those wizards who slaughtered our kingdom!"

"This is our chance!" Another shaman leader gripped his bone staff tightly, his voice filled with hatred. "Our ancestors told us that when foreign enemies foolishly set foot on our land again, that will be the time for us to wash away our shame!"

"But these wizards use strange methods. We can't underestimate them," a female knight warned, frowning. "According to the intelligence others have brought us, these guys have a special mobility ability. If they encounter danger, they will disappear... It will be difficult for us to completely wipe them out."

"They use spatial abilities..."

A voice drew everyone's attention. Turning around, they saw a priest, looking somewhat embarrassed, pulling out an exquisitely constructed ring from his bosom.

"Those guys call themselves wizard apprentices. This is something I learned from an arrogant wizard apprentice. This is how they can easily escape from our world when they encounter danger."

"Spatial abilities..."

After hearing the pastor's explanation, the others looked at each other, and some of them couldn't help showing frustration on their faces.

In their world, spatial abilities are exclusive to gods.

However, those gods who used to hold high the kingdom of God and sit in the starry sky had long since disappeared in the first round of purges by the monsters called wizards.
