Chapter 165 The Dragon King Comes to Visit
Harmon, the youngest king of the dragon clan and a disciple of the Elf King, would cross the Saint Bash Sea every now and then, flying from Dragon Island to the Elf Kingdom to visit the Elf King and bring Shu Li a bunch of valuable treasures.
Today, the Dragon King wore a gorgeous robe, a rare sight. His silver hair was combed meticulously, and he wore a golden forehead ornament that represented his status, showing his nobility.
Next to him stood a strange young man with silver hair and silver eyes, tall stature, dressed as solemnly as the Dragon King, with a golden forehead ring on his head, and it was obvious that he was of high status.
Shu Li looked at him suspiciously, and the other party was also looking at him curiously.
Those who came with the Dragon King are also from the dragon clan, right?
Shu Li nodded implicitly to the boy and looked at Harmon.
Harmon looked at the young elf in front of him and said with a smile, "I haven't seen you for two years. You've grown taller."
Shu Li's eyebrows twitched.
He is really the one who brings up the wrong thing. Height is his sensitive point.
It was already depressing enough that all the young goblins born in the same batch were taller than him, but as soon as they met, Harmon complimented him on his height against his conscience, which was really heartbreaking.
However, since the visitor is a guest, he can only smile.
"Thank you for the compliment." Shu Li politely greeted him and then looked at the silver-haired young man beside him. "Is this guest one of your people?"
The Dragon King usually comes to the Elf Kingdom alone, but today he brought a companion with him, which is really rare.
The silver-haired boy blinked, seeming to want to say something but stopped himself.
Harmon laughed, pushed the silver-haired boy in front of the goblin, and asked, "Look who he looks like?"
Shu Li was confused. Who did he look like? He couldn't tell!
The other young goblins gathered around, greeted the Dragon King one by one, and then stared at the silver-haired boy.
The silver-haired boy was stared at by so many curious eyes, and he leaned closer to Harmon a little embarrassedly.
"He's a dragon, right?"
"Those who are with Lord Harmon must be from the Dragon Clan!"
"Are you of age?"
"I heard that the dragon race also reaches adulthood after a hundred years."
"So is he a minor like us?"
"It's possible, but he's so shy and doesn't talk."
"Hahaha, you must be shy!"
The young goblins were talking at once, making the silver-haired boy blush and not know what to do with his hands and feet.
Shu Li thought about it for a long time but still couldn't guess who he was.
Fairies have very good memories and will not forget things that happened hundreds or thousands of years ago. Shu Li went through his eighteen years of memories and was sure that he had never seen the silver-haired boy before.
He shook his head at Harmon. "I can't guess."
Harmon pressed his palm against the silver-haired boy's head. "Aren't you usually quite talkative? Why are you being so timid now?"
"I... I'm not a bug!" The silver-haired boy immediately retorted, slapping away the devil's claws that had messed up his hair. He puffed out his cheeks, trying to suppress his anger. He looked at Shu Li and stammered in Elvish, "Hello... Hello, Sperian, I'm Amanda. Long time no see."
"Amanda?" Shu Li and the other young fairies were surprised.
"Isn't Amanda a white baby dragon?" Budno asked doubtfully.
"Stupid, baby dragons will grow up too." Desio bent his fingers and tapped his forehead lightly.
Budno dodged nimbly and made a face at him.
Angel looked the silver-haired boy over and pointed at a strand of golden hair among his silver hair and said, "I remember there was a row of tiny golden scales on the back of the young dragon."
When the dragons transform into human form, they will show the characteristics of their dragon form.
Harmon raised an eyebrow. This little elf named Angel was a very observant person. After thirteen years, he could still remember the scales on Amanda's back.
Amanda's cheeks flushed as the little goblins talked about her.
Seeing his shy look, Shu Li recalled his delicate childhood, suppressing a smile and politely saying, "Amanda, welcome to the Elven Kingdom. Today is the first day of Midsummer's Day. I hope you enjoy your time here."
"Thank you, Sperian." Amanda breathed a sigh of relief and licked her dry lips. "I missed you guys so much, but my brother refused to take me to the Elf Kingdom. I couldn't play with you unless I transformed into a human. So I had to study hard, and finally succeeded a year ago."
After hearing what he said, Shu Li said sincerely, "Congratulations, Amanda."
According to Sit, dragons grow slowly, and it takes a hundred years for them to reach adulthood before they can transform into human form. Amanda, even though she's still a minor, already possesses a human form, clearly a gifted individual.
"Congratulations, Amanda!"
“You’re awesome!”
"We missed you too—"
"It's great that you can come here. Let's spar later."
"Disio, stop thinking about fighting. We need to get along with our guests in a friendly way!"
"Sparring is not fighting."
"No sparring on Midsummer's Day."
Where there are young fairies, it is always very lively. When the adult fairies and elves see this, they all smile kindly.
Although they hadn't seen each other for thirteen years, the friendship between the teenagers was very pure. After chatting for a while, they regained their old feelings and quickly became friends.
"Amanda, do you have any news about Pern and Nia?" Angel asked the dragon boy.
Pern and Nia were mermaid cubs stolen by pirates. Thirteen years have passed, and I wonder how they are doing now.
Dragon Island and Mermaid Island are close to each other and there is no barrier between them, so there should be traffic between them.
Sure enough, Amanda replied, "Five years ago, my brother took me to Mermaid Island and we spent a few days together. They miss you too, but they're under even stricter control than I am! The Queen won't let them leave the island even once."
Mermaid cubs have no fighting ability and will become prey to other species if they leave the protection of adult mermaids.
Ever since the two mermaid cubs were stolen by the Necromancer and the Dark Elves, Queen Shuratis has issued a new rule, forbidding the cubs from leaving Mermaid Island.
In other words, if Pern and Nia don't learn their skills well, they can forget about coming out to play with the fairies.
"If they can't get out, we can go in!" Budno raised a finger and said excitedly.
"How do we get there?" Lois asked. The goblin was underage and couldn't leave the goblin forest.
"I mean we, we--" Budno pointed at Shuli, Desio, Angel, and the silent Kumandi.
When the other young goblins heard this, they expressed envy, jealousy and hatred.
"Ahhh, how could I forget that you can go to the mainland for training in advance!" Jonah spread his hands and said with envy.
Amanda asked doubtfully, "What do you mean by going to the mainland for training in advance?"
Harmon, who was standing nearby and talking with other elves, couldn't help but prick up his ears when he heard the boys' conversation.
"The five of us have passed the king's test and will set off to study at the magic academy in the courtyard in a few days." Disio said proudly with his head held high and chest puffed out.
"Magic Academy?" Harmon approached. "Isn't this the Saint Vilia Magic Academy founded by the God of Magic, Danlov, two thousand years ago?"
There are tens of thousands of magic academies in the entire Austin continent, but the most famous one is the Saint Villiers Magic Academy, which brings together geniuses from all over the continent and is a gathering of heroes.
"Yes." Shu Li said, "We both have letters of recommendation from the magic academy."
"Three years ago, Danlov wrote it to us personally when he came to the Elf Kingdom!" Budno showed his white teeth.
Harmon stroked his smooth chin and looked at his silly brother. "Well, studying at a human magic academy is a good idea—it's settled!"
He looked up at the Elf King walking towards them and saluted respectfully.
"Teacher, I have a request. Could you allow my brother Amanda to study at the magic academy with Sperian and the others?"
